lovely video and informative. planning a 6 days trip in early Oct. planning to travel from Seoul to Pohong, Gyeongju, Busan and back Seoul. not too sure if it is a right arrangement
The main area is quite walkable. The only area you'd need to take bus is if you're going to the Gyeongju World Amusement park or the Bulguksa temple. But all the main historic sites are walkable
Have you hung around by car, bus, or on foot? This is my main question about how to move from one site to another! It seems that Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (for exemp) are more or less outside the city or in a rural area. This is why I'm asking if you could answer me, please?
Been there a week ago. You can definitely walk everything (except the Bulguksa temple and lake) if you are there for 2 days. I would even say its a must to walk to enjoy Gyeongju the most cause there isnt that much to do besides walking around the highlights! Overal lovely and calm city to take a break from the busy cities of Seoul or Busan
I only used the bus to get to Bomun lake and Bulguksa temple. The palace and Wolji pond aren't in a rural area, you can walk through Cheomseongdae Observatory and the flower park to get there. Def recommend seeing the Wolji Pond + Woljeonggyo Bridge at night. Enjoy!
I mostly walked around the main area since the main attractions is close to each other. When I did take the bus, it was similar to the bus systems in Seoul and Busan!
@@RoseanneDucut yeah but the locals there are nice/kind to strangers? I mean because I saw a lot of people said many Asians/non-whites are experiences racism or xenophobia in Korea but I think especially in less touristy areas or less popular areas in Korea like Gyeongju
@@stan_Jesus_for_live_longer I haven`t experienced any unkindness but others experiences can be different, and I am also a lighter-skinned Asian. We also can`t generalize a whole country based on what we see online or expect locals to cater or be over-kind to tourists
