The conversations with McGill Alexander and Les Rudman are in my opinion the finest, with any of the former top command to date. Candid, professional (ultra) and informative. Stuff for a book! The story about the mossies and Joan Abrahams was incredibly touching and unique. What an exceptional individual! Airborne soldiers certainly look the elite force they are in the photographs.

I was at Lohatla in 1989 and when they informed is about the SWAPO incursion myself and my buddy volunteered for deployment to SWA but the guys up there done a great job and we were never taken to the border .
