There's so many characters that seem cool to learn but in the end, I like pressing far slash on Katalina. All her standing normals are a far slash so its nice.

She feels great though. Great move speed, great normals, great damage; she feels like strive ky honestly. Crazy. She has the xrd ky projectile through seal for ex fireball too which crumples on hit and lets you win fireball duels. It's a lot of fun.
Avatar Belial is a glass cannon (or perhaps a "Straw Nuke") who sacrifices his health for universal special follow-ups, shorter H special cooldowns, and a generally large and varied arsenal. Unga bunga, but with added resource management.
He can also play like a midrange punish character in neutral with good projectiles. I think the best way to play him is playing midrange since he can convert any pokes into good corner carry then go ham.
I like when Sajam plays the same character as me so that his chat can tell him all the tech and he can do it in the video and then I can steal it while having done 0 research. Damn he's good.

If I were to play her, it would probably be cause of Vergil memes and she reminds me of Johnny. Nothing wrong with attractive characters, but most characters here fit into that archetype that they all look the same (alongside a "same face" problem that can make it hard to differentiate between them). Tekken has a similar problem, but now I'm just going on a tangent lmao.

I can get pretty disgruntled when I lose despite not knowing a MU and encountering something for the first time and it gets me into a self imposed cycle where I think im garbage because I dropped like 1 game to a yuel or anre. Its nice to see somebody with much more experience who is much better than me having some growing pains too and not confirming properly of anti airs or not having an answer to something like cag or anila and dropping rounds/games and so on
Hey man I know how this feels, it can be hard sometimes to not get disgruntled, I have found over time it has gotten easier to deal with and I normally spend a lot more time in training mode these days but keep at it man the more you play the better you will get.
There should be a Seth Killian cheering avatar who calls you an idiot if you win and a scrub if you lose. Also sometimes he teleports behind you during a match and SPDs you.
Too many characters that I want to play in this game, but I do think the endgame will be Narmaya. I absolutely love her visual design, her animations are 11/10 and her combos are some of the coolest in any fighting game I know Will probably struggle with her at first but I'm motivated cuz the character is just so sick
Sadly I dont see alot of ppl play Narmaya, I love her fighting style. reminds me of ukyo somewhat from samshow with the sword draw slashes. or Hibiki from CVS2
She’s harder than the rest of the cast to use efficiently - a common trait amongst most stance characters, and she wasn’t very good in the first game. That’s likely why she’s so uncommon. She’s also a straight up gooner character so there’s that.
Grimnir is the most fun I've had with a character in a while. Very solid has a few notable weaknesses and probably too much damage but I absolutely love the options I have to answer situations and the flexibility behind them. Just a real blast to play.
It feels like a patch plus DLC. They did change the shading style a bit too which does look nice. Even though it's not a huuuuuge change, I feel like I got my money's worth. It's a really good game.
They significantly overhauled the combat mechanics, gave everyone new moves, added multiple new characters, a new story mode, a whole new online party game mode, and made tons of other smaller changes besides. This is very much a sequel. The only thing they didn't change at all was the visuals, but it's kind of obvious why they wouldn't.
It would be nice if Cygames add Narmaya's new "Butterfly Effect: Dragonsbane" Skybound Art to the game just like they did with Gran and Beelzebub Other than that, fighting games devs need to tell people to use wired connection

Avatar belial is not really normal belial, his whole gimick is spending HP to do very powerful moves, but personally I think its pretty unbalanced against him since most combos that utilize that feature end up doing just as much damage to yourself as you do to the enemy He has a sick flight stance that allows him to do a plus on block hit, an instant cancel overhead, a flying command grab and a fullscreen laser that confirms into hit tons of fun to play, in the current balance of the game, he is mid

The only way the current price isn’t already a discount is if you bought the original deluxe edition AND bought each season pass as they were launched. We all know that most people at best bought the deluxe of the first launch and that’s it. This game is 50 and includes everyone that ever launched plus 4. You did get a discount, they just gave it to everyone else too.

Ive been thinking about it, and ive decided I hate the implementation of big flashy freeze-frames for counter hit cl.H and anti air 2h, it makes it insanely awkward to time my punish and I feel like Im even worse at it than I was in the original as a result(so from bad to really bad lmao) I know its a flair thing but it feels detrimental to my gameplay.
@@MegiddoRain Yeah I think thats how its supposed to work, but something about it just makes my brain fail to time things properly in anti air scenarios. Something about the sudden transition from slow mo to normal speed feels really bad to me, it came up with me sometimes in strive also
@@CaptinSpykejust a tip: on regular hit the followup is usually a cancel (either into a special or the autocombo), right? And on ch It tends to be a different cancel (no cancel). Similarly to what happens in strive, u can buffer the regular hit followup and then override it on the big ch slowmo with the right special. This is precisely why a lot of the ch 2H combo trials make you spot dodge, to override whatever cancel you'd use on regular hit and then continue the combo with c.H or whatever it is for that character
@@cerdi_99 Yeah I mean for the case of narmaya, I know my antiair in both stances(214l in genji stance, whiff 236l in kagura stance) but I just mean that even when I know what to do, the counter hit animation interferes with my brain's timing and internal clock and it just feels annoying to deal with. Maybe I'm explaining badly lol its okay, eventually I'll learn to deal with it

For example, with Siegfried on regular 2H AA hit, I have to do 623L if I hit high or 214M on all cases. On CH, I have to do 214[M] instead. Sometimes I don't react in time bc I'm not really paying attention or in tired or whatever, but if I'm buffering the followup, at the very least I'll get that extra hit, along with the extra dmg and oki It provides.

The way I see it is you get a bit more time to see the trajectory of things for the appropriate follow-up
