    I think Magpie is a really great addition if you like to pvp. It only cost one point, you get 10 seconds of dark sight boost and you get 2 two seconds per hunter loot (If you're playing solo) .
    Serpent is also great because you'll get 50 meters range with it (Also if you're solo). Combined with magpie, it's really easy to steal 10 seconds of dark sight boost, and knowing where your ennemies are is game changing.
    Tl;dr : Magpie and serpent are really nice for solos as well

    Serpent has become my absolute favourite. Just feel it gives me so much flexibility in how I approach compounds as a solo.

      I think I should try using more often, when I have it I usually forget it but other times I think: “if I had serpent…”

      @@amnesicturtles4145 Had the same experience, but ever since I started making it my first pick it has become second nature. Really speeds up moving through the map, especially in conjunction with Conduit.

    My top picks for solo nowadays are Beastface, Necro, Resilience, Magpie. I take Doctor if I win big or survive multiple matches. Then whatever traits fit my loadout. I almost always bring big Regen shot, so saving on healing is not really an issue unless the boss is Scrapbeak or I get into an extended fight outside of compounds.

    Gator Legs
    Ich spiele viel Solo,
    ich schieße schlecht,
    ich mag kein Campen,
    ich muss irgendwie an Clues und über die Map ohne aufzufallen,
    und ich finde Gegner nicht die auf mich schießen.
    ABER ich hab den Spaß meines Lebens mit dem Spiel und du hilfst mir dabei. Merci!

    I usually play duos and I pick traits more or less in this sequence:
    1. Doctor
    2. Weapon trait (Iron sharpshooter / repeater / scopesmith / levering for terminus etc depending on the weapon I want to use)
    3. Pack mule
    4. Necro + resilience
    5. Extra healing (Frontiersman / Ghoul)
    6. Serpent
    7. Lightfoot / Pitcher for short or medium range loudouts respectively
    Add. Resist traits like Salveskin, Kiteskin, Bulwark etc whenever I have some free unspent points

    Interesting to see your take on this Mike. As a much poorer player than you, I get serpent over doctor because it means I get to choose my engagements. This along with necro/ resilience has meant I am actually learning to get better at the game rather than getting kicked for even trying. Amazing how much fear sniper/ necro instils in teams with bounty.

    These are the first ones I pick too but Lightfoot is my favorite solo perk to have. Sets up the best ambushes and escapes.

    1. Packmule: I like traps; resupplying traps without this is annoying since you'll always get traps back instead of something situational more useful.
    2. Dauntless: rarely works against explosives of enemies but when it's awesome,also handy to cycle explosives on resupplies.
    3. Bulwark: funny when a bomblance thinks they killed you with normal ammo 😂
    4. Lightfoot: always sneaking-stabbing, yes-yes.
    5. Doctor: only on 5th rank?! Yeah, regenshots grew on me, so the times doc saves the day decreased.

    Kiteskin and gator legs are where my first 4 points seem to go. I also now go “trait hunting” with a bomblance for 2-3 matches with new hunters and farm as many traits and a few levels before I deck out my hunters for pvp.

    Serpent, Necro, Resilience, Gator Legs, Lightfeet. I think that's my top 5 for solo and teams. Magpie is also really nice, since it's really really cheap.

    Doctor and Conduit are my go-tos, and as stated some Traits are entirely loadout-dependent; Bulletgrubber is of course highly recommended for guns that benefit (like Mosin or Terminus) but does nothing for other guns, and I consider Bolt Thrower necessary for full-size Crossbow but of course does nothing outside of that (I find the Hand Crossbow boost minimal).
    Magpie I find is strong trait in general; of course solos get the boost for 10 seconds of DS instead of 5, but in teams I feel it gets more value from the Bounty than Conduit. Of course, it gets nothing from Clues, but if you're only running Conduit for Bounty value, I think Magpie is better for 3 less points.
    As stated, I basically never run self-revive without Resilience. It counters Concertina if you wait for the other players to go away far enough (and wombo combo with Antidote), and can even get you a risky revive in some (very specific) situations. Necro is, of course, also good on teams at times for the distance res.

    1. Necro: just so you get the second chance
    2. Conduit: Mainly for the Stamina: you are Faste and actually more silent since it helps with your asthma
    3. Packmule: Just for the extra BANG or to replenish Traps
    4. Resiliance: Together with Antidote/Necro it`s hard to Kill you (Apart from the burning Part but still)
    5. Magpie: Mainly cause of the cost-benefit

    I never take packmule. Usually lightfoot because I’m more close range. 1 full vitality with doctor is good enough heals for me.

    Easily for solo only Necromancer, Resilience, Serpent, Magpie, Conduit. You don’t need Doctor or Packmule as much if you run at least 2 Vitality Shots. Medkit, knuckle knife, con and poison traps, two vitality shots, flash and frag is my solo consumables and tools.

    I'd replace Conduit with Serpent. Pick up clues quickly (even while outside compounds, even while walking/running) = fast movement, stealing the banish (rare but great when it works), stealing the bounty from boss lairs and/or when it's on the ground in the middle of a big fight with multiple teams

    On the topic of traits, do you think the Vulture trait should allow the user to see the location of dead player bodies? It will be an improvement for the Rat playstyle and it kind of goes along with the nature of the trait.

      Crytek has said 100% no to that idea for _years_ now, since -- obviously -- this would enable a new level of revive camping.
      Imho, if it instead enabled you to see bodies _with dark sight boost,_ it'd be okay.

    ive honestly given up on necromancer, its not worth the trait slots when most situations whoever just killed you is going to watch your body indefinitely, resilience either

    silent killer is always my first purchase with a fresh hunter, regardless of loadout i think it carries great value.

      I prefer assailant, then leaving the melee tool slot open for poison traps to combine with my conc traps, and using a throwing knife to melee oneshot hunter in a pickle, but also throw kill EVERY grunt I see, immediately picking up each knife, since this is practically Silent Killer for free.
      I only run Silent Killer with a riposte weapon variation or Bomblance/Combat Axe/Railroad Hammer/Saber/Machete 🤠

    Okay so is the chance for double-boss-maps actually reduced?? I asked this in your discord as well, but the way i understand it, you either have one boss or two bosses (50/50), and if its single boss and happens to have the right weather conditions, there is also lady rotjaw. So Conduit value is the same...? Am i missing something here?

    Nice vid Mike. An off-topic question: do you know why there isn't a teamchat-function implementet in Hunt? I really miss that function as a random-player. It always brings a huge disadvantage compared to premates. Has this been discussed before by the devs? Greetings

    Honestly thought for solo it was going to be Necro, resilience, salve skin, doctor, (gun trait ie iron repeater) I have gotten a few lucky revives because I had salve skin and either the team had more pressing things to do or didn't have the patience to wait for my bars to tick away

      I feel like it's a courtesy thing, if I killed a hunter and burn him I wait like 10 seconds and then go do my other shit, I hate waiting for them to burn out and if they have self revive they hate me waiting on them, if they want to revive and try fighting me while they're one hit I like fighting them too. (Often I put traps for a potential kill if they revive) but teams waiting for you to burn out are understandable but annoying AF

    Curious to hear your opinion on health bar layouts, you say 2 1 1 1 1 is the nobrainer with Necromancer
    But is 2 2 1 1 or 2 1 1 2 viable/better for some scenarios when you got Necromancer? Or it's a straightforward decision?

    Conduit schould work for everyone in a team who has it. Maybe only 2,5 minutes if you share the boost but that "Do you want the clue or can I have it?" is annoying.

    Necromancer should be for duos and trios.
    For solos i would like to see a tread called like deathcrowch or kinda. Let you spawn at a random place 5 to 10 meters away from where you were downed and
    also only if there is no enemy closer than 20 meters. And maybe only once, but nah skip that.
    So you can save your hunter, you can also retry an engage, but there is not that abuse and disturbing of general round process like it is now.
    Evendo i do like the chaos we havew now also^^

      May I ask what round disturbing process solo reviving has? For all one can know, he person you killed might have a teammate hiding who can revive them, even at range with necro. So you can have hunter “stand up” on their own, but you it might not have been solo revive. Then what difference from enemy perspective is there if the hunter gets revived by teammate or by himself? Teams can revive and they already have a numbers advantage over solos, why shouldn’t solo players have the ability to revive themselves? I think that ability is only fair. And if someone complains about having to camp a body, then it is weird if they have a peoblem with solos but not team revives (and if they have a problem with revives in general, then solo revive isn’t the problem).
      So why is in your opinion solo revive disturbing general round process? Also as I said, teams have access to revive too (even at distance with necro), why doesn’t that already disturb round process too?

    Greyhound, Bloodless, Vigor, Salveskin, Lightfoot. Always a vit, reg, and antidote. Vigor saves meds in peak a boo battles, and combining it with greyhound allows me to get around as fast without needing determination. Incentary and dum dum ( as well as poison and concertina ) are crazy annoying to deal with, so I try to limit those factors

    How can self necro be op? You are still a solo, up against at least one opponent, usually two or three... I love self revive, although it hurts my K/D...I dont give a sht about those numbers.

    It seems to me that crytek caters to solos more than trios or duos ...to easy for a solo my opinion especially with necro and resilience and magpie the list goes on.

    I'm on the side of removing self revive. In my oppionion (maybe not just mine), if you choose to play solo you want that uphill battle. No need to even the odds. Maybe that's just my oppinion.

      The alternative would be to match you against people of your skill level from now on. So a solo 5 star faces duos/trios that are also 5 star. I think giving you equal chances against players who are worse than you is just not fair.

      The odds aren't even with self revive. It's still an uphill battle. You having 1 gun and 1 position is a huge disadvantage if the enemy has more than 1.

    When Solo I get Magpie as soon as possible, which is very easy. 10 secounds Wallhacks is very nice

      You're not always the one picking up bounty and as a sniper you should NEVER pick it up before you assume everyone is dead
      As a solo you mark yourself with a bounty token on the map and give up one of your greatest strengths: Being hidden
      Magpie is good, but not top 5

    At first I was happy the solo Necro perk was staying as I play solo quite frequently, but since Ive been playing with it a bit and have used it to wipe squads over and over after Ive already been beaten fair and square, I dont believe it belongs in the game and kind of cheapens the reputation of Hunt being a "hardcore" fps. Just my opinion.
