Never give up, just slow down. You got this. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Personally before you put on the blue the grey distressed looked more stylish.
Yes I agree I did like it like that 👍
Just a simple comment here. The detail on the piece came out way better without the blue. You don’t need to match. Use towels or soap and other dispensers to pull the colors from the tiles in.
But when it comes down to it, it’s your place do what makes you happy. Oh Rock On to both of you, I mean that literally. We miss the heavier music.
I don't miss the heavier music
@josephviescas553 you and me both, but we are the rare few, others prefer the more gentle mix lol
So good to see you both and the doggies! The room and bath look lovely! Please don't fret about the vanity! It will work out.
With the gold leaf you are supposed to let the glue go tacky and then put the gold leaf on and leave for it to dry before brushing the extra off .I hope that helps Lisa
I watch Terry on Escape To The Dream, Restoring The Château. on UA-cam he does a lot of gold leaf . So never give up
Your chair and room turned out lovely. I like the wallpaper!
So nice to have someone to talk things over and come up either alternative plans!
Hang in there Lesa and Ted ❤🇳🇿🌹
Walking the dogs with your awesome hubby is a great way to clear the brain. ❤️🥰
I jut love those tiles
Ted, that toilet looks like you measured it :D The joint under the toilet is only subject to intermittent flow of water and never under pressure so the seal will be fine.
Anything you both do always turns out great! Your a good team! Well done!
Thank you so much!
I love it as is, put it in place like Ted says and sit with it a bit.
Really lovely chair Lisa...
Love the drone shots and the dogs running up together. The camera work in general is brilliant these days, keep going!
Thanks so much!
Gosh you guys have worked so hard over the years , would be nice to watch a no work today vlog 😊❤
@@doggiesable1 I think it’s definitely due x
If everyone would ask one person, friend/ husband/ wife, etc to subscribe, they’d be well over 20,000. I got my husband to subscribe.
I am sure by the time you post the next video Lisa will have nailed it 👍🤗💐🍷🍾🍷
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
@@suehall3298 I hope so Sue ❤️
I loved the vanity the colour you painted before you added the blue. It looked really nice.
I love you two. You are both so genuine and such hard workers. I don’t understand why your channel doesn’t have more subscribers. You are very natural in front of the camera and I really like your projects. I hope you can think of a way to get more subscribers as it would help you both a lot financially. Keep up the good work. Xx
❤❤❤❤ Hang in there! I've had days like you feel like it won't come together! You guys are doing great! Taking a walk is just the thing! One look from your pups eyes and a break will help! Take care!❤❤❤❤
Glad you moved the chair, looks much better there. 😊
Hi.. paint the grey over the blue and distress it for blue to peak through...
@@Omalie62 worth a try at this stage 🫣
I agree, paint it back to grey 😮
Hang in there. It'll come together. ❤❤❤
Bathroom looking lovely, sometimes best to walk away from a job and clear the head..
@@johnhanson5565 definitely 🙌🏼
I would paint distressed beige and put just a strip of distressed blue on the pretty detail at the top
To remind you about not going nuts with the blue!! haha
I am will you sort the paint work out Lesa dont be beaten ♥, Nice job on the toilet Ted . Thanks for sharing♥
@@annettesharrock1236 thanks Annette ❤️
Lesa, don't give up, you got this. It might not be a complete match to the mirror, but it will be beautiful.
Love seeing the bathroom come together.
Loved the drone shots also.
I am rooting for you, Lesa.❤
You are both such hard worker's ever since you drove in the driveway on day one. You are amazing putting up with rough living conditions and now how beautifully your place is taking shape. ❤
Sometimes its good to walk away for awhile I know you will make it work ❤
should’ve left it grey then just dry brushed some blue in the patterned pieces and wiped it back. the blue would then remain on the pattern and give it aged patina
I like the more natural finish on the wash basin stand. It seems to fit better with the organic colours and feel of the tiles.
And I love the drone shots! 🎉
Thanks April, we have been practicing 👍
Keep safe and healthy Lisa and Ted 🌟👏👍🍀💐
You leave us on a cliffhanger - I have questions - why does it need to match? what is wrong with the beige? why can't 100 more people subscribe and push you over 20K?
@@ingridhendy5922 Lesa is asking the same questions 😭
If everyone would ask a friend/ husband/ wife, etc to subscribe, they’d be well over 20,000. I asked my husband to subscribe
I agree
Go back and start the process again on the vanity unit…….. forget about matching it to the mirror, it looked great before you put blue on it.
good idea about "less blue" tooooo much cheapens the look...good idea
The floor looks so good and I love the tiles!!! Love this color Lesa! The table is awesome!!!
@@jeanburgin160 thanks jean. ❤️
Paint it gray and then distress. It. It’s already gorgeous ❤❤
So the adverts prior to your post were all leaving related. Watched since h the beginning. We’ve done our best, your journey has been exceptional. However the real world impacts us all. My best wishes for the future whatever that may be.
Distress it by rubbing it back a little. It would then show a bit of all the colours... Your bathroom looks wonderful and the chair looks terrific near the window.
Great work Leesa.👍 Don't worry, walk away for a bit. Then look at it again with fresh eyes. It will all work out beautifully..❤ Karen 🦘🦘
The bathroom is lovely❤
I liked it better without the blue
I liked the grey distressed look, myself. But I am sure you will find a solution that makes you happy. You always figure it out, Lesa.
I lean towards the grey but the camera sometimes doesnt show true colour, its your eye that will decide😊
I like the original grey with white distressing. Suggestion just paint the raised bits a touch of blue like mirror.
Good luck with your vanity for your bathroom Lesa. Looking forward to see what it looks like in the space. M Tucson Az
@@user-bx5xf5ki8r thank you for watching ❤️
I really liked the original color you had on the sink base. The blue is a pretty color but it may be a bit too much in the small bathroom. You want those gorgeous tiles to be the star of the bathroom, then you can use the blue as an accent color…hand towels, soap dispenser, maybe a small pot for a plant, etc. You 2 never cease to amaze me in what you are doing and accomplishing with the chateau. 👍🏻👏😉🥰💙🐶🍷🙏
Lesa, the chair and stool look soooo good by the window. It’s perfectly gorgeous. A sturdy small table is all it needs now. The little round ones aren’t right in my opinion. Something like your cabinet you’re working on. Just the table top with legs and no drawers. Just so you can see through the bottom cabinet and the wall is visible underneath. That way it’s not chunky or flimsy with a small round table. Are you confused now 😂
I really liked the grey tone the blue tone is really bright
Hi both sending love Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️
Sweet vlog 😊
Thank you 😊
I like the grey version better. There is a lot of patterns in a small room. Let the mirror be the drama.❤
You will get it perfect in the end you always do. It does look stunning as the beige. Maybe redo the mirror once you know how you want the washstand.
Wow the vlog shots are becoming better and better these days and this room will be completed in no time. That beautiful chair does look fantastic where it is now the progress is coming along nicely ❤
Nice vlog, real life stuff. Like you say, tweaking is an art in itself and everything comes together in a wonderful way. That's the Chateau De Montmagner way. 👍
Absolutely!
Prefered when u first painted gray. Not a fan of blue paint in mirror i would also paint it grey to match. Your tiles are very busy, you need to give the eyes a rest. In this case less is more.
Honestly I would have left both vanity and mirror wood tone and just done wax or stain. Maybe a little distress. It would match what you already have done in the rest of the room.
I did wonder whether leaving it the grey/coffee colour over all, and just dry brushing the moulding with blue would work.
I think it’s the wrong tone of blue to suit the style of the furniture. I would try another blue and massively toned down. Something more in keeping with the age of the building. Electric blues like that didn’t exist in those days I believe
The chair does showcase better by the window, even though I originally thought leaving it in the other corner was really good. The small chest you have in the corner now, I think I would angle it rather than have it straight as it leaves one with the illusion you are just filling a space. The bathroom is coming on nicely. I love those tiles on the shower walls, and the tomettes work with the floors of the other room. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
I think keep it as it is. Leave the blue for bathroom accessories? Just a thought. ❤❤
❤❤❤
I think you've done a shabby chic .. but you never know till you try it, remember the cupboard is wood and mirror plastic... I think once it's in place, it will come to life, whatever colour you go with 😊
You sound sad at the ending. Hang in sometimes it’s all to much . I know you struggling on many fronts you tube , the sale and the renovating , finances . It’s a tough season , but I’ve learned its training ground for the next elevation in your lives . Hold tight !!!
@@staciamartin923 thanks Stacia ❤️❤️❤️
I trust your choices Lisa. You need a bit of a break dear girl!
I do, I don't know what is wrong at the moment, I just can't seem to get it right 😞
With the floors finished is why I stand behind natural wood for the vanity and not painting it with the wood door and all the blue and other colours in the tile. I was only sad when it was being painted but I understand why you needed to :) it will grow on me and anyone else who uses it. I don't like spiders either Lesa :) not in my home thanks. Interesting toilet building never much see someone do it quite that way but hey if it works why not. A nice one too even mine isn't that nice. I would go back to the base colour tbh Lesa I think it's too overwhelming for you and the room :)
I love that wallpaper.
Thank you
Thanks
Thank you so much for the support, we really appreciate your friendship ❤️
I'm sure in the end the colours will match I have every faith in you ,if not I'm sure it will look lovely what ever colour it is x
I actually love it
I admittedly have no clue about painting, but would it be possible to have beige speckles with the blue, or blue speckles on beige?
🔨🖌
Yes. Yes. Yes.
100 more likes everyone.
Please.
I would leave the blue off the table. You can bring the blue in other ways. Don't fret over it. You have both worked so hard!.
Why not viewers say you’ve subscribed on the the like button and we can see how many people are actually subscribing xxxxx😊😊😊😊😊 I’m a subscriber 😊😊😊
I preferred the Frist colour.
No to the blue
I also think you should paint it gray❤️
I would leave the blue of the table it's to strong I would leave it as it was🤔
Looked lovely light gray looks awful blue.
Lesa I don’t think it’s you that’s the problem ok
It’s because the plastic mirror is a different material than real wood.
I have done lots of spray painting and painting by hand things.
Maybe keep the sink different from the mirror
Do your browny/grey for the wood and keep the mirror the blue I love blue so I think the mirror is beautiful just put a few items around to match the blue of the mirror. Towels etc..
I'd say keep the side jobs for money. This is not the time to turn away work. Lesa is capable of doing most of the the projects herself as we can plainly see.
Too blue
👋👍❤️
💖
too much blue!! and the blue in the tiles is much darker..
The blur ruined it!! No!!!!
You’ve have a good go at it, but I think you may have had better luck had you thinned the paint and dry brushed it on. The darker blue of the mirror may be because either it was dry brushed with black paint on a dry round brush to get a hint of a darker color or a little black was mixed in the blue paint to tone down the brightness. Personally I think the blue is too bright as is. It seems too modern, doesn’t it? I didn’t see anything wrong with the grey, in fact, I rather liked it. The vanity and mirror don’t have to be matchy matchy as you have both grey and blue in the tiles, aye? Food for thought.
Perhaps use the blue on the decorated parts of the wood? Your choices, in the end, are spot on. The top looks great, Ted. Well done to you both.
I liked it before you put the blue on there
I kept hoping you would fade the blue back on the mirror, which seems overdone and make it match what WAS a lovely little Greige cabinet. I think you are overwhelming that tiny bathroom. As you said, you can undo and go back when it is all your own game.
Sorry that blue is way too bold and bright.
BEST
Try the wood colour😂
@@marjanvanpelt8283 bit late for that 👀
Definitely try it and see how it looks in situ. You may be pleasantly surprised with it as it is, or you may look and know exactly what you need to do with it. Stick at it!
Why are you so obsessed with having to add blue?
The beige looks superb. If you must add blue, do it very very sparingly
...!!!😺😺😺
You have received over 200 likes in about 5 hours and the UA-cam counter did not go up.
Something is goofy.
Tell us about it!!! We have tried everything 🤔
The grey was perfect, the blue makes it look cheap.😊
Something is amiss with your numbers. It just doesn’t make sense. Have you investigated? Your content is always good. Your personalities are endearing. No way should your subscriber numbers be that low. You are being blocked somehow.
Maybe just put blue on the detailing on the legs and cross pieces......
I don’t like the blue at all. Sorry, but I think it looked a lot better before you put the blue on it.
