Between the CB300R and the Speed 400, what would be your pick for a daily use city bike that gives sorted handling characteristics, refined riding experience and a trouble free ownership experience as well. Although it’s city use, I do like to flick around and go fast from point to point. Or, should I ditch the options altogether and look at the Duke 390 instead?

@@acescokCB300F was the most value for money bike when it came with 64000 rs discount. Had almost everything you need in a bike in just 2 lcs in it's deluxe pro variant. Sadly they discontinued the model.
I have the red 2020 model. I,m 6ft or 1.80m tall and am surprised at how capable this bike is. Super good on fuel and I can ride it fast with confidence. I can sit on 120kph with ease and have topped out at 150 kph. Yep small tank and the mirrors are not so good. Build quality is excellent, reliability on par with the best. Dunno if I can trust triumph or RE on their new machines, takes awhile to get the builds right and I wouldn't want to be a first adopter, no doubt a year from now we will all know how good they are. Good luck with your purchases, but I'll probably update to a Honda 500 in a couple of years.
i own the cb 300r for 8 months now bought it for 346k inr in pune , even though there is a huge discount on the bike i still date have not regretted buying this beast, yes a beast it looks small but dont underestimate what this bike can do. the weight is the most important factor for me for the reason i bought this bike have clocked now 8k kms in 8 months crossed 3 states with no trouble at all.
@@simplestain6409 the handlebar doesnt exactly wobble but you have to consider how light the weight of the bike is. I did feel light wobble after 150kmph but nothing too serious
...the most striking thing about this machine is the weight or should I say the lack of it , at just 146 kg makes it the lightest bike in class !! It takes the highest quality and technology to reduce the weight at these awsome levels. Honda is Honda !!😍😍😘😘
I still have an CBR 250R in my garage and I´ll probably keep it forever. It´s basically the same engine but you can get it much cheaper and I like the sportbike look more compared to the coffe racer look.
@@ravesos7898 Starting with the seat quality it’s a bit of a hard seat the cushioning is not that great but you will get used to it, As of issues while i reached sarchu the next day while starting the motorcycle it needed a push but then not a single problem it crossed the passes so smoothly. The mileage i got was around 36-38 kmpl.

I own a cb300r 2022 model. 3.25 on road. Pretty good for city/commuter ride. Poor headlight beam. Very lighrt weight. Cannot accommodate pillion. Very uncomfortable for pillion. Get good mileage of 34 kmper litre on highways if you cruise at 80. Susceptible to wind conditions as the bike is vey light. Excellent torque. Very zippy.
Its a fantastic bike for people of short height and less weight. . Warna if your above 5 9 or more than 80 kgs... it will not suit you...but its a lovely machine... too good

if you need , you will get it. Honda is #1 Selling bike in the world. 14.8M unit at 2023 survey and other brands are not even closer to them. so Honda is good at selling,but they dont want to give emi and easy availability which leads this brand standard to go down and chapris buy it a lot.

I think its not the discount but cost cutting with endurance suspension at front and MRF tyres instead of Michellin road Pilot 2 tires...these tires are meant for 200CC bikes and found in likes of KTM 200...
i believe any past issues should have been already addressed in this new model. even the bs6 model, I had it for quite some time for review, didn't experience any major issue.

Id still go for either the speed 400 or the apache rtr 310. You just can't beat their value. It seems like honda has dropped the ball once again. Well, doesn't surprise me, honda has been doing that for 2 decades in the Indian market.
touring is the only issue because of the miniscule tank, only 9.7L, but still if u plan your trip well, this offers a completely fatigue free riding experience.
Parts availability is fine as long as they are regular parts like Air filter, oil filter, brake pads. Slow moving parts like tank panels, mirrors, alloy wheels, console, etc aren't ready in service center but need to be ordered which can take up to 2 weeks to be delivered but they are delivered.
I would suggest u honda cb300 r over rtr 310 the reason being honda has better service tvs has given obviously more electronics attached but it hasn't reduced it vibration problems also if one of the electronics have some problem probably tvs service center can't deal with it properly so if u want a smoother motorcycle with lesser electronics I would suggest that u go for honda being it an absolute beast on road with wonderful torque

Here is my personal view. I would say you test ride those bikes and go with the bike which you truly loved from the bottom of your heart. Don't judge by the spec sheet. Ill choose the Honda Cb300r any day, call me a honda fanboy. There is just something with honda bikes which makes me feel special.
I have a question- I still own a CBR250R,i love that motorcycle, so much so that I have added other bikes to my stable but never sold it.... I noticed that CB300r in gear speeds and topend is almost similar or even less at some time.... is it really that case?

yes 9.7 L tank is the only flaw which i have mentioned clearly in the video. rest of the bike is very good, in every aspect. i am not a cynical guy who forces myself to find faults. if anything is good, its good. this bike is serious fun. you'll understand that once u ride it.
I own a cb300r as well. To add to the negatives already listed. Battery on the cb300r is susceptible to discharge quickly when left unused for more than 5 days. Tried replacing the battery bit this does not help. Also the dim colored chrome on the exhaust is susceptible to rusting. Apart from this if you are riding on the highway, the bike can sway due to crosswinds as it is light weight. Feels good when there are tailwinds. All in all it is a city bike not pleasant for long rides. Having said that there are many who have done long tours.
it is a hoot to ride very good bike it is like a unicorn naked and fitted with double the power , good without pillion, however it is very silent , hunter on the other hand everyone in 5 meter radius knows it is coming and going, sound wise that is better😮

The engine and transmission in cb is butter smooth compared to s400 and riding the cb in traffic is super fun

No.. its manual naked which is much reliable than the shiny featured one's according to this price tag
Bike size is more important in that price
Even with cb350 you can cruise at 120kmph all day long, with cb300r you can do better
it is a hoot to ride very good bike it is like a unicorn naked and fitted with double the power , good without pillion, however it is very silent , hunter on the other hand everyone in 5 meter radius knows it is coming and going, sound wise that is better😮
And it is so small you dont even feel you are on a 300cc bike only if it was a bit bigger and sound was more it wouldve sold more
