Great video Advanced Knife Bro. Idk if Thamar Bahadur still makes Khukris for HI, but he specialized in traditional style curved spine Khukri, from WW1 era. I have one of his Dui Chirra models and it's so gorgeous and awesome. I have a WW2 model done by Lachhu that's a great kindling splitter but it's a half an inch thick at the spine, 18.5" overall, 2+ pounds and not balanced like the Dui Chirra, which is 5/16" thick, appox 19.5" overall, and around 24ozs. Ironically I still prefer the KLO I made out of an old rusty, weathered chainsaw bar and some native hardwood for the handle with a traditional tapered stick tang locked into place via a washer and a halfass peen job and wood glue. it's holding strong after a few years of heavy use. maybe someday when my blacksmithing skills are better, I'll send you one that supersedes the one I have right now, which is rough around the edges, but a badass faithful trusty tool for sure.

1. Great review, as always. 2. Some years ago I got a Kukri from the Kukri House, a Nepalese firm started by a retired Gurkha, and after waiting literally three months for it to clear customs, I got it and emailed them to ask about that little design in the blade. You ever wonder how your daughter will tell of her fond childhood memories to her children? “Not sure why kids, but when I was a little girl, your grandpa chopped a lot of firewood out in the yard. Sure, we had centralized heat inside the house and the wood was mostly burned in the outdoor stove...hmm, perhaps he was trying to keep the birds warm year-round. Anyway, our neighbors always watched from the corners of their windows but never offered to lend a hand. They must have been lazy.” -Great video as usual, though I do feel punished not having those blue lines. I mean, I had to guess where the tallest parts were. Though with all the training over the years from your other videos I might have guessed right.”

I'm in tears here.
9:10 "Let's hack through that nasty knot. That'll sort the bastards out!"
Needs a little help from Mr. Baton
They must have been lazy.”
-Great video as usual, though I do feel punished not having those blue lines. I mean, I had to guess where the tallest parts were. Though with all the training over the years from your other videos I might have guessed right.”
Hopefully at that point in the future UA-cam has been taken offline.
I much prefer the more traditional long blade. The Buffalo handle is a nice touch. I am a traditionalist though (
I like wooden... but that crude tang just digs into my hand
This man is a legend. Thanks for the laughs.
i need blue line!!!!!
But you were on the naughty list!
Let's keep the tradition rolling: my Christmas wish this year is for you to baton through this year's tree at least 4 times using two kukris; alternating both as the blade and the baton. I'm a simple man, with simple wishes. Also, I'll probably get cancer if you DON'T, so there's that. Really bad cancer. Mele Kalikimaka!!
