When it comes to diamond clarity, the VS1 and VS2 grades are the most well loved and popular grades among consumers. VS stands for very slightly included. On the GIA clarity scale, the VS1 and VS2 are right in the middle of it and they usually consists of minute inclusions that are invisible to the unaided eye.
In this video comparison, we review 2 solitaire diamond rings with VS1 and VS2 center stones to show you what they look like in real life. When placed side by side, both diamond rings are worn on the finger and subjected to examination under different forms of lighting.
The most common question I get asked about VS1 vs VS2 grades are whether there are visual differences between them. In 99% of the cases, there aren’t if we are speaking strictly about clarity issues.
When the diamond is mounted on a setting and has good light performance, the sparkle and size of the diamonds more than compensate for the visibility of the inclusions. Unless you are extremely acute with your eyes, you are not likely to notice any inclusions in these grades.
Also, the sparkle and brilliance generated by the diamonds in this video review are not a result of clarity but cut quality. So, watch the comparison between these 2 engagement rings and see if you can spot any inclusions in both rings.
When it comes to buying diamonds both VS1 and VS2 grades are highly recommended for shoppers who want to get a bigger bang for buck. As long as you make your selections using tangible data like videos, you will be able to find eyeclean diamonds easily without having to buy higher clarity diamonds.
Now I want to hear your thoughts. What do you think about the VS1 vs VS2 clarity grades? Can you see any visual differences between them when the rings are worn on the finger? Would you buy a VS diamond? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Great content! Just wanted your opinion on something, I hope you reply. What's your opinion on Kevin jewelers? I recently purchased a vs1 color f half carat engagement ring from them. Unfortunately I did my research too late and found James Allen after. Kevin's doesn't offer refunds. So do you think I should stick with the ring from Kevin's? Are their diamonds bad, ok, good? Please any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have no experience with the jeweler and never heard of them. Who graded the diamond? If it wasn't GIA or AGS, then you likely got ripped off.
