Not native english speaker here. Can someone explain to me what IS a surrey with a fringe on top? it's the words surrey and fringe that trouble me
surrey is a light horse-drawn carriage, the fringe is the decoration on the roof. A picture of a surrey can be seen on the cover of the original cast recording of this musical :)

I hope he goes back to Hadestown when Reeve leaves.
I like some of this - the arrangement and everyone is clearly talented, however I prefer Hugh Jackman's interpretation which is more traditional - bit too much "pop" in this performance for my tastes - but of course everyone is free to have their own opinion :-)
Hugh Jackman actually saw this and he LOVED it.
I was really disappointed with hugh Jackman’s performance it doesn’t even compare to this if you want classical watch the movie Gordon Mcrae kills it way better than hugh
Drawing from cultural traditions of early American's, country folk and working people - to make a show, which is fine and fantastic. However done in a way that is so offensive and severely deprecating spirit that just cannot be considered good and wholesome.
