It's summer in Provence and the perfect time for a slow morning at a french café and wandering the local farmers market and romanticizing my life. It always feels good to take joy in the simplicity of things and recognize the beauty in our daily lives. I hope this encourages you to romanticize your life and look to what brings you joy whether that's being surrounded by nature or enjoying a slow morning at home with a good book and a tea or coffee in hand. I got to Instant V for my Birthday treat. We fell in love with Provence. We stayed in Lourmarin.
Right on the corner where Nonni's is. Loved the slow morning sitting with a coffee (not in a take away paper cup). Oh and the markets!! Thanks for all the posts. I was hoping I would run into you!
That is the best birthday treat. I still would love to be able to stay in Lourmarin for a weekend. It must’ve been perfect! Sorry we didn’t cross paths but I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed your visit.
@@SamFournier We stayed at La Cordiere...perfect funky chic french gite. Studio apt overlooking the street. Lots of charm and character. Oh...loved that you picked up Patti Smith's book. Seen her perform a few times and met her twice. Love her!

Dear Sam!!! Your video is so relaxing! I am here now and it has been difficult for me to try to enjoy the slow life in Provence as you do. I have spent my first week in Aix and the weather is terrible, but the food and people are amazing hahaha I am sure that eventually, I will get used to living here but right now is so hard to be alone and not speak French. I really came here inspired by your videos so I am sure that I have made the right decision, so even though I'm not enjoying it at all at the moment, your video gave me the perspective I needed. Hi Gab! I’m so glad to hear that you’ve finally made it to Aix! The weather is quite hot right now so I haven’t been exploring as often as I’d like to. I understand your feelings as it isn’t always the easiest transition. It took me a year to feel like this is home but everyone is different. I hope you find joy in the little things. If you’re ever in need of a coffee or wine date let me know, I know the feeling of being alone. All the best my friend.
Listen to Sam about living in a new country it takes time to adapt to a new culture and way of life especially in a country that speaks a whole new language to you.
Go hang out with Sam or other english speaking immigrants of the city if you feel alone. :)

Thank you Tim. I think its definitely worth it, it’s free and a lovely library. They have quite a big selection of English books, wasn’t expecting that many. Not sure if you already know about Book in Bar in the city center, they have a great selection of books and they can order you whatever you need.
