We used them at work back in the 1980's. Great piece of kit but had problems with batteries, attenuators, and internal out of lock issues. Cost a fortune to get fixed...
Hello Eric.. In the video I explained where you can get the board and filters etc.. Dave can also get you a full set of schematics to go with the board.. But if you want to roll your own just get on google and search the noise meter, DB3NT has a good article on it... Or email me direct and I can send you some info.. Skip
Are the boards and parts still available for this? Or are the Gerber files for the boards available so I can make one? I tried googling for this project and didn't find much other than your videos.
Hello, as I stated in the video you can purchase the boards from Dave, VE7HR.. His address is there also.. Be quick though as he may be away for a few months at the end of this month.. Or from Kuhnes.. Skip
Hello David, interesting you mention the tonne software for meters.. I used something like theirs for years but this looks newer.. But I am trying to replace the meter with something like the Nextion displays for a standalone meter for this noise meter.. I got one working but the digital circuit is so sensitive and fast acting the needle is to jumpy.. A real meter movement dampens that out.. I tried all kinds of averaging and got it better but still to jumpy to measure small changes.. I need to look at the Tonne software for other things though.. It might replace what I am using now.. Well done Skip … again perfect engineering, see you off the moon 73s de Jac PA3DZL
I'm building one right now. Found your video a few days ago and it is very helpful. Thanks
Good to see a 1200s that still works. I have two here, both are dead. Internal batteries failed years ago. Probably other issues too...

Love the meter Skip. This would be great for keeping your dish on the moon at mw frequencies.
Very nice project. Schematic? Where can find the helical filters?
