Thanks for this interview. Love her art and her story. But the cameraman can need a little skill up. Some cuts and frames were really uncomfortable and awkward.

6 years ago....we left Seattle to Dubai to Uzbekistan to Switzerland! We have just been here in Zurich for 3 weeks so far...and love it! Things are slower and calmer...we are in a village of 4,000....heavenly! Our dog Pixie loves it too! Yay for new adventures! Cheers to you!

This so beyond what I’ve seen, so much more than her house. It’s the whole story we all long for. My husband & I did the same, due to a health issue, so sold everything and moved to another country, filled with a new lovely community and fresh adventures, so thankful we took the leap of faith.

I love how enthusiastic she is about stepping out of the NY life and into what is basically a village's regular slow life :) The shops closing at night and on sundays is everywhere in France though, there are a few exceptions but it's related to workers' protection laws.
It's a good thing. I wish other countries would follow the same suit (looking at you UK) but I know it's not that simple.
I have loved Jamie’s work for years. I love her space. A great interpretation of a French lifestyle.
You can tell light is the most important thing for her.
I absolutely adore Jamie Beck, she is pure magic! Her creations are always so stunning. I can relate to a lot of what she said, Provence truly does slow you down and bring out creativity that I never knew I had.

She looks like she is standing in an oil painting when she is in her kitchen. Truly magical.
In rural Maine, we say hello to everyone, everywhere. It is very warm & friendly here. If you're an introvert, however, there are times you wish it wasn't. We don't close down shops for hours, and the pace is not as slow as you describe it being in Provence, lol. That is interesting and would take some adjustments for sure. Even when I lived in Clovis, California, everyone was friendly. It was fast paced, but friendly. I found it to be a melting pot of friendly people. One oriental lady I met in Smart & Final, loaned me her chafing dishes, for a party I was giving. She didn't even know me, and offered that kind gesture. Amazing. This was a very nice video. Thanks. Your artwork is beautiful. I went to New York once, and it wasn't for me. But I know of someone who loves it there. I went to see Phantom of the Opera. I had seen it in London the year before, and to be completely honest, I loved it in London, much better than New York. I just hope people who have never been to America realize that it is not all like New York. It all depends on where you are. Smile.

Yeah after 6 years you would think she could speak more french than bonjour. I think her toddler child speaks more french than her and her fam is from texas too lol Its just the age of self-reinvention 😝 anything to sell a book right

Wow. I love her photography and love the story even more. Her experience in Provence reminds me of the American South. When I moved to NYC the first time, the quick pace was rough. I'm in Paris right now and feel like the atmosphere is colder than NYC.

When people ask me where I would live if i could live anywhere in the world, knowing how much I adore Italy, they are always surprised when I say "the south of France."
