    I was diagnosed at 48. It was a relief. Growing up people do treat you like you just have a bad attitude and you're a bad kid and you are trying and trying. Girls are severely under diagnosed.

    It’s ADD not ADHD not the same thing

      Nowadays, according to DSM, both fall under ADHD. For example, I have old ADD and my daughter (recently diagnosed) also has ADD and my son also has ADD. They have now both been diagnosed with ADHD.

      How is it not the same thing? How many points of deviation would it make it any different? Are you making this statement for the sake of argument? Maybe someone should correct their attitude and make a useful comment regarding mental health. Btw, the smiley face after a comment like that is highly sarcastic. Next time don’t.
