I feel like the 15mph motor is just so you can get to the end of your street before you fire up your cold start and piss off the wife that's still sleeping! Genius!

Looks like you and the kids had fun. I too am waiting for My E-ray. I saw the vid with HPO. I always get on him because he loves that z06. No doubt its awsome but to E-ray is top dog.. once it comes out and until the zr1. You cant just go by the numbers, but even that the E-ray will beat it past the 1/4mi (race track who knows, it might be very close depending on the track).. Even in the Hagerty video they said it was a pian in the butt and took many attempts to launch the z06 right. Many people dont take that into an account. I have seen Z06 hit mid 11s in the 1/4 at the track. lol Consistency is huge and that AWD means something. I cant wait to see what mods you do with it. I would like to stick with the easy and basic. I'm still looking at maybe just doing a hi-flo cats. way later I might do more when and if it seems solid. We shall see.. now its just wait wait wait and hope the strike ends soon..

is there a mode where the engine can stay on the entire time like if you want to race ?
I think that's pretty much all of the modes. The front axle/battery system is entirely separate of the rear power train. It's the first "through the road" hybrid on sale, to my knowledge.

I know one of the office people fairly high up at GM and they heard that they didn’t bring any carbon- flash trimming because PA is sketch and the knew people would steal it, although this may not be true.

I hate the fact that color looks like primer gray. The new crapwith flat pain. Also wheels that look dirty.. all the time. Flat paint on wheels the dirt loves them. Electric??? Really even corvette? JOE CAN KEEP THE ELECTRIC CARS
The difference is the extra weight of the car that reduces performance and fuel economy!!! Stupid idea!!!
The weight is under 300 lbs more. Meanwhile your getting 160 hp to get 15hp diffidence from the z06 BUT you will get 120lbs of extra TQ you are NOT getting in a z06. All the instant Tq on top of the AWD will beat the Z06 all the way up to the 1/4 and a little more depending how bad the z06 launch is.. As for MPG the E-ray because its a hybrid will get better gas mileage. They have not released the #s but said its around a regular c8. Which means its better then the z06 and also no 2-3K gas tax added to the car.
@@joem7755 WRONG. Get your facts straight. Adds 310+ pounds and NO increase in MPG. Eray was a terrible. idea. Overweight, overcomplicated, and overpriced.
The Riptide Blue is the best color, but the black trim and side intakes look like tacked on garbage. Go with yellow calipers and silver wheels, cuz black and red accents looks terrible, especially on Riptide. Didn't realize you were filming, or I wouldn't have interrupted you. But, nice t-shirt plug. Was shocked to hear you tell Harlan you were planning to add AWD to your C8. Kinda hard to believe, but no need now. He definitely was turned off when you said you modify Corvettes for a living LOL
