    Gyeongju is South Korea's crown jewel, a city where history breathes life into the present. Once the opulent capital of the Silla Kingdom, it's a living museum showcasing Korea's golden age. Imagine strolling through a landscape dotted with ancient tombs, majestic temples, and exquisite artifacts. Gyeongju offers a unique blend of serene natural beauty and profound cultural richness.
    It's a place where time seems to slow down, inviting you to delve deep into the heart of Korean heritage. From the iconic Bulguksa Temple to the enigmatic Cheomseongdae Observatory, every corner whispers tales of a bygone era. Yet, Gyeongju is not confined to the past; it's a dynamic city that seamlessly merges tradition with modernity. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a tranquil escape, Gyeongju promises an unforgettable journey through time.
    In essence, Gyeongju is a treasure trove of Korean culture, a place where the spirit of the past harmonizes with the aspirations of the future.

    • @RoseanneDucut
      @RoseanneDucut  Рік тому +3

      The main area is quite walkable. The only area you'd need to take bus is if you're going to the Gyeongju World Amusement park or the Bulguksa temple. But all the main historic sites are walkable

    Have you hung around by car, bus, or on foot? This is my main question about how to move from one site to another! It seems that Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (for exemp) are more or less outside the city or in a rural area. This is why I'm asking if you could answer me, please?

    • @geurtsmeister7933

      Been there a week ago. You can definitely walk everything (except the Bulguksa temple and lake) if you are there for 2 days. I would even say its a must to walk to enjoy Gyeongju the most cause there isnt that much to do besides walking around the highlights! Overal lovely and calm city to take a break from the busy cities of Seoul or Busan

      @RoseanneDucut  4 місяці тому

      I only used the bus to get to Bomun lake and Bulguksa temple. The palace and Wolji pond aren't in a rural area, you can walk through Cheomseongdae Observatory and the flower park to get there. Def recommend seeing the Wolji Pond + Woljeonggyo Bridge at night. Enjoy!
