There's just something special about this era of Lep! Just the mean, raw, kick ass attitude! Never was really into this era growing up but the last couple of years I've really grown to appreciate this! Love it! Inspires me to get my own hard rock band going!
I think it's cool looking back to see their progression. There were so many signs of things to come, but the talent, the harmonies, the riffs... they were all right there. You gonna cover 'Wasted' in your band? I used to play that riff all the time (as best I could, LOL). Just love their older stuff. Cheers ~A
On that same album on through the night we did a song in our band called it don't matter by Def Leppard that's the one you should react to best song on the album
Absolutely, and the boys can still rip through this song like a well-oiled machine! Joe sounds great and Vivian rips on the solo. Wish they'd make it more of a staple live! Cheers, Richie ~A
Hey boys I was at that election night show as well, I Remember Joe coming out and saying there's a new sheriff in town and ripping into elected. Wasted along with Good Morning Freedom at the first Vegas residency are killer live songs 30+ years later
Hey John, so awesome you were there too! My first rock show, and I was absolutely hooked from there on out. Just amazing seeing them in the round! Was also in Vegas...long live the Ded Flatbirds, LOL! I wish they'd play 'Wasted' more often. Joe still sounds great live and Vivian shreds on the solo. Must feel like a throwback to the Dio days for him. Thanks so much for commenting and have a great day, John! Cheers ~A
While I love each album and time frame of music that Lep has contributed, you are definitely not alone in your feelings. Rick before the accident and Clark and Willis together was a completely different beast than what they are today, and I'll agree that there is something pretty magical about those first two albums. Although, I'd love your thoughts on 'Take What You Want' from their latest album. In my humble opinion, it's as close to an old-school return to classic Lep as we've had in decades! Cheers friend!
Agreed...love watching Viv let loose on a solo... like a Dio throwback session. Here's a link to the Download if you wanna watch the 2011 show! Cheers Ronnie ~A ua-cam.com/video/XnE9gLSoMzE/v-deo.htmlsi=Si91O2jZNlj9GKVq
May need to hire you as a fact-checker for us, LOL! Looks like you are indeed right... a little research shows this was most likely filmed live in London in 1979 and released overseas as a single prior. Cheers!

@@2TEN90 I'd want to but none of my other bandmates I don't think would do it! HAHA. But we are gonna be an original band with a few covers
Teenage Def Leppard: Allen 15, Sav/Steve/Pete 17, Joe 18 ❤
Not a bad job for a couple of high schoolers!
On that same album on through the night we did a song in our band called it don't matter by Def Leppard that's the one you should react to best song on the album

I may have several Top Ten songs. This is also one of them.
Also, they had to share mikes?
Can't argue with that! I just love that classic intro riff... definitely miss Clark's writing!

Year 1977 or 1978…for sure…not 1980.
