All three cities are in the top 25 of U.S. cities with the highest murder rates. All three cities have bad public school systems. All three cities have high HIV/AIDS rates. All three cities have a high rate of Black poverty. I'm from Louisiana so tell me what in the hell good is having a Black mayor, male or female, doing for Black folks? Identity politics does nothing. And, these Democratic mayors aren't doing shit for Black folks.

Recognizing the humanity of people transcends identity. Having people of different identities in places in power forces the system to address the different needs of all communities.
