This saved me! Used this to create shadows for text, which had a reveal animation and the light source was behind and off angle so the shadows were skewed and reversed. Tricky but this helped a lot.
Your tutorials are always incredible and very easy to understand. Thank you so much for help me to learn more about Character Animator. You are the best!!! 👍👍👍
This is awesome thanks a lot I’ll definitely keep this in mind it’s too much different from what I’ve done in animate so it looks like a easier transition to it thanks again!
@@ChrisOVEMERY Thanks! I finally started working on some small animations. Started with animating a broom (fantasia style) in Adobe Animate. Decided to try ToonBoom last weekend and... love it! It's a bit overwhelming, but I'm really enjoying learning it!
Excellent guidance and presentation style! Thank you!

Thank you! Really helpful! BTW -- One other way is to use the scale and slant tools when 3D is not an option.

straight to the point ,thanks
Awesome quick tutorial Chris! Do you do the same for animations from ToonBoom or do you do the shadows/reflections right inside the ToonBoom software?
I often actually do the same. Ch or Toonboom - I almost always render PNGs to inport in after effects and then handle all that in Ae

Trying this and my reflection layer keeps going up and behind the actor instead of staying on the floor. I am so confused.
Sounds strange... As if there is something going on in the z axis if I would have to guess?
Thank you

My shadow turned into a reflection instead. How do I fix that by chance
