Loved Trevithick day as a teenager. We used to get cheap wine from the wineshaft off-licence and there was allways a band playing in Rosewarne car park.
Thank you for this video. My grandad lived in Roskear, and we spent our summer holidays with him for 3-4 weeks in the late 90s, early 00s, visiting family, exploring Cornwall and relaxing on the beach at Hayle. The town has changed a lot, but still a few places I remember
Yeah a lot of folk from Cornwall emigrated to the USA for mining including my own family which are from redruth thay emigrated to Michigan because of the mining and hope of a better life we still have family over the USA now
@@kernow..exp. Not a bad Idea! Looks like the majority of my family immigrated from Gwinear Cornwall and some from Camborne and came over the early 1800’s. Hmmm..Do you think England will take me back? Don’t want to be around for the next U.S. Presidential election😳😂
My Great Grandfather and Grandmother are from Cambourne Cornwall They moved to Victoria British Columbia Canada in 1905 One day I will make it across the pond and see this wonderful place, great video! Cheers😎
Hi Thankyou so much for your hospitality my Great Grandfather Richard James Bosence worked at the Dolcoath Mines before moving to Vancouver Island Keep up the great video tours and if your ever in Campbell River which is 3 hours north of Victoria on Vancouver island give me a shout and I’ll give you a free tour my friend😎
Hi, I lived in Camborne for 6 months before returning to Afghanistan for the war. I don't know which place was worse. I've been LOLing at your vids. Peace and love and keep up the good work. CheeseyMcmuggings out.
@@Sploop12 I went to several primary schools in the Camborne and Redruth area due to my mother with my sister and I living in short term let's before she remarried. My last before Camborne was Lanner Cp. I actually started at the original school, now demolished and housing estate. We used to walk to see the new one in Bell Lane being built as part of our project. We were the first to use the school when new. (Showing my age now 😆).
Shuffled right, Shuffled left. Corner what you ignored is Tyacks. I lived on Trevu Rd as a kid. I weren't born in county Cornwall like my siblings. They both born in Truro. 😂 I'm so much worse. Born in Australia.
I was there Trevithick day 22 - Was a bit Lively to say the least - Right on 👍🏻
