Akong Rinbochen ,i heard your reputation when i was a child but get noticed your great works when i am told you passed way just few hours ago,it is such an unbearable loss to the world in general and the Tibetan society in particular . I would like to offer my condolences to his family members and all who feel his loss .

Durham I am not the owner of the material, but Akong would want his message to be passed to as many people as possible so I think you can use it. You should publish the speech because Akong talsk about important things, which can help many people and this was one of the most important reasons why he practiced Buddhism. Good luck
Rinpoche is right, positive minded friends who wish you well are good to have around. I miss him very much he was a very important teacher, I am sure he will be back, I do not see how not.

Something he said really struck me...about how we expect kids when they turn 18 (or so) to get out on their own, make their own decisions etc... Now that I have a 13 years old son I see 18 year olds as children and I can't imagine our son out on his own at that age.
