What a glorious piece of technology, and how similar cockpit operations were to today's aircraft! It is bittersweet knowing that so many of these men and their ships got knocked down like pinatas over Nazi Germany. How much time and effort had gone into bringing them to that moment of sacrifice. Incredibly brave men.

Arthur Kennedy. A movie icon.
Wonderful. My dad was a turret gunner in a B17 over Europe during WW-II
Was he a member of the Mighty Eighth?
Thank dad for our liberty please ❤
amazing technology and craftmanship to build the plane
Seeing a brand new B-17 inside and out is a treat!
Once you figured out all the controls and have confidence in the plane, now comes the hell of fighters and flak!
Oh boy, I'm ready to go. Where is my new B-17? Oh wait, I need to watch Part 2.
I love this! Superbly done and well acted - thanks so much for this :)
If this is an actual training film, some of the panning shots are ahead of their time. This was cool to watch. Thanks for posting this.
I really love their accent
ol' George Kennedy doing the talkin'....
The same George Kennedy from the Airport movies?
@@georgeben9904 you are correct I got the wrong Kennedy 👍
Arthur.
When flying was man’s work!! Can you imagine any Airbus crew coping with this workload, neither can I.
'she can do everything but think. but she can't think, you've gotta do that.'
ah, what?
Ok kid,, today we study engine failure on takeoff, handling that will make the rest seem like kid stuff.
