    I own the exact same truck and a couple of months ago the passenger side started blowing cold air and no heat. I bought the part online and just installed today. Took me a little over two hours and I only lost one screw. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Now I have heat again and it’s glorious!

    Just wanted to drop in and say thanks. I used your video to replace mine today in my 2013 Lariat. Cost me $40 buck for the part and about 2 hours to do. Ford wanted $900 to do it because they said it would be a 5 hour job!! Thanks again.

    Great video and got my A/C fixed for the Texas Summer. I have a 2014 King Ranch 4x4 and everything you said was spot on. Took me about 2 hours of blood, sweat, and swears. Most of the time was spent trying to detach the back bolt of the blend door. Found that an 8mm ratcheting wrench did the trick coming up through the glove box with one hand and guiding it to the bolt with the other hand going through the screen area.

    Glad I seen this, knew all that never had to go to do this job.
    Thanks for the heads up on the work!!

    Took me a while to find this video for my specific 2014 F150 Fx4 Ecoboost model. Finding this video helped more than others. First time since I bought it last year that all my heat vents work. $22 part and this video (and my daughter’s small arms to get that back screw out. Thanks.

    Thanks - looked a bit intimidating but I followed per your video step by step and 1 hour later, have cold when on cold and hot when on hot - went exceedingly well. My only suggestion would be to disconnect the battery cable as you are playing around with the air bag (not sure if this actually helps but all other videos that play with an air bag suggest it). Thanks again - enjoy.

    Hey! This video helped me tremendously in teplacing my blend door actuator. It took me around three hours and that’s only because I got the wrong part so I had to go out and find one. Wasn’t too bad of a job. It was just harder reinstalling everything. Thanks again for your post. It was very helpful.

  • @jerylchiappetti494

    Thanks. It was actually pretty easy. For the back screw, I used the brute method and ripped it out. Pry up the motor to get the gear out of the hole and give it a twist and yank with channel locks. Remove the back screw and leave it out. Too many parts....

    Really wish you showed the way you took it all out and how you had to battle the space with more lighting, and was it making a clicking noise when trying to switch to say the window defrost to the cabin vents? But thanks for the video

    Mine is making a clicking noise when I select the main front vents, the moment I change it to the floor vents it goes away. I’m not having any problems with hot or cold not working, mine is only when I’m changing the vent location button. Same actuator or a different one?

    • @MakeMoneyTrucking
      @MakeMoneyTrucking  2 роки тому +1

    • @JSKGath
      @JSKGath 2 роки тому +4

      @@MakeMoneyTrucking I found it was the mode door actuator. Replaced it and works great now. it was about a $35 part and took about 15 minutes to install. Definitely helps if you remove the three bolts on the gas pedal and just move that to the side while you’re putting in the new actuator.

    hey I have a question, my 2014 ford f-150 is blowing air as soon as I turn my truck on. The Ac is set at OFF and the light but air is still blowing at like middle speed. I turn the truck off and it turns off. I even turn the ac on and the air get cold or hot and blows at all three setting..... I cant figure out why its blowing air non stop....... need a hand

    • @MakeMoneyTrucking
      @MakeMoneyTrucking  2 роки тому +1

      Could be the electronic switch itself or a faulty blower motor if it is continuously blowing I would replace the switch and then the blower motor. If those don't work the blendor box or flap module could be bad that switches hot to cold

    Any chance you can access the one on the driver side with these steps or would I have to take the center console apart to get to that one?

    • @markw3482

      The one on the driver’s side is above the gas pedal. You can remove the 3 gas pedal bolts and then you have pretty good access

    • @MakeMoneyTrucking

      I wonder if the mechanism that the actuator controls is broken might be a blend door or something deeper in the system that is clicking

    Im right in the middle if the project, so hopefully its the bkend door actuator, and not the mode door actuator, as some have attributed to the clicking noise. A few thoughts, for the less mechanically minded (insert me), is your wording when mentioning the removal of screws. You kept mentioning "loosening" them. So when it came to the airbag, I checked a few places on how to remove it, and it was as you stated except to remove them. Lastly, for now, Im at the point of removing the trim A/C around the screen (even removed the bottom bolts, but it isn't moving not even loose to the touch.where did I go wrong? Did I mention I followed every move, up to this point?
