My personal favorites are marvel super heroes (juggernaut main), and xmen vs street fighter (rogue and gambit or sabretooth main).
@@SwitchUpYt never got to play any of them so this would be a new experience for me, any recommendations on which to play first?
Really a shame physical copies aren't being released worldwide or a restricted to Limited Run Games like Hitman Blood Money: Reprisal. But I guess beggers can't be choosers, as it were.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the best. Xmen vs SF is probably the best of the rest. Punisher is also a lot of fun.
Also, this isn't part two of Capcom Fighting Game Collection-- Capcom Fighting Game Collection Vol. 2 comes out next year. This one is Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. Their naming convention sucks lol

Loved the secret characters of number 1.
This is the only fighting game that i can hold my own against any real fighting game gamers! Love this game

I've been so excited since this was announced. All the memories of my mom dropping me off at the mall with a roll of quarters and using them all in the arcade, not leaving any for the pay phone.
My favourite is XMen vs Street fighter. I have fond memories playing in the arcade back in the day.

I use to get kicked out of the corner store for this one cause he didnt like that I stayed with 1 quarter playing everyone and no one beating me ha. Great time being around the tourney friends and had a huge upper hand pulling long combos

Can you believe it folks we are now one day away from the marvel versus Capcom collection being released digitally, and then those that really want to wait until November we have the physical collection.

My Saturn copies of X-Men and Marvel Super Heroes have been in storage since I moved, so this is a godsend!
I'm not even that big of a fighting game fan, but I preordered two physical copies as soon as I was able to, so I'm waiting on those. Love MvC2, and I _never_ expected these games to come back due to licensing shenanigans. Best thing is, all the games are included on the disc/cart, so when the Playstation and Switch servers eventually go down, you'll still have access to everything.

I spent so much time, and quarters, playing these games back in the day... I'm buying this to share the experience with my three young sons, who are, to my pride, becoming marvel fans...
Warning: In Europe at least the "physical" Switch version is a code in a box.
North America seems to be getting a physical cartridge but EU and UK are not.
PS4 copies appears all territories are getting a disc.
Fighting game character sprites have never been bettered. This is the absolute pinnacle of pixel art. £40 is an absolute no-brainer. I owned these games ( bar The Punisher ) on Saturn & Dreamcast and they cost me an absolute fortune on import back in the day so to have them all available again with no CD loading times is just a dream come true.
I am probably one of the few people that is the most excited about the Punisher having a home release more than the other games lol the Genesis Punisher game was so bad and finally having the real deal is awesome

I grew up with some of these games so I'm really glad younger people will get to experience them too. Late 90s/00s was a magical time for fighting games.

I remember staying at my aunts house during summer, and there was old bar across the street that had an arcade machine with Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter there.
We were only allowed to play if it was raining and we couldn’t play outside.
Thankfully summer used to rain a lot there.
I’m pretty sure I could’ve bought a house with the amount of coins I’ve spent in that machine.
Zero regrets tho.

@@Blade4127 Mayflash 500. But I changed the buttons and the stick out to swanza's. And I've got a hoary mini for the switch. Plug and Play,works pretty good.

I remember Marvel v Capcom on release in Arcades. I spent most of my youth Sciving School and blowing loads of £ in my local Arcades. Man things where so much better in them days. Life in general was just better. Cheers Glen. Great review. I'm nearly 50 and have seen it all in video games and when this 1st released, it's the Golden age of video games in my opinion. The Punisher beat em up alone is worth the pick up.
The glory days of Continue... (insert 10p)! Yep, life was better back then. None of this social media and internet crap, just word of mouth as to which arcade had which games, and the challenges with friends both new and old!

I’ve LOVED this series ever since I saw COTA for the first time in the arcade! Unbelievable sprite work and still looks beautiful today. Bit of a dream come true this collection ❤️. MVC2 is legendary. Thanks for the detailed review Glen 👍🏻

I'm gonna wait for the physical release in November even though I'm really itching to play it when the digital comes out tomorrow. I've only played Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter so I'm really excited to run through all these classic games.
I have all these on my arcade 1up and Legends Ultimate arcade machines they are good collections on the cheap.

Its been 20 years since i played xmen vs street fighter which was my favourite back in the day.
Im just so happy these are coming out.
Now to save up to buy the physical copy.

Got the digital version for PS4/5 now and getting the physical Switch version in November. I love these games.
I know Sony is very possessive over Spiderman but imagine if The Amazing Spiderman from the PS1, Spiderman Movie 1 and 2 for PS2 were ported to the Switch. I remember there being a DS Spiderman as well and I'd happily play that too.
Might invest in this just to get to fight as Wolverine and Spiderman as a compromise. Thanks for covering this collection SwitchUp!

This game gives me so much memories of playing it with my siblings and others especially Marvel vs Capcom 2 which still is for me one of the best crossover fighting game to be made to this day!

At that price I’ll stick with emu. I’m all for supporting official releases, but that price is ludicrous. 10 quid is what I’d pay.
Something you need to understand, is Punisher is the only CPS1 game in this collection. And it kinda shows in places. What you see with it is pretty much correct in all aspects.

Not big on fighting games but when I did play them I played the hell out of Marvel Super Heroes and MvC2. Definitely picking this up.
Nothing gets me as hype to fight as hearing "I wanna take you for a ride!" Definitely on the buy list!

Incredibly hyped for this! Got my digital pre-order, but I'm struggling to find a Switch physical version in the UK 🫤 No retailers appear to be offering it.
No physical release in the U.K. I'm afraid. North America is getting one in a couple of months and there is an Asian release which has English on the cartridge. Glen

Only place I have seen offering an EU/UK copy is PlayAsia unfortunately, bit loathe to order for delivery to UK because of the import duties!

I am excited for this and capcom vs snk but most of all I am excited for Alpha 3 upper. I used to play SF Alpha 3 on my GBA to death.
I used make people made when I played as Hayato on MVC2 back in the day. 💀 I was beast. I miss this game. One of my favorite games of all time.
Only ever played the first Marvel Vs. Capcom game in arcades (if smashing buttons is even considered playing). I fear for my Pro Controller if I do end up getting this game.

Old guy here! Im just chasing the dragon. Trying to get the feels of playing mvc2 like i was at gameworks playing against a complete stranger and whooping them and finish them w morrigan kiss of death then pressing start so I can still kick their ass while they’re KO’d . Then say next! .50c went along way.

We had a MvC2 Naomi arcade in my college and every space between classes a friend and I we went to play it, we bond better because of it and this games and this collection has make us reconnect again. Literally a message just came with "MvC2 when and where..." having it portable it's going to be amazing.
