Hi Jen. I just wanted to let you know that I'm extremely excited to watch the 40-something videos that you have in this playlist about Preterism and all the other things that you will be sharing.
I do not know if you get comments anymore because this video that I just watched was 2 years old. So I hope you're still getting your comments and if it's okay I'd like to leave comments after each session or after a couple of sessions Etc. Thank you so much for your channel, I've watched about 4 videos so far. I have a big adventure ahead of me I am sure. Have a great day.

The "resurrection of the dead" was completed by 70ad. And the resurrection "out from" the dead, was now a reality in the world. A new day had dawned. It had nothing to do with physical bodies coming out of literal graves (for either group). It had everything to do with the MIND of God. And this is determined by our covenantal relationship with Him. Resurrection had begun with the flesh and bone body of Christ. Which included His soul being raised from hadees. This was the firstfruit. But the entire "body" of Christ (ekklesia), would also be raised by the end of the age. Some see this as the corporate body of Christ. And there is certainly some truth to that. But the disciples did not just join a "group" body. This was not like the "student body" at your local high school. They joined themselves to His flesh and bone body. Having a singular focus on the "assembly" itself, can detract from the "body of His flesh." And some have concluded that our own human "body" gets no benefits from the work of Christ. I see it a little differently. Let's look at what Paul said in Rom.Ch.8. Here is verse 10 in a few different translations......
    American Standard Version
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.
    Berean Study Bible
But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
    New American Standard Bible
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
    Amplified Bible
If Christ lives in you, though your [natural] body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness [which He provides].
    Douay-Rheims Bible
And if Christ be in you, the body indeed is dead, because of sin; but the spirit liveth, because of justification.
    English Revised Version
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.
    International Standard Version
But if the Messiah is in you, your bodies are dead due to sin, but the spirit is alive due to righteousness.
Now I realize that some other translations render Rom.8:10 a little differently. But I believe these harmonize with everything else Paul taught on the subject.
This is not physical death. We are dealing with the sin of Adam. This is the first use of the word "die." Adam died the day he sinned. He was separated from God. This is the worst kind of death. And the only one the bible presents as a real problem for man. Paul actually looked forward to physical death.
The key statement here is... THE BODY IS DEAD BECAUSE OF SIN. This is all you need to know to understand Paul. He tells you what is dead. And he tells you what killed it.
If a "body" is taken to the Medical Examiner's officer, it is not to determine WHAT is dead. That's obvious. THE BODY IS DEAD. It is to determine the exact cause of death. Now this might involve the examination of a gun or a two edged sword. But at no point is there a question about WHAT is dead.
Paul examines "the law" and "the sin" to determine the cause. They were both involved in the crime. You might call them accomplices.
Paul concludes that "the law" was good. It was given to us by God. And the law had not become death to him. But "the sin," which was given to us by satan (and Adam), was actually the culprit. And it was not good. We know it was not good because Paul said NO-THING good dwelled in him. (his flesh). And "the sin" did dwell in him. He said that twice in ch.7. This does not eliminate the "corporate." Whatever was true for one, would be true for the entire body of Christ.
So what does Rom.8:10 really mean? Here is what I believe. Paul was already alive, concerning the inward man.(mind/spirit). But still waiting to be delivered from a body of death, concerning the outward man.(flesh/body). And the problem was covenantal. More specifically, the old covenant/letter. I believe that Jesus came to save man "as man." The whole man. Flesh and mind. Body and spirit. And restore man to the presence of God. Just as it was in the garden of Eden. Man in a body of flesh. But still in the presence of God. God must have wanted it that way. He created it that way. And He concluded that it was "very good." Blessings

@@Anonymous-km5pj My hope is renewed because now I understand that there is not this burning hell fire that I've been taught. This constant battle in my mind am I saved am I not saved. Christ knew not everybody would follow and believe in him. It is their choice their free will. But for those that believe in him there is eternal life. Those that do not believe perish and no longer have a consciousness; they are dead both in body and soul. I often wondered and feared for family and friends of those that didn't believe, that they would be tortured for eternity in this burning fire. It just didn't make sense to me that a loving God would do that. To know that Christ came as he said he would in that generation, gives me comfort to know that there is no contradiction in scripture. I often struggled with things that just did not make sense or seem to contradict each other in regards to Christ's coming. Remember when christ said some of you here will not taste death until you see the coming? Audience relevance plays a big part in understanding scripture. And we have to remember that this was written for a certain people at a certain time. We are now living in that kingdom. Yes when we die we go to be with the Lord in heaven for eternity. But no longer shall we worry and fear that we are not saved and that our loved ones will burn if they're not a believer. I used to cry myself to sleep every night. My hope is renewed to know that the Lord has remained faithful and those that believe in him will have eternal life. I will attach a video on here that helped me a great deal in understanding the hope we have now. Look for it after this comment.

The law of Moses is, literally, the old covenant. Its observance was the contingency to the promised land and the blessings to be had in the land. The land was nothing more than a shadow of the better promises of the better covenant.

    • @AnswersFromJenesis
      @AnswersFromJenesis  6 років тому

The Law of Moses was the codified law of the Old Covenant but not the OC in its entirety. We'll get to that.

    • @Mathew247
      @Mathew247 6 років тому +1

@@AnswersFromJenesis There are verses that equate the Mosaic law and the old covenant. They are synonymous. But regarding full preterism, the old and new covenants were made to have an end. A covenant itself is never meant to be the end game, it's the means to an end. The old covenant was the law, observance to which was the contingency to the land and the blessings in the land. But the land and the promises of the land were but a "shadow of the good things to come". Now we have a "better covenant built on better promises". Therefore, if the new covenant is just a means to an end, then the end is still to come and 1 Cor 15 describes the series of events in which the kingdom is handed over to the Father and death is done away.
If you consider how Jesus described the kingdom over and over again, it's this era. Also, if you realize that this era is the new covenant, then you have the new covenant and the kingdom as synonymous. The new covenant/ kingdom is handed over to the Father and what's left is resurrected believers of all ages on a renewed and restored Earth which counters the fall brought in by Adam. If the Earth became corrupted, as Romans 8 describes, and that corruption is never reversed, as full preterism espouses, then the Messiah's coming doesn't fix the problem but leaves it there for all eternity. "There will be no more curse", speaking of the Earth, is the correction of a physical curse.
Your thoughts? And don't say "We'll get to that"!

LOL!!! I can't have long, drawn out conversations about every subject in the Bible at once, which is easy to do! I do try to keep them focused, especially since I will be building up a foundational teaching with all these videos.
However, I believe both the Old and the New Covenants were marriage covenants for Israel, which is exactly what the Bible says. They do not apply DIRECTLY to us today, but we do receive the benefits from the New Covenant today.

@@AnswersFromJenesis Was the promise of a new covenant meant to be applied "directly" to Israel only? Who is the "many" that Jesus blood of the NC was shed for? Could it be the same "many" that Abraham was to become the father of? The coat of "many" colors seems to represent the nations since it was given to the favorite son and soaked in blood to represent his death to his father as he was elevated to second in command. What about the sprinkling of "many" nations in Is 52? Daniel foretold of Jesus confirming a covenant with "many" in the midst of the shabua. Jesus said "many" will come from east and west to sit at table with A,I & J. We know Jesus' blood was given as a ransom for "many" and as "many" as received Christ, to them He gives the right to become God's children, God becoming the Father of "many nations".
Of course these questions are meant to be rhetorical but I'm very curious to know why you take (at least it seems that way) Jer 31 31 as a face value text, applying the NC directly to Israel only.

I have a question. You say you spent thousands of hours of Biblical study and after many years of such, you claim that words such a 'salvation' and 'eternal' and 'gentile' etc are not what most Christians believe to be.
So it took you many years and thousands of hours to reach all these conclusions. So tell me this: How on earth would you reasonably expect the average person to correctly read and interpret the Bible then? So you honestly believe that God would make the scriptures that incredibly difficult to correctly interpret that it takes many years and thousands of hours of intense study, being involved in dozens of churches as you say?
Or maybe you have convoluted the plain Biblical interpretation of salvation, eternity, redemption, gentiles and other such concepts. I can't believe that God would make His word that ridiculously difficult to understand as you make it out to be.
Maybe salvation, for eg, means faith in Jesus Christ as He plainly said, for the remission of sins.

What if "God" had nothing to do with the Bible after all?

What if you have been lied to all these years? Are you open to finding out absolute truth, or are you comfortable in believing the lies you've always been taught? Most choose to stay in their comfort zone. It's not easy to get out, but very freeing indeed.

And then ALL the peoples of the earth (NOT just Jerusalem) will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, (NOT just Jerusalem) from one end of the heavens to the other." IF this happened in the first century and ALL the peoples of the earth saw the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, I think it would be the most spectacular event in all of history and historical records in every single country around the entire world would be rife with reports of dumbfounded people in total shock at the most amazing sight ever! Notice it says ALL the people of the earth and not just those around Jerusalem. Or are you saying All the peoples of the earth is a metaphor for people around Jerusalem. Also, Peter says, "The Day of the Lord comes as a thief, the heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will melt in fervent heat, and the earth and all its works will be laid bare. Sorry, this did NOT happen in the first century Jerusalem. How do you make some things metaphors and others literal, like passages in Revelation that say certain events will happen soon, or quickly? Also, the word translated soon in Revelation (these things will soon happen) is according to Strong’s the Greek word “tachei” and it means: quickness, speed; hastily, immediately. So, it can be a reference to a particular event happening at a quick pace once it starts.
