I plant cool season crops about 60 days before the first average frost during the fall. That's usually about October 15th here. I plant a blend of cool season small grains such a cereal rye, wheat, oats, broad-leafed plants such as buckwheat (first frost will kill it), turnips and radishes, and legumes such as annual clovers and peas. - grant
GrowingDeer.tv I am from central Missouri and I like seeing how relatable your rocky grounds are compared to ours to. You are showing me so much. Keep up the good work grant, and the whole growing deer pro staff.
This taught me a lot, is it a complete deal breaker to walk to my tree stand even if it is only about 200 yards from the road? It is difficult to get the atv back that far but it is possible. From where my property is too, the trail would take me the whole way through it.

@growingdeertv What are some of your favorite things to plant to last until the winter? Also what times do you plant them?

Each property has it's unique challenges! If deer aren't conditioned to folks walking/their scent it almost always alerts them.
