    I thought to myself, there is no way this is going to be acceptable quality. But you did a perfect job with pretty basic tools. Im very impressed. well done and thanks for sharing

    Once again easy to absorb content, working in the aerospace industry I was taught basic hand skills to cut and file to various tolerances, CNC machinery is great if you require big production and have the banknotes, but your tutorial is right where I need to be, and the methods you show, keeps the hands in practice, thank you Matt.

    Great easy relaxed tutorial. Funny the animals in the background because I’m looking to to cope extensions on a gate to make more head room on one side of chicken coop. Meanwhile my goats, dogs, ducks, and chickens are my background spectators.

    Brought myself a notcher. Great for conventional angles. Then I came up against a 30 degree this way and 7 degree that way. Gave up after 2 hours. Found your video, followed the instructions and 10 minutes later...all done. Thanks, great video, I'll have a beer for you this evening!!

    This is definitely the best notching without a notching tool clip I've seen on here. There's no messy measure this, mark it this way, "properly" stuff. It's a common sense approach.

    how/what determine's the depth of the throat of the notch ? eg ; 1/3 ,1/2 of the tube diameter or do race sanctioning bodies each have their on rule ?

    • @Urchfab
      @Urchfab  6 років тому +1

      The notch needs to be deep enough that the inside edge makes contact all the way around the tube. you will see some notches looking like they are half way around the tube but that's only when they haven't been bevelled properly. With a proper bevel your gonna be looking more like 1/3. Cheers
