Rudi said that if he wanted to have Roxy as a wife he should be a scumbag like Paul, he knows he is being selfish, only then he could have several wives because Mushoku is not like those anime where polygamy or infidelity is treated as something simple, where the protagonist is handsome like Tengen from Kimetsu no Yaiba and they sell you the idea that everything is fine and nothing bad happens or like 100 Girlfriends that presents it as comedy and fantasy.
I think what they did in episode 23 was increase the drama, instead of toning it down like they do in the novel, and spread the blame to both sides. I think the author knows that no matter what Mushoku does, it won't be as popular as (Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Naruto), which is a shame because in my opinion, Mushoku's story is a better story than those animes.
I do agree but Yubi would not agree with us 😂 she loves JJK.
lol. I beg to disagree with Machi's opinion on me being a JJK fan. Sure, I am a JJK fan but that doesn't mean I worship every aspect of it. If I think that there are parts that's a complete waste. I wouldn't think of it otherwise.
Anyways, you're right about the fact that they did increase the drama on this one. It's like they started to make a controversy with this and get reactions from it. They succeeded though, about the reaction but not in a positive way.

@@WittyMatcha I liked JJK and MHA when they started, but as the animes get closer to their end, the story is the same, it's like they saw the worst parts of Naruto and said "hold my beer" (the war is too long and with too many secondary characters and the final boss is too powerful, the protagonist has little development, they practically act like in their first episode, they kill characters without sense or they don't kill them because they don't have the balls)
by the way, your reaction was the best part and I understand it too, I also disliked it at the beginning but as Rudy said if you want to have a harem you have to be a scumbag.
A lot of cut content on this episode, really
messes up the characterizations, most important ones are these two imo:
-They skipped Roxy learning about Rudy being
married. In the same conversation Geese was trying to convince Elinalize to seduce Rudeus so
he gets over his depression, this is where Roxy decided to "visit" rudy in his room. Rudy also
was a lot more depressed than what was shown in the anime, he stayed in his room for days
without doing anything. He compares it to when he was depressed over Eris leaving, he was literally on the brink.
-They skipped Elinalise lying to Rudeus about Roxy being pregnant in order to convince him to take Roxy as his second wife. Rudy knew he fucked up big time and was trying to do his best
to do better, without Elinalise lying he'd have stayed away from Roxy. Elinalise was a friend of Roxy's before she met with her granddaugher Sylphie so she was unhappy seeing Roxy so
depressed so she lied, she knew Rudy would take responsibility if there was a child involved.
There was a lot more but for sucha controvertial episode knowing these makes a difference in my opinion.
I look for this right after we recorded this. Since someone told me a lot of scene from the light novel was removed from this episode.
It's kind a waste they did not include it. I really wanna see that scene now in the anime.
Also they change some of it.
After reading your comment and facts about it. It all makes sense now. How Rudy was able to come up with such decisions. Having a "CHILD" involved would instantly change his decision. Knowing Rudy, he wouldn't abandon the child.
I wish they would have shown this in the episode. It would have toned things down. Instead of misleading people into thinking he blantanty cheated on Sylphie.

Hahaha that I agree. What I don't agree upon is, the way they got together. It felt so rush and it felt like Roxy was desperate. I dunno. Not gonna be pushing my opinion. Hahaha Still it was a great episode.
@@WittyMatcha I think it’s because you Yubi haven’t watched the previous seasons and seen them develop as me or Machi have. Thats why I think it’s fine it’s literally a long time coming.

@@WittyMatcha Yeah, I’m not gunna say Rudy’s a messiah or anything, I just think that he’s earned to love who to love. If he can take care of them, I see no real reason why he couldn’t love them both.
