DCM, obviously a proud Dad & rightly so. Nice work & congratulations on a job well done. I ordered my Lil' Nessie today.
I bought one as a thank you to DCA for all the Thursday videos for who knows how long now!! Nessmuk with carbon fiber for me. Hope you have lots of success.
Nessmuk profiles my preferred blade styles. Love that design DCA
Congrats DCA! Your life in the knife world is evolving!
The friendship you two share is beautiful to witness. Excellent work all around, it’s a lovely design.
Can’t wait to get my hands on one! Lately I’ve become a big believer in the small-to-mid sized pocket fixed blade. It’s not much more of a pain to carry than a large folder, but you still get all of the benefits of a fixed blade. Glad to see more quality choices in this genre.
The Ulticlip is the one piece of hardware that changed the fixed blade carry game.
Without it I doubt we would see the variety of pocket carried fixed blades we see today.
The problem is finding a workable pocket sheath. The MKM magnetic sheath is useless - as you try to draw the knife, the sheath comes out of the pocket with the knife.
@@M1911jln Really? I have the smaller version they make for slipjoints that I EDC for my SAK Climber. It barely fits in that sheath. Like it's still tight even after me using it and yet it stays in my pocket despite that super tight fit when I pull out my climber.
@@M1911jln I bought the knife as a thank you to DCAA for all he does (like many folks here). We also agree on almost everything knife. This sheath unfortunately isn't one of them. The magnet isnt strong enough to keep it stuck to your pocket and the inside of mine is already getting chewed to bits with the heal of the blade after a week or 2. I'll continue to enjoy the knife but I need to find a kydex maker to build me a sheath. Too bad.
Love this design. Hopefully it's the first of many!
Mad props for that very nice reverse tanto blade shape!
It has the ever so slight curve a reverse tanto needs!
Thomas is proud of you
Congratulations DCA!
Congratulations, DCA! Your knife designs are GORGEOUS
Congrats DCA. Can't wait to get my hands on the Nessmuk. Also please release some skipjacks again
I’m so happy the nesmuck is finally here I’m very much looking forward to carrying it! Well done Davis and MKM 👍
Congratulations DCA! I wish you all the success with those sales. 🎸🔪
Congrats DCA! It was fun to see you absolutely smitten over how they came out and rightfully so! I’m also so glad you went the Italian route with MKM as the “overseas” manufacturer!
Those olive wood handled nessmuks are stunning.
Beautifully done. And congrats on the release.
Just got mine and been carrying for the last two days; Initial impressions quite strong! Came wickedly sharp, and the lambsfoot blade shape is an EDC dream. Regarding the sheath, it’s breaking in slowly but as I’ve seen stated, when drawing from a fully seated position it does tend to come out of the pocket along with the knife. I’ve found success leaving it fully seated when I’m going about my day, but as I enter a work space where I’ll need it repeatedly, I push off with my index finger to draw it, and then re-seat it to a “high ready” position if you will. The magnetic retention grabs it securely and it can ride like that and I come back to it. I’ll fully seat it again when it’s no longer needed for a bit.
DCA if you hear one thing, a slightly larger model would be a dream! Add an inch to the blade, and increase the grip by 15-20% and I’d buy another in a heartbeat. All in all, super happy!
Hey DCA, massive congratulations! I like all your knives but these Tangos really speak my language
Congratulations DCA. That's awesome. Cool blades.
I can't edc a fixed blade here in Spain but I can admire the design quality behind these models. Nice job.
That's sad and shocking to hear. Even in California you can EDC a fixed blade as long as it's not concealed.
Right on, DCA! I really like following the growth of individuals in various communities and this is really cool.
cheers from north italy Dave! proud of you, great looking knives
Congratulations on the release! Really enjoyed this video on its background!
Already have my sheepsfoot pocket tango, red micarta handle. Love the design and blade steel, super sharp, feels great in hand, and fits well in the pocket. Great sheath too. Best of all, designed by DCA and made by MKM.
Just saw my shipping notification email! So Excited!!! Hope it's wicked successful for you DCA.
I really ❤ the way they turned out. Congrats 🎉
I’ve got the nessmuk with green micarta coming. Can’t wait! Great design, DCA!
I miss Igor. He’s great.
Thanks man and don't worry, I am working on new projects so
.. stay tuned 😉
Great stuff for sure DCA💪🏻 Been rocking the tpf defense for a few months and could not be happier. Really looking forward to adding a tango or 2 to the rotation 💥
Great design, beautiful simple clean!
Beautiful design - nice job!
Thanks, P.
Congratulations, DCA! I love your videos!
Man I love that olive wood ness!!!! Awesome job!
Looks great! Putting on the wishlist for sure. congratulations!
My preorder shipped right away today! I got the carbon fiber Nessmuk and I am so very excited to put my hands on it! Congrats to you and thank you for the amazing content and guidance these last few years!
Very cool. Great looking knives
How cute, and the knife really nice 😊
I like the design! That muk blade looks awesome!
DCA . Thank you very nice knife . You should be proud .
Wow these designs are awesome, David! Cannot wait to order one of those fancy brown micarta nessmuks. Great value and great materials.
Proud of you guys with this design very cool
Well done! Awesome fixed blade
Fantastic Design.... Can't wait to order mine when my next paycheck hits. Very happy for you and the knife community that will benefit from your dedication and love to knives. Great knife Brother
Congratulations my fellow Anderson. great work!!!
Had the nessmuk in olive wood on pre order! Just got shipment confirmation! So excited!
Love the design! I think my favorite is the olive wood handle with the nessmuk blade.
I love em! want a tanto version as well🙏🏽
Congratulations!
Wishing you great success, David! Pocket fixies are one of the genres I don't like to carry, so I can't unfortunately support you directly, but I love that lambsfoot design.
This looks like exactly what I've been waiting for. Small thin slicy fixed blade in properly hardened magnacut with that spear point kind of curved shape
Great job DCA I'm so happy for you man, I've been watching you for years now and this is totally you in a fixed blade, a nesmuck and a REVERSE TANTO 😂 they look awesome and at a great price.
Looking forward to grabbing one of these.
Loving that little nessmuk! Good stuff!
Well done!
They look very interesting. Hope they come to Sweden too
Dude! You couldn't have picked a better brand to Collab with. They hit the fine details so well
I have yet to see an Italian knife maker that doesn't make a quality product.
Well done, DCA!
I purchased one of the modified sheepsfoot version of this knife as soon as you guys had them in stock and I love it. The knife is a tactile pleasure and I'm amazed how well this smaller knife fits in my larger hands. My other fixed blade daily pocket knife is a Bradford Guardian 3 which is a larger feeling knife than this (at least with the 3d handle scales that I have), so having a lower profile version is nice! Not super into the sheath on this one myself as the magnet doesn't seem to hold to my pocket too well when drawing the knife with one hand, but the leather may loosen up a bit with time. I do love how the magnet "sucks" the knife into the sheath though when re-sheathing and helps retain the blade with confidence. Wish I could get my hands on a Skipjack but they seem to have been out of stock for a bit. Love the knife, keep up the good work!
Sweeter than yoo hoo! Congrats dude,
Cheers!!❤
I love those pocket sheaths 100%, that is definately the epitome of "Building a better mouse trap" in my humble opinion.
The Muk in CF looks beautiful. I need this save up for this. DCA, you must be floating in air to see your design come to life like this! How wonderful!!
Congrat DCA. Already placed my order. Just for you I got the nessmuk.
Really two ideal designs. I’ve only recently started with pocket carry fixies - essentially knock designs being carried or clipped into place. This leather and magnet combo are super appealing and can likely work well too with IWB or similar options with elastic waistbands, etc. Very well done.
Greatissimo !!!
been carrying my nessmuk since friday last week. I LOVE IT
thank you for the amazing design! (green micarta)
Cool! I have been thinking about trying an edc fixed blade. This is exactly what I was looking for! I just ordered one moments ago. I was going to try to keep it within $100, but for you I'll expand my budget. Can't wait. Thanks!
beautiful knife dude!
Why not call the Reverse Tanto Version "Pocket Tango Thomas"?
Would make more sense too... after all in a tanto blade, the edge after the bent is sharp, which is never the case in blades called "reverse tanto"
really cool
That sucks that Igor is not with MKM anymore but I hope he is on to better things. Congrats on the new knife design.
Thanks man, stay tuned cause I'm working on very exciting new projects 😉
@@The_last_inch you're Igor?
@@mugsofmirth8101 I am
Congratulation! Very nice design! Not cheap but nice. I always wanted to buy myself a AK1 but they're also quite expensive. This one can join the same shortlist, good vibes.
Damn if that isn’t a good looking knife! I love both of the blade shapes, might have to get one of each.
The reverse tanto version looks great but I went with the nessie/burlap option. Cool
OH YEAH !
WELL DONE 👏
You deserve to have your own brand ! Thank you am looking forward to one.
Peace James
He does have his own brand, NordSmith.
Congrats DCA 🎉 and good luck to Igor and his next endeavor!
I want MKM to make a modern take on a traditional stiletto switchblade.
I like the design, especially the Nesmuck. A decent HRC as well.
Very well done. Great design, I especially like the Nesmuk. Are there any plans for a slightly larger version, without the swedge and maybe full length jimping on the spine?
That reverse tanto in olive wood is 🔥
Hey DCA, is there such thing as a fixed blade with a spey blade? If not, maybe the tango 2? Just a thought. Love the videos, thanks.
Congrats on the move to a production knife, have one winging it's way to me now actually ;-) and sorry to hear about Igor, hopefully it was a move that he will enjoy and be better off
Make that Nessmuk into a folder with similar dimensions and I would definitely be interested. Any possibility of that happening David?
Just got my Pocket Tango today and love the feel and sharpness out of the box, my only complaint with the knife at this price point is the gaps where the olive wood handles meet the knife tang (which will allow debris/germs/etc, to get under the scales). Regarding the sheath, I do NOT like the magnets. Can you recommend a suitable substitute I can purchase, or can MKM make another identical sheath available for purchase as an accessory WITHOUT the magnet 🧲?
Nessmuk with Olive wood for me! been waiting on this baby since Jan 2024
Great job on your design David C! I'll definitely be picking up one of those with the nessmuk blade. I can't order right now because I'm heading on a trip soon. It would be sitting outside all alone all by itself for some time. 😢
I like the reverse tanto version
Love the reverse tanto version, DCA. Thomas talk you into that? :P
But seriously, these look terrific. The nesmuk is going to be my next knife purchase.
Hey, DCA, finally! CONGRATS
In my industry, there’s a term - Use Case. It describes a set of an end users’ needs and functions that summarises the utility of a product, which designer sets out to accomplish when developing a product. Question: what is the use case for a pocket fixed blade in general and how does this specific knife accomplishes it better than others? You described some of its features very well, yet outlining the use case first would help a buyer understand WHY do they need one and HOW this specific pocket fixed blade accomplishes it better. Maybe it’s a good topic for the FAQ video?
I have 2 MKM knives and they're both the same model, but with different meterials. It's the MKM Isonzo clip point blade. I have the Blade HQ Marbled carbon Fiber and m390 model, and I have the bronzed titanium m390 model. I keep the ti model put up with a cool Bronze Roman Soldier helmet lanyard on it that matches perfectly, but I rotate the Marbled Carbon Fiber model in and out with my Chaves TAK. These models look really interesting, may have to pick one up.
I have the lion steel m1 in390 and I love ir
Haha, this reminds me of the time when I used to stick magnet to my pocket knives to magnetize the blade a little bit. To be able to fondle cents, paper clips and things like that out of tight spaces.
First, congrats. This is well deserved. Second, I think both blade shapes are well thought out. Until getting a weatherman free K2, primarily for the tools, I would have never thought of a sheep’s foot/lambs foot/Wharnecliffy style blade as a daily carry. Now it’s all I carry. I can see one of the migrants handled working blades in my future. Nicely done
DCA’s Zoolander pose is called ‘Magma Cut’.
Great design, great work!
Please make a lambs foot version with stonewashed blade and brown canvas micarta! I have your pyrite alt exclusive in that configuration and it's *chef's kiss* good
Nice 0:15 . Is it going to be available in England?
Although a really disappointing sales pitch.
I have mine since today (the muk) :)
Going forward.
Any chance of a clip point in the future?
Igor had to go back to the Discworld?😂 JK. Igor seems like a great guy and very knowledgeable, but working on a cool knife with a designer/maker named Igor just makes it all more epic.
Could you take more shots of the knife in your hand using different grips? The blade styles are cool but if the handle doesn’t fit your hand well I’m not going to end up carrying it. Thank you!
D.C.A. I love you like family !!
Have whatched you from the begging!!
You were first in your field to not annoy me :( sorry
I ve since changed and grown to be different than then.
And I have whatched you grow!!
As a salesman;)
A knife maker and Designer!!
And as a moral support/ asmr sleep
Rock on Man!!!
I wish Anthony Bourdain was still around!
You 2 would be unwprldly!!!
A question about the steel: they used to say that an edge that lasts a long time will take just as long to sharpen. Is it hard to touch up the edge?
