Dear Nayef, many congratulations to you again for posting this very crisp and clear studio recording, much better quality than other UA-cam versions! Your work here is appreciated!
NayefMusic Yes Dear, I do enjoy what you post very much, not just El Sett. Do you have the studio version of Araka Asiya Al-Dam 1964 without any radio presenter talking over the end? The only studio version on UA-cam, or any other site I have seen, has been taken from the radio and is spoilt by the radio presenter talking over the last ten seconds or so. I hope you or someone else can post the actual studio version which was issued on record or tape. I copy here a message I put on UA-cam a while back and I wonder whether you have any of these studio versions of El Sett. If so, please post!!!! Studio versions urgently required to be posted on UA-cam:- 1. Ya Zalimni 1950 2. Jaddidta Hubbak Leeh 1952 3. Dalili Ahtar 1955 4. Zekrayat 1955 5. Agharu Min Nasmet Il-Janub 1957 6. 'Awwidt 'Ayni 1957 7. Aruh Li-Min 1958 8. Qissat Al-Ams 1958 9. Il-Hubb Kedah 1959 10. Hajartak 1959 11. Huwah Sahih 1960 12. Lissah Fakir 1960 13. Hayyart Qalbi Ma'ak 1961 Almost all of the studio versions of other pieces of El Sett from 1961 through to the end of her recording careeer in 1973 are available on UA-cam and elsewhere, although some take a bit of finding to track down. There are a fair number of studio versions of pre-1950 pieces also 'missing' i.e. not readily available on UA-cam or other public forums e.g. Ana Fi Intizarak; Ahl Il-Hawa; Al Ahat. However, I have to date been unable to source studio versions of the above well-known pieces. I am certain that a number of these are available somewhere and I encourage anyone who has any of these to post them on UA-cam and bring these rare pieces back to life for a new generation to enjoy. I appreciate some of these studio versions may now be lost and if anyone knows for sure whether this is the case then please leave me a message.
