She's REPAIRING it, not selling it
That would be way too much work to profit from. She would have to gather broken high end make up, take all this time to fix it and then sell for the original price. Not worth it. Selling her labour makes much more sense

What do you mix with powder to get it to stay together?
Funny thing is, nothing! Powder compacts are just that: compacted powder. They put a glass weight on top then use a hydraulic press to literally press the powder into place, and compacting it! It’s been done this way for over a hundred years now :) how cool!

Yes there's no way it would be completely full.
Who said it was used? Could have been new but then damaged? Also the pan is not full to the brim so there is less product

It was cool to watch, but if I was buying this as a gift for someone I know (I don't use makeup and find the mere thought of it to be time-consuming) and they told me several months or years later that they were going to do all of that to fix it, I would tell them to chuck it and buy them a new one, preferably something updated to see what else suits them.
Unless you are profiting somehow or get outrageously high levels of pleasure from this process, that's too much effort for something to color your face for a few hours to then wash off.
