Hi it's a great video on business card. thank u very much. May I also ask you how you place your picture in the lower right corner of your you tube presentation? thanks
Wow, that is so good technic. Its really simple and easy, grate video and I would definitely use it to create my business card. Good way to save money. Thanks for the video.
Gday, Trevor, Firstly, sincerely like your spirit and style and giving back. Good on ya mate! Now to the business cards. I'm with you to the point that you export the image. Adapting pre-defined Powerpoint formats is a brilliant idea. However I would suggest using Word rather than PPT for final layout for the following reason: label makers such as Avery offer for free a Word template that exactly matches the printing of their fold-and-tear business cards.
@ Trevor Easton Thank you so much. Great tip. Question : When i print out the ppt in business card, it comes out washed out. I cleared the compression settings, still print comes out pretty bad. When i snip it into ms word, it comes out okay. Any suggestion?
Hi Trevor , May I ask when saving your business card is it the exact same way in 2013 office. I'm just asking because the Save & Send option isn't in the file save a... Would you know if I can do all what you done saving and that with office 2013.. Thanks Andrew
Hi Andrew, In office 2013 there is no save and send. However the feature to email the file can be found under the share option in the file menu. You may also like to look at the Export features found in office 2013. Best wishes Trevor
Hi Trevor Easton first time commenter on your page/ blog & also my first time watching your video tutorial I really enjoy this tute' & you explain everything very well & clearly & I like video tutorials like this; cuz I want to do/make business card that look perfessionally made & I could find any tutorials on how to make them this way until I came across yours & I love this technique that I'm willing to try this tecnique in creating business cards. However TAFS & I Look forward to your response A.S.A.P! Have a Good Day Ahead & Thanks a Whole Lot. NB: One thing/ Query I have for you if it is possible for you to do the same video tutorial but play it a lil slower but not to slow & also the camera zooming setting a lil closer; thanks in advance & in all excellent video tutorial & I think I get the gist of the video demonstration. TA!
Unless you plan on printing your own cards with your inkjet desktop and trimming them out yourself, Powerpoint is NOT the tool to use. Powerpoint is slide presentation software and is optimized for such. It has NO output options required for professional or commercial printing. For business cards, flyers or brochures that need to be printed professionally and in quantity use Microsoft Publisher instead.
Not true. You forget RGB only output from Powerpoint which can cause problems downstream in the printing process. At least from Publisher you can output composite CMYK. We all have to accept files from programs like Powerpoint and *force* them to work for purposes other than intended. However, you run the risk of incurring additional costs because you did not allow for bleed or correct color space for the printing process. Your tutorial is fine for hobbyists printing at home, but I would not suggest a business of any size use powerpoint for anything other than slide presentations.
These tutorials are not intended to help commercial printers. We use a Cannon production printer and produce 1000,s of business cards lanyards brochures and flyers each month designed in word and Powerpoint. Most people do not have access to Publisher and not even understand the colour considerations mentioned. Thanks for sharing. Trev
