- AJ and crew make a special trip to Mattawa, Ontario where they set out on the Voyageur multi-use trail system for a 3-day adventure exploring the rugged Canadian shield landscape and breathtaking boreal forest. Along the way they discover some breathtaking overlook vantage points and stop by a must-see attraction, an old Mica mine where you can traverse deep inside its cavernous corridors.

Mattawa River Resort.. you guys picked the best place to stay!
VMUTS is a Wicked trail system! 🙌
Mattawa is definitely a go to destination for off road enthusiasts of all ages.
Great spot for riding. Growing up in North Bay we rode sleds all over these trails before getting in to quads. The Mica Mine is a great spot, especially late summer when it’s dry.
Good time to go!
Such a great place to ride. I love the hydro line trails, as well as ripping the smoother fire road trails.
Awesome!
Beautiful place
Definitely on my list!!! Thanks dirt track!!
You bet! 🤘
You missed the hydro lines maybe but another great spot to venture to go across country, I rode 90% of those trails when you guys were like 5 yrs old.
I love these videos of great places to go riding!
Flowerstation outside calabogie Ontario has a similar cave system, there’s also a lookout behind the ski hill that you can climb up, not allowed to ride up though. Lots of great trails around here too.
Where was my invite?? Lol. Looks like great place to ride.
Nice video keep up the good work fellas
Thanks!! 👍
Great video. I place I want to visit.
I use to crush Mica in Custer S.D - they paid like crap but it was neat to learn.
I would LOVE to visit!
I have watched your videos for a while now and I have always been curious about something, is there a helmet law in Canada for you to have to wear one while driving something with a roll rage and seatbelts?
You do not need a helmet if you have a rollcage/seatbelt in Manitoba, Canada at least.
yeah the other guys is wrong, you absolutely DO need a helmet on an atv or in a sxs with roll cages and seat belts, just like you need a helmet on a motorcycle. many dont wear them, but it is against the law not to and you can be fined
As for Ontario, which as of fairly recently has changed to opt-in legislation for municipalities, does not have anything in the legislation regarding wearing helmets for sxs”s. If you have a windshield and a roof on your sxs you technically do not need to wear a helmet as per a local OPP sergeant I spoke with. I have been stopped several times while driving down the side of the road with no helmet and the OPP officers do not ticket me for not wearing a helmet, they only check for insurance and valid license as mandated by law. On an ATV you have to wear a helmet at all times.
Love the cf motos. Mines are really cool to see especially on the trails, if you like mines you should check out the mine on bell island in St Johns Newfoundland it’s amazing
That would be amazing.
Never been, but can you ride like adventure bikes in these trails? Are they too extreme or are there guys doing it?
I want to check out this trail system this fall. I am from New York and I cannot register my Utv and get a license plate due to NY laws saying a ORV has to weigh less than 999lbs to register and be plated.
But I cannot purchase a trail permit in Ontario without a license plate, so do I have to register for a plate in Ontario before I go and get my OFATV pass? Or how does that work from somebody bringing their own Utv from out of country?
Man, that's a lot of technical questions and I just don't have the info for you. I suggest contacting the OFATV and asking these questions about Ontario. I'm sure someone can help you. NY State has some strange rules for getting trail passes on snowmobiles too if you're from out of state. Not sure why they make it so difficult for powersports enthusiasts. That said, the snowmobile trails are incredible and I bet the off-road trails are equally good. Hope you get the answers you're looking for.
Dis you use quadon for the gps on that trail? If not what one did you use?
What happened to the MBRP exhaust on the RZR?
Can you camp on the trails ?
At 2:06 you show that you are riding on Hiway 17 / Trans Canada Hiway and going thru the roundabout. Not legal. You can ride everywhere else but not on the hiway. Cross at 90 degrees only. The OPP will fine you for that.
All depends on By-Laws actually. It is federally illegal, but municipal laws trump federal laws.
There is no by-law in Mattawa that allows it
What happened to the MBRP exhaust on the RZR?
@Hans_P oh okay, your a local? Seems like the police just let it slide due to the culture in the area.
Can you list the music used in the video?
Ride height looks awfully low on that R
That big racing machine just doesn't suit the trails like that CFMoto does.
Yeah, the CFMOTO was right at home there.
