Hi Lou....Great video as always. What brand of epoxy putty do you like best? Also is JB weld your choice of adhesive for photoetch parts. Is there a particular type of JB weld you use (i.e. 2 part mix)? Thanks

if it is slow curing I'm after, I go with Apoxie Sculpt everytime. long working time and tools like a dream. but you gotta leave it overnight to get really hard. I also use that to reinforce joints that might come under strain.
If I have to get things set up in a hurry, I use the epoxy putty you can get at Walmart or the home improvement stores. It comes in a tube and you slice off the bit you want to use. it can be white or grey and the you knead it together to activate it. it has many brand names. I also like the 1 minute clear epoxy, but you have to have your joint ready to go, because that stuff works fast and there is no repositioning once it's on
The 2 part JB Weld i use only in tight quarters where I want to glue and also light block. it takes much longer to set up and cure than the other ones. I use it for PE because it is best at lightblocking around the edges of the PE. it can get very messy, tho. I also use it to "fill in" gaps after i've tacked things together with CA

Thank you Lou. I appreciate your very detailed reply. Will definitely get a hold of Apoxie Putty. Looking forward to watching part 2 of this build. Thanks again.

it was a bit long winded, wasn't it?

I didn't think so. We ourselves sometimes tend to be our harshest critic. I found it very informative. :)

I'm sure it's all in there if you sift thru it. let me do a recount
      SMLEDs:
2 nano size reds in the stabilizers
6 chip size reds - 4 in the wing tips and 2 "taillights"
3 chip size cool whites in the dashboard screens
1 warm white in the main cabin
1 cool white on the cabin back wall
      Strip LEDs: (1 inch strips)
4 - 1 warm white and 3 cool white for the main instruments in the main cabin
1 - 2 inch strip cool white under the floor to light the floor vents
      LED bulbs - 1.8 mm
2 cool white for the main engines
that's what i recall off the top of my head

Lou Dalmaso is this all from Evan??? Also, what are tail lights? Are they specified as such?

the SMLEDs were. the strips were from Paragrafix and the bulbs are from Oznium.com the "tail lights" are what I call those lights at the rear tips tips of the structures at the very back of the Raptor
