You two are just great together. Both builds are just the dogs melchers! I have told you before Todd, I consider you to be as good as Ben of Crimson. Well Ben is going to have a job topping this collaberation. Just awesome from you both. Peace and love to all.
Both guitars look fantastic, can't wait to see the poplar burl pop, I know it's going to look stunning. Nice to see two mates having a laugh while building too 👍
Saturday morning, coffee and this surprise on UA-cam. Weekend is off to a great start. Both guitars look absolutely stunning. It’s such a joy to follow along.
Really great to see you at the same Time! Beside the fact that you both have a quiet very acurate way of working, it smells and sounds something so much positive when you talk and smile, and so humble … really enjoy watching you together.
That's what we love about working together. It has been so inspiring to do this and it has made me a better builder already. I can't wait to get into the next collab once this one is done! Peace & Love

Thanks for another kind comment, we really appreciate the support. And yes, we’ve ended up with 2 quite different guitars which is nice, I’m glad you’re enjoying the series!👍

That’s really kind, thanks!👍 we’re definitely pushing each other to think about each element of the build and the choices we make which seems to be a really good thing.
Great stuff guys. I love that you can tell just by looking that one’s a Tornelli and one’s a Sweet T. Fun to watch and as ever, I take little things away with me. The deep carve on Todd’s exposing the lighter wood does what the pickguard does on a strat, a visual trick to slim a belly (I need a tee shirt like that… ) The neck carve to heel transition on Gios is pin sharp and lush. Roll on E3!
Thanks for the continued support Jamie. You’re right Todd is great and changing the dimensions of the body by using contrasting wood and then carving, it’s quite a skill! I’m looking forward to E3 too!👍
Thanks man. I'm so glad that you are able to take something away from this. I am on a new level because of this. Gio is an inspiring builder and it makes me want to be at the top of my game. I can't wait to do this many more times! Peace & Love.
The Strat's my favourite guitar so it's a real treat seeing what you guys come up with in these builds - absolutely loving this series. That poplar burl is going to *pop* when the colour goes on!

There are a handful of great guitar builders on UA-cam but your work is just up a notch for me - it's delicate, relaxing and inspiring and the fun you two have really is coming through your edit. It makes me want to go downstairs and continue with my own builds, even though it's past midnight. I think we all need to try to preserve that as long as possible. Thanks for doing your bit my friend!👍
Thank you. One of the best things about doing this with Gio is that I know I need to be at the top of my game to keep up with him! Such a great builder and an immensely nice guy.
Love the humour you both bring out in each other. So refreshing. I think the out takes should be the main theme and the building added on the end for good measure. Seriously, good job both. They both look awesome. There was always this big thing that neck rolled edges were a super add on, but from the instrument's I have, and have built myself, I have always done rolled edges. I think this should be the norm, not something extra. What are your thoughts? It's all about the neck feel in my book. Love your work....both. p&l. Mike. You make my day better. 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
That’s so kind Mike, thanks! I think Todd and I are in complete agreement with you, we both think that the neck feel is what makes a guitar a joy to play, or not. I do roll the edges and polish to a high grit on mine, I’d imagine most people would like things that way but people are very individual when it comes to their preferences so I’m sure there are going to be supporters of both.
Hi Mike. I completely agree. I try and always place the feel above everything when it comes to the neck. I try little things on each build to try and land on a standard! I will continue to explore that as we go along. Thank you so much for your comment and the time you've taken to watch the video. Peace & Love
If you guys dont turn important peoples heads with these builds I would be supremely surprised. Just the way you two choose the woods you work with is above MANY others in terms of combinations and how you make them work so well. Both of these guitars are going to be unique and special instruments. I ALMOST wonder if the combination of brand names is not just pure destiny. Sweet T Guitars.. Tornelli Guitars.... Sweet Tornelli Strings. sTs in gothic / calligraphy mixed font. Quick note for Gio.. You said you may go active pickups in this build and probably have sorted it all out but to put a bug in your ear EMG just dropped a matched Strat set you may want to take a peek at at some point. I heard some sound demos and they cut much stronger with a warmer tone then any other Strat I have heard. The upper mids are not so shrill and ear piercing when playing leads and the middle combo is just so warm and tasty.
Thank you for the comment Bill. You always take the time to really put forth a really great comment. I really appreciate that! Active? Really?🤣Peace & Love my brother
Thanks Bill for another kind comment! It is really appreciated. I will be using active pickups but not for this one my friend, I already have a set for this guitar. However Todd and I have the next few collabs planned and I know which one I’m using active pickups for. And it’s only because you’ve been chipping away at me!🤣… plus I’d like to add for any potential sponsors reading that Todd and I are totally willing to shill for you and abandon our morals for free stuff! 🤣🤣
@@TornelliGuitars I wanted to try the Alumitones from LACE on my first GGBO. I talked to a tech about how they work and what they sounded like. He suggested a set to try. I asked him if they do sponsorships and he said they did. He gave me a marketing contact to talk to. I emailed her explained what GGBO was and the potential for exposure and what I had planned in proper form. She never responded to say hi , boo, go to hell or sod off. So I decided to NEVER use their stuff even though it looks interesting. I am sorry. If a company can not respond to an email then that says enough about their business to tell me I don't need to bother with them. That was the end of my foray into sponsors.
Both the guitars look amazing! Great job both of you! Todd the wood pick is what is really doing it for me. When you put the neck in and you can see the contrast of the dark top, light body and then the light fretboard and dark neck, makes it exquisite! Gio, I love the symmetry and carves! I can’t wait to see the color on that burl. I know that will be transformative for that body!

Enjoying this series going back and forth between your two channels. Really great looking guitars, both of you!
Thanks for the kind comment, I really appreciate it! I’m looking forward to colouring too 👍
PLEASE BE AWARE - Todd’s Instagram has been hacked and he has set up a new profile. Please do not trust any request from his old profile.
Absolutely! Thanks Gio for remembering to do this. I can't believe my little account was hacked! My new account is Sweet T Guitarz! I don't like it and hope it's temporary!
This is a great series, I do enjoy both of you. Both of the strats will be fantastic! Great choices of wood on both guitars. Wish I could make you both a great lunch or dinner!
I wish that too!😂 thanks once again for a kind comment and your continued support!👍
Both are absolutely amazing. I'm not sure what else to say. I know things I would have done differently. None the less. I can't wait for the next video.
