Hi Kernow Adam and David. Hope you're all doing well. Was great to see another of these paranormal investigations with all of you guys. Your an awesome team. This was a really great video Kernow. I can't get out like this myself , so it's great getting to watch these. Looking forward to the next one mate 👍😊👍
Yeah we're back out ghost hunting again on Wednesday evening mate now of course we've got another video going on tonight and it's a revisit to an old army camp
That's awesome, mate. I'll be watching and commenting as soon as I can. Thanks, bud. Have a great rest of the evening and week ahead 😊
I found that sticker today... tho I already knew your channel 😅

Copper mine * 👍🏼😬
I did think there was some tin down there mate
You may have spotted some spelling mistakes I do apologize folks
Oh, my happy place! Can’t wait to be back in Portreath soon ❤❤❤
That is Rankine Cove mate!
Wasn't sure the actual name mate but that's really interesting thank you mate
Thanks to malcolm nott’s info I learn that the first pier at portreath was on the west side of the bay. Built by the basset family in 1713, the one we see today was built in 1760 to give them deeper water for bigger ships. Give your army boots a coat of neatsfoot oil mate! Will soften them up and waterproof them too. Any horsey shop will sell the oil.
Cheers m8
Yes I've seen the Bassett baths on the beach I didn't realize there was a small pier on the other side of the beach That's very interesting
Hi Kernow and crew. Hope you're all doing well. Sorry I haven't commented on any videos for a while. I really loved the video mate. It's an amazing location. I have to visit their soon. When you was on the viaduct I suddenly recognised it as a shooting location for the film the Oman 3. I think they had dogs and horses running along it. Which freaks me out with that drop on either side. That and a place called Roche Rock. Appear in the film. Not the greatest film but still cool to see Cornwall on the big screen. Cheers Kernow. Have a great rest of the day and week mate 👍😊👍
Thank you for your comment mate I will have to watch that film I probably have but I'll refresh myself
Good to see Kernow and son out exploring the old mines🙂 It’s an assume valley to have a walk around! John’s pumping house built 1861 for 70inch pumping engine that was moved to wheal uny in redruth at a later date. I suppose that crib hut roof has survived well being on top that hill! Good watch👍
Yes it is a very interesting area 30 years ago I stayed in the hut for a short time and the roof then was pristine sadly now the corrugated sheets are beginning to rust away we will be venturing back to this area very soon
@ Now your 30 years older I bet you don’t fancy staying in the crib hut!😀
Probably in the summer for an overnighter but otherwise no
It's a long time now since I visited that place, I approached the engine house from the Porthtowan end, (parking not easy there),. I only looked at the engine house and had a look up the chimney. Tricia was waiting for me in the car so I had to go back. How do you fancy doing a ride around St Ives video some time? Out of season may be interesting. I don't recall seeing St Ives out of season.
@@Christophers-Assorted-Stuff yeah we will be venturing back to this mine very soon and beneath St Ives Yes I can do that
Haven't been down Porthtowan in years
Great tracking there folks for dad and son
Cheers m8
Great video of you both 😊 good weather for it.
Great video 😊
Great video 😊
Great video lovely views 😊
Great video 😊
Great guys
Brilliant have walked all around this valley looking at the mine ruins great video
1800s not 1700s
Great video again mark....I need a re visit to tywarnhale mine got some good features underground 😊
Yes it definitely is an eye opener underground we will be venturing back later this year
It sure is a interesting valley! Joseph treffry built the viaduct to serve his mining interests. Completed in 1842 was a horse drawn mineral tramway. It’s 90 feet high and 670feet long. Water flowing over the viaduct drove a massive water wheel that powered the incline railway to trefrry’s consols mine. Great view walking over the viaduct mate!👍
I didn't know that it was horse-drawn that's quite amazing and I am aware that they stop the water through the aqueduct I do recall somebody said that it was leaking I do remember visiting there a few years ago and you could see the water gushing through we will return to this valley as I missed out quite a few bits and pieces thank you for your comment Dave
@ no steam till 1872 it seems when cornwall mineral railway bought the tramway from the treffry estate and upgraded it all. Cornwall heritage trust now own the viaduct and are trying to raises money to fix the leaking aqueduct. Yes revisit in the spring sound like a good plan mate!
Great video horse &cart lanes .😊
Great video 😊
Great drone video Mark. 👍
Bit of trivia, the German submarines U-953 and U-712 both type VIIC U-boats were broken up at the old Wharf in 1950 which was then Thomas. W Ward Shipbreakers Ltd. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic 😊
Great video 😊
