I never comment on videos but thought it would be helpful to let you know the reason why your rods weren't as tight as they could be. Its the placement of the part that snaps the top closed. If placed over the outside of the hair it will stay tight and in place...no gaps and no frizz

The key to doing the perfect perm rod set is to put the string part when u are about to lock it is to put it closer to your hair instead of behind your hair if that makes any sense lol to get it tighter to the root! Your hair came out absolutely beautiful tho!!!

Yes, you're only doing it wrong if you want it to the scalp. It's kind of the way you rap the black band around the roller then snap it, it kind of tightens the hold if that makes sense. 😁
I loved your video. I wanted to share that I went to the salon just a few days ago and got a rod set. Cost me $135. They told me that it should last about 3 weeks. I maintained it as instructed. Hah! A few days later, with the humidity, it wasn't worth it. After seeing your video, heck, I know that I can do it myself. I appreciate your video so much. You look gorgeous. BTW, what is the solution you put on your hair before rolling it?
