    1. Great review, as always.
    2. Some years ago I got a Kukri from the Kukri House, a Nepalese firm started by a retired Gurkha, and after waiting literally three months for it to clear customs, I got it and emailed them to ask about that little design in the blade. Paraphrasing, they told me that it was first just a traditional Nepalese symbol, and second, it was for blood to drip off of so that it wouldn't flow down the handle. The second makes sense, since traditionally people tended to slaughter and clean their own animals for food.
    3. Of course you need six kukris. You're a man's man. Hell, it's well established that a real man needs a minimum of seven plungers: ua-cam.com/video/usm7uLCfxdo/v-deo.html
    4. Merry Christmas & all that jazz.

I think the commentary in the last four minutes is the best part of the video, the way he goes into the historical significance of the kukri as well as the different spellings of kukhuri versus kukri really were quite enlightening and well-researched. Not sure why it took a political spin in the last two minutes of the video, wasn't really expecting a frank discussion on Nepalese governmental practices when I clicked this video, but I am now fully woke on the subject.

Great video Advanced Knife Bro. Idk if Thamar Bahadur still makes Khukris for HI, but he specialized in traditional style curved spine Khukri, from WW1 era. I have one of his Dui Chirra models and it's so gorgeous and awesome. I have a WW2 model done by Lachhu that's a great kindling splitter but it's a half an inch thick at the spine, 18.5" overall, 2+ pounds and not balanced like the Dui Chirra, which is 5/16" thick, appox 19.5" overall, and around 24ozs. Ironically I still prefer the KLO I made out of an old rusty, weathered chainsaw bar and some native hardwood for the handle with a traditional tapered stick tang locked into place via a washer and a halfass peen job and wood glue. it's holding strong after a few years of heavy use. maybe someday when my blacksmithing skills are better, I'll send you one that supersedes the one I have right now, which is rough around the edges, but a badass faithful trusty tool for sure.

Merry Christmas! As a machete-lover, I would recommend that you not use the CS Kukri to represent kukri-style machetes. It carries the name, but the shape just isn't there. That deep belly is more like a Thai E-nep, except it has a drop point instead of a straight spine. It's no joke, mind you - it chops WAY outside its weight class, which is why I hike and camp with it, but the CS Royal Kukri Machete is a much better facsimile of a kukri.

Yeah that cold steel is nice- but out of my budget right now. Yeah this CS Kukri Machete is cheap... but I more got it to contrast between the real deals- since this is most likely a top search result for a “Kukri”

I'm just sitting here typing suggestions, which is WAY more budget friendly than making UA-cam videos.

You ever wonder how your daughter will tell of her fond childhood memories to her children? “Not sure why kids, but when I was a little girl, your grandpa chopped a lot of firewood out in the yard. Sure, we had centralized heat inside the house and the wood was mostly burned in the outdoor stove...hmm, perhaps he was trying to keep the birds warm year-round. Anyway, our neighbors always watched from the corners of their windows but never offered to lend a hand. They must have been lazy.”
-Great video as usual, though I do feel punished not having those blue lines. I mean, I had to guess where the tallest parts were. Though with all the training over the years from your other videos I might have guessed right.”

Hopefully at that point in the future UA-cam has been taken offline.

So how does cold steel machete kukri plus compare? Also, great review!

Looks like adds a finger guard... but seems very similar to the one seen in the video.

I still think Tora Blades makes the best kukuris you can get. The balance and sizes are historically accurate not to mention the quality control is pretty insane.

I just ordered a Kailash a few days ago. One day I'll look into Toras, but Kaliash has a whole range of options, and you can work with them on grinds, and thickness.
I ordered this with a "performance" grind

I don’t remember if I commented here. Not here. This is this comment. Not that comment. If that one existed. All I remember is that this is this comment.
Now that this is settled, what was I going to comment again?
Oh, yeah. Awesome kukri video and thanks for making it. (Maybe this bit makes it under the read more banner). Now that I think about it this would have been the subject of that comment too. If that comment is there. Which it probably isn’t. Better twice than once. A cardinal rule of kukris. And batoning. And that’s what she said.
