Frank Marino is my favorite guitarist, and he is very intelligent, humble and down to earth guy. Very underrated guitarist. He had to retire from playing shows, but he is still active and has been making his own signature guitar pedals. Thank you for your posting your reaction video.
Frank Marino is one of my all-time favorite guitarists, and his name is always the first one I think of when the subject of "underrated guitarists" comes up. This entire DVD is absolute fire. We are so lucky he was able to get that out while he still had his health. Hope he's doing well. He seems like a good dude, from everything I've seen.
Thank you HarriBest! Frank always one of my all-time favorites since early 70s. Met him backstage early 90s, basically a very humble and approachable man. Always made time for his fans.
Thank Harri for reacting to Frank.I started to listening to him in the mid '70's,and he is the best I have heard. This concert was a great one for sure. There is a cool story by Frank of how this DVD set came about.Frank spent countless hours re-making the audio in his studio, due to the master recording being destroyed in the fire in LA,that destroyed other music and movie recordings. The story shows what a genious Frank is.Check more out from this concert, ike It's Begun To Rain, the Answer and Strange Dreams. You will see and hear Frank at his best.Cheers Harri.
Frank Marino is one excellent guitarist. This entire concert "Live At The Agora Theatre" has some of the best sound for a live recordings I have ever heard. Love this pick Louis. Thanks man!!👍👍👍
This particular version is taken from his DVD: FRANK MARINO - Live At The Agora Theatre, Release date August 4/19. This is a monumental package consisting of one immaculate Blu Ray disc and three regular DVDs both containing the same six hour (!) concert held at Cleveland's Agora Theatre. That's right, a SIX hour concert in 3 parts. While many music industry writers may not have given him his props, here are some comments from other guitarists: Frank Marino is a real good player. I enjoyed his music. Johnny Winter Pure shredding, Pure tone, and Pure inspiration, Pure Frank Marino. Zakk Wylde He set the groundwork for guys like me to have a successful career. If it wasn't for Frank Marino I wouldn't have a career. Joe Bonamassa Frank is a very powerful performer and was an inspiration to me at a very critical time in my musical evolution. Steve Vai
Frank Marino is a Canadian gem. Hopefully he can overcome his hand issue and spread the joy of music once again. His live album from 1978 is awesome. Same goes for fellow Canadian Pat Travers and his live Go For What You Know album from 1979.
And Harri dove right-in! Brilliant and under-rated guitarist. Last time I saw him was at the CD Release Party (Eye of the storm) in 2001 at Le Petit Café, a very small bar in Montreal (local boy!) He put-on a two and a half hours long FREE show for about 60 people. Watching from ten feet away was almost surreal. Part of that concert is available on YT. PS - Not the one filming but the guy's camcorder was on my table.
Frank is my favorite Rock guitar player. He’s the best I’ve ever seen. I was lucky to see him play for 2 1/2 hours straight ( around 1980). This is a 2019 live recording. You need to check his album “The Power of Rock and Roll.” In particular “Ain’t Dead Yet.” That’s when he was at his very best.
I saw Frank and Mahogany Rush in 1978 opening for Judas Priest in Norman Oklahoma, been a huge fan of his ever since he is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen, he does a killer rendition of purple haze fun highlight of the concert was when the bass player, in full outlaw gambler outfit, pulled his pistol out of his holster and "shot" Frank's guitar, that he had laid on tha stage while it was still reverberating through the arena
@@davidyerkey7425 yeah, saw lots of great concerts at Lloyd Noble In the '70s &'80s, Allman Brothers, w Eddie Money, Jethro Tull w Whitesnake, America w Micheal Murphy, the list goes on and on
As great as Frank Marino is, there are other guitarists that would give him a run for his money: Lenny Breau and Jeff Healy, to name two (both are also from Canada).
Probably the Best guitar player I've ever seen!! Been a big fan since the Mahogany Rush days. Never get tired of him. Awesome!!!
One of the MASTERS OF ROCK PERIOD ❤

I caught Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush for the 1975 tour promoting the album Strange Universe. *Stunning* concert performance!!!
My dad was his lawyer back in Montreal during the 70s 😊. He sure played some mean guitar !
He had a great band - "Mahogany Rush" in the 70's - great guiarist. Glad to see you are still doing videos.

Frank was shredding before there was even a word for it!
Saw Mahogany Rush in 77. They played with Nazareth and Black Sabbath. Frank stole the show in our minds.
I saw him open for Nazareth in '76. I was 15 and completely blown away!
Fortunately i got to see him several times over the last 40 years. Truly a master

Frank's guitar playing can be summed up in four words, "Fast, Clean, Tasty and Styled"
