Before lockers, winches, maxtrax, high lift jacks, shovels, snatch straps, ‘Rated’ recovery points blah blah etc etc etc ……….were a necessity apparently, we used to just let our tyres down.
Hey guys, we were so excited to see your video pop up. We adore Hat Head and you did a great job showcasing it.. Loved your music choice and your ribs looked amazing, definitely would love to try your recipe out sometime soon. We can't wait to see the rundown on your latest Conquer, it looks like lots of fun. Cheers Marg & Steve
How did you get your 490 in the caravan park? For unknown reason, whenever we go to a caravan park with ours, the wheels on the 490 just siezes as soon as it hits the caravan park driveway? It seems like our 490 isn't caravan park compatible. 😂😉
Was that Sandy part of the point plomer track the only sorta rough part, planning on doing it in my Isuzu dmax in a couple of weeks tyres down only recommendation?
The track was generally rough the whole way but the sandy part was the only challenging part though really. Without towing anything you would nearly get away without letting your tires down at all, although it is good practice to do so. Go for it mate you will be fine.
Great video. Would love to know the track you took at the start. We have done Delicate Beach and loved it but didn’t know about any decent trails like the one you did.
Hey guys thanks for watching, once you come across from the ferry on the Northside from port Macquarie you basically follow your nose along the edge of the beach.
Great to see you guys testing a UEV490. We've taken ours across Australia including 1000s of km on some of the roughest roads. In our experience the 490 strikes a good balance between true off-road capability and camping comfort. Looking forward to your reviews. BTW - didn't your 490 come with the usual plates, bowls, cups and cutlery?
Thanks for taking the time to comment, yes the 490 come with cups plates bowls etc. but we had very little in the way of sponges and dishwashing detergent to wash things up 😂. The first world problem of having 2 campers to pick from 😜

Hi guys. I'm watching the video on hathead via point plummer etc . My question is : you I get a full size caravan through... .😊
Hi Paul, you probably could, it does get a bit scratchy in spots.

@@SmartTouringSystems I hear you. We have a smaller camper trailer too and have forgotten to swap camp chairs from one to the other.
Amazing location! Do you have to have 4WD to get to this campground? Also do they have hot shower?
Is a great spot. No you don’t need a 4x4 to get here we just wanted to got there hard way. And yes certainly is hot showers.
