  • Happy Holiday's Ya'll!!
I hope you are enjoying the season.
I am so excited to start a new year, I can hardly stand it. I have so many content ideas running through my head. I hope I'm able to step up for you guys in 2022.
Today we are revisiting perm rods and, let me just say, I liked the results much better than I ever have.
The goal of this tutorial is to show you how to maximize your silk press before the next wash day. I don't like to use much heat on my hair, so when I do I, it's a plus to get multiple styles out of it.
I hope you find this video helpful.
If you are a new viewer or subscriber, welcome to my channel !!!
And to all of my existing Lauren Whitney fam, I love and appreciate you all more than you know. I can't believe after 4 years of on again off again content we are almost at 1000. Ya'll are my official OGs!!

This video popped up on my timeline but i'm glad that it did. I do this but i use the magnetic snap on rollers. It really stretch a silk press until the next wash and press day. I always did wonder myself why can't a silk press, a press and curl, or a roller set last a month like braids, weave, etc. As it turn out they all can if you know how to take care of it.
Strange as it sound my hair grow best and act right when i wash it once a month with a silk press and curl or a roller set. One thing i've learned about being a natural rather silk pressed or a twist out but now i'm a full straight natural one thing i've learned is you have to use what is best for your own hair. What work for others hair may not work for your hair. STAY SAFE EVERYONE. GOD BLESS.

That doesn't sound strange to me at all, actually. As long as you are doing what your hair likes it's going to grow and thrive no matter what, in my opinion. Thanks for watching and sharing your input. I'm glad you stumbled across my vid. too! 🤗

Love this 😀 ❤️ I'm looking forward to maximizing my press as well as specially being I paid $200 for a press and color change (wash, trim, and treatment included) 3 weeks ago and It's starting to itch and I'm tempted to wash it but it's still straight and edges smooth. I'm going to try this tonight thanks a bunch ☺️ 😊 💕

I love this so much! It's gorgeous! I want to give it a go, but now I'm wondering how do put it up at night? For my silk presses i usually either wrap my hair at night or pin curl it. What's the process for a perm rod set?

Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Honestly, pineapples and all that don't work for me. I just sleep with the curls loose in a bonnet or on a satin pillow case.

Very pretty ❤ and great explanation the hair placement/tightness on the rod is everything. My question is how did you sleep ? Lol

Thank you!! I slept in a loose pineapple. My hair is medium length, so some pieces fell down in the back and around the sides. It's ok, though. I use a satin pillow case.

This is gorgeous! I never considered trying a perm rod on dry hair... I've always set my hair while set. It turned out amazing! I will defintely be trying this after my next silk press. ☺
