d.o smooth, adlibs, riff and run baek clear, vocal technique, highnote chen strong, range, highnote and become harmonic when they sing together its always amazed me🤍🤍
Just a gentle reminder that this is not yet their 100% vocal power. EXO still has Suho and Xiumin as their active lead vocals. Suho's theatrical voice and Xiumin's soft and calming voice with very high and powerful falsetto complete their vocal line. They also have Chanyeol and Lay which are very passionate when it comes to singing. Kai and Sehun also starts to sing great nowadays. If you enjoy vocal performances, you should definitely stan EXO.
In my opinion, no other group can beat EXO when it comes to vocals. The vocal trinity of Baekhyun, Chen and D.O can't be beat! Chen's high notes, Baekhyun's range and D.O's tone and control is amazing. That's a powerhouse trio 👊
Chenbaeksoo is just to much for other groups to handle tbh, my advice for the next upcoming groups and groups rn, if you want to be a better vocal line than exo's, pray fking hard bois cuz its gonna be an impossible task to accomplish 😂😂😂🤘🤘
For me ONLY super junior kry can beat exo in terms of vocals, that’s a FACT, for me in this generation, only btob can at least challenge exos vocal line but still not enough to beat exos vocal line as a whole, also I have a feeling that vromance and voisper can challenge us for the strongest vocal line in this generation title since all four of them can sing, their like the boy version of mamamoo that’s why

My standard when it comes to K-Pop groups is pretty high but EXO actually exceeded the standards I was looking for. I don't really care much about the visuals, I only care about the talents and since EXO is packed with great talents AND visuals, I never looked at other groups anymore. It is actually the diversity that makes EXO on top, they are not all about high notes, Kyungsoo is the only Idol I know who is good at Runs, most of idols use vibratto

Finally more clips of D.O. Kyungsoo was in charge of the high notes during debut days because his vocals were the most stable. And if you really look closely during debut days and during the time they did the radio show sukira, exo was really counting on Kyungsoo at that time. Wish they could actually bring a little more of that back because a lot of people are underestimating Kyungsoo's vocals now saying all he does are runs and adlibs especially since he is practically at the back for the most of their choreography.
Yes, I agree. And remember that MAMA awards that SM let D.O sing Tell Me What Is Love on his own (B & C joined in in the end to complement the backup vocals). Also, people tend to ignore the fact that apart from his main lines, their musical producer/director assigned most adlibs and runs to D.O which proves that D.O has the best and most stable vocals among them especially live due to his excellent vocal agility. It is not all about high ranges, it is about reaching your highest range effectively and effortlessly. D.O doesn't sound over the top (Chen tends to be sometimes though with vocal stability) and doesn't sound struggling shifting to & from his falsetto (evident with Baek esp live). But the best thing is that all three are in EXO and because of their vocal capability and texture a certain genre fit each of our vocalists including Suho (Jazz/Musical), Chen (Ballad/also Rock), Baek (Pop), D.O (RnB). No musical genre is inferior to another. All of them can sing any genre, but their vocal texture best fit one. And for some reason their personality is very related to that genre their vocal texture fit to perfectly. D.O is chill and relaxed (RnB), Suho has classic elegance (Jazz), Baek is playful with youthful exuberance (Pop) and Chen exudes sincerity & romance (Ballad).
Mate Mate I searched Sandeul (since Im not a big fan of B1A4 just heard some of their songs, and know they have a good rapper too) and what surprised me is that actually his technique and chen's are really similar, he has a good control that's true, I like how stable his head voice is, but his highest note (that he has sang, not sure if it's the highest and why he woldn't have proformed his whole range) is B4 while chen rules de fith octave (wich is a woman's register), so he is slightly better in my opinion, I should study both of their technique tho, not only singing high notes can define how good you are, as for me chen es a really good vocalist (and he does have a pretty falsetto, when you say it like that if as he is bad, but yeah baekhyun and kyungsoo are reaaally smooth and their voices are more ballad o pop style, chen is more rock so he doesn't sound as sweet as them) but not sure if he is better than kyungsoo, since kyungsoo is reaally smooth, but again, different styles can't be compared (I love both of their voices and can't put one over another cause can't), Exo has really good vocalist, and in those terms they are the more complete in 3rd generation, other groups have really promising vocalists but exo is in another level (in 3rd generation again, we still have shinee and super junior so yeah, SM rules vocally)

Chen - Head tone/ half-chest tone / most unique tone among the 3 / suitable in Ballad Beakhyun - Belting / natural voice sustain / Stable in belting notes and falsetto / suitable in Pop songs Kyungsoo - Chest tone / unique tone especially in lower registers / stable in belting notes / RIFFS FOR DAYS!!! / more suitable in R&B all 3 combined becomes an unstoppable force, god SM and the whole KPOP Industry is so lucky to have these plus the rest of the EXO members who can ALL SING decently and doesn't rely on backtracks

True.. The exo vocal compilations always don't do Kyungsoo justice...I start to like EXO after I saw those videos and found the vocal line is that amazing. Like in What is love, the video only featured the last part of insane high notes of Baekhyun. Then I went search the song and I found omg Kyungsoo voice is so soulful! While D.O is known as the Acting Genuis, King of foreign song covers, R&B King of EXO, and a multi-awarded actor. When it comes to vocal EXO has got it all.Even their rappers and dancers are decently good vocalists. They have the most diverse musical genre discography in KPOP.
You're totally right. Just taking a look at Goodbye Christmas by Lay, Curtain by Suho and You by Xiumin (and MANY MANY MANY more) makes me doubt about how many EXO members should be in the vocal line besides CBK 💕
all three are GREAT belters but there is something about DO. voice that makes my heart fluttering and shaking everytime I listen to him belting the notes. People always forgot that DO could belt really well since all people talk about him is his agility in riffs and runs. But in fact, he is a WHOLE package of vocalist. It's rare to find someone in KPOP Idol who has a great tone, natural vibrato, great agility, nice breath control, and could produce a wholesome resonance in a whole packet of a person. Let alone handsome face, good acting skill, great dancer, and hilarious in variety show as well. Wow. This guy is just perfect

1. Chen is exceptional high vocal standards his falsetto high pitch was incredible, 2. D.O , vocal range power runs & riffs was amazing and unpoint for pronunciate wordings, 3. Baekhyun, also outstanding vocals dynamic and power vocals ..

If you look the strongest vocal then chen is bit stronger than eunkwang, if you compare 3 main in exo with vocal line in btob then once again exo would be stronger. But if you look all the vocals or whole band then i would say they are either really close or maybe even btob but stronger. What i mean by this is if you take each one of them grade them by their vocal abilities and then did average of it.

honestly, chen to me is one of the best vocalists that we'll ever see in kpop. the richness of his voice is so soulful and although he isn't necessarily the most versatile in that he prefers singing ballads over anything, he has proven that his voice fits well in exo's varied discography and that he has incredible range and tonal flavor. like idk he's just so good

I've always loved Kyungsoo's voice. His runs, tone, and control is just insane.
Finally more clips of D.O. Kyungsoo was in charge of the high notes during debut days because his vocals were the most stable. And if you really look closely during debut days and during the time they did the radio show sukira, exo was really counting on Kyungsoo at that time. Wish they could actually bring a little more of that back because a lot of people are underestimating Kyungsoo's vocals now saying all he does are runs and adlibs especially since he is practically at the back for the most of their choreography.
Yes, I agree. And remember that MAMA awards that SM let D.O sing Tell Me What Is Love on his own (B & C joined in in the end to complement the backup vocals). Also, people tend to ignore the fact that apart from his main lines, their musical producer/director assigned most adlibs and runs to D.O which proves that D.O has the best and most stable vocals among them especially live due to his excellent vocal agility. It is not all about high ranges, it is about reaching your highest range effectively and effortlessly. D.O doesn't sound over the top (Chen tends to be sometimes though with vocal stability) and doesn't sound struggling shifting to & from his falsetto (evident with Baek esp live). But the best thing is that all three are in EXO and because of their vocal capability and texture a certain genre fit each of our vocalists including Suho (Jazz/Musical), Chen (Ballad/also Rock), Baek (Pop), D.O (RnB). No musical genre is inferior to another. All of them can sing any genre, but their vocal texture best fit one. And for some reason their personality is very related to that genre their vocal texture fit to perfectly. D.O is chill and relaxed (RnB), Suho has classic elegance (Jazz), Baek is playful with youthful exuberance (Pop) and Chen exudes sincerity & romance (Ballad).

Mate Mate I searched Sandeul (since Im not a big fan of B1A4 just heard some of their songs, and know they have a good rapper too) and what surprised me is that actually his technique and chen's are really similar, he has a good control that's true, I like how stable his head voice is, but his highest note (that he has sang, not sure if it's the highest and why he woldn't have proformed his whole range) is B4 while chen rules de fith octave (wich is a woman's register), so he is slightly better in my opinion, I should study both of their technique tho, not only singing high notes can define how good you are, as for me chen es a really good vocalist (and he does have a pretty falsetto, when you say it like that if as he is bad, but yeah baekhyun and kyungsoo are reaaally smooth and their voices are more ballad o pop style, chen is more rock so he doesn't sound as sweet as them) but not sure if he is better than kyungsoo, since kyungsoo is reaally smooth, but again, different styles can't be compared (I love both of their voices and can't put one over another cause can't), Exo has really good vocalist, and in those terms they are the more complete in 3rd generation, other groups have really promising vocalists but exo is in another level (in 3rd generation again, we still have shinee and super junior so yeah, SM rules vocally)

all three are GREAT belters but there is something about DO. voice that makes my heart fluttering and shaking everytime I listen to him belting the notes. People always forgot that DO could belt really well since all people talk about him is his agility in riffs and runs. But in fact, he is a WHOLE package of vocalist. It's rare to find someone in KPOP Idol who has a great tone, natural vibrato, great agility, nice breath control, and could produce a wholesome resonance in a whole packet of a person. Let alone handsome face, good acting skill, great dancer, and hilarious in variety show as well. Wow. This guy is just perfect

If you look the strongest vocal then chen is bit stronger than eunkwang, if you compare 3 main in exo with vocal line in btob then once again exo would be stronger. But if you look all the vocals or whole band then i would say they are either really close or maybe even btob but stronger. What i mean by this is if you take each one of them grade them by their vocal abilities and then did average of it.
