    Do you think a weak Yen is good for Japan?

    • @youcantata
      @youcantata 14 днів тому +3

      Yes, weak Yen will boost global attractiveness of Japanese goods and services like automobile and machinery to compete with expensive German cars or cheap Chinese goods. Tourism will also benefit from the weak yen.

      A weak yen definitely makes Japanese products more competitive and boosts tourism. And for visitors from countries like Malaysia, it’s a great time to explore Japan while getting more value for their currency

    A reminder that japan became rich because of usa opened its market for japans automotive and electronics with watered down yen value. We got plaza accord, and it ends.😂

    There are other reasons as well. For example, the new NISA cause flood of Japanese to invest outside the country

    No mention of over 10 years of QE!!!!! We printed and printed trillions. If you cannot see that as a cause of currency devaluation, I seriously doubt your credibility on economics.

    for me if japan yen is still weak is a good chance for visitor to visit japan and then they at least get a chance to learn more about japan and how they can be the super modern and so futuristick country like we know now ,and japan also say its good cause when yen is weak many foreigner can help japan ,not like when yen is strong japan economy is weak cause not worth it

    Actually, this video is totally wrong.... Japanese yen is still too strong to come back to the front line of the world economy. When Japanese industry and export were growing none stop during 60s to 70s. Japanese yen was so cheap and weak as US$1 = JY360. That's why we could export and deliver our industrial products to worldwide with very competitive prices. However, after the plaza accord with US government, we sucked by the strong yen and our exporting power was totally killed. Therefore, we need even weaker and lower Japanese yen than now....

  • @fahey5719
    @fahey5719 5 днів тому +1

    You say it as if it were a bad thing. Quite the contrary, a "weak" Yen {or any currency used by an exporting Country) is GOOD! Expensive Yen on the 90s made Japanese goods expensive and uncompetitive, leaving the field empty for Taiwan, Korea and China. China beat them at their own game. Today "made in Japan" means: "VERY high quality ... but EXPENSIVE"

    Some people say that yen is safe because Japan has huge amounts of foreign currency and foreign assets, but I don't really understand what they mean by that. I just feel that we are getting poorer and poorer.

    • @bl5608
      @bl5608 10 днів тому +5

      Japan has always been safe, dont worry. Japan holding US Treasury bonds is like saving account and receive interest rate. Most japan foreign currency is also US dollar to purchase oil .
      Not just you, but most people are getting poorer. Russia sanctions, US china trade war , world economic slowdown are making stuff more expensive and we are producing less.

    please translate my word ok i speak malay ,sebenarnyaa walaupun jepun banyak melabur ke usd tapi silap mereka sekarang ,masih wujud ,kebergantungan pada usd juga boleh merosakkan integriti dan juga kestabilan negara sebab banyak campur tangan asing menyebabkan kedaualtan negara mudah dirosakkan ,kedua yen jepun melemah hakikatnya kerana kemampaun belinya yang lemah dan sikap rakyat jepun yang suka simpan duit dan kurang berbelanja membuatkan mereka membina kekayaan sendiri dan yang merisaukan jepun ramai yang lari dari bayar cukai sama macam negara membangun juga ramai orang kaya lari daripada bayar cukai sebab ia membebankan ,ia patut dimansuhkan saja sebab ia jelas menekan kewangan mereka terutamanya yang menikmati gaji rendah yang membuatkan mereka terpaksa bekerja lebih lama walaupun bayarannya tidak naik ,majikan mereka juga kena usahakan sesuatu bagi menaikkan pendapatan syarikatnya supaya tak kelhilangan ramai tengaa pakar terutamanya yang ada pengalaman lama ,silap jepun juga sebab dia gagal atasi masalah deflasi yang jauh lebih teruk berbanding inflasi yang mana terjadi disebabkan kenaikan harga barang dan matawang yang melemah menyebabkan kemampaun kuasa beli menjadi teruk ,selain itu yang teurknya perbandingan dibuat mengikut dollar amerika saja dan tak utamakan matawang dirantau asia seperti ringgit ,yen yuan dan juga singapura dollar yang meningkat berbanding dulu .amerika jelas campur tangan dalam merosakkan ekonomi negara asia dan ia mula disedari china sebab itu china dan jepun berpakat kurangkan pinjaman usd menjadi kurang dari 1 trilion usd kerana mereka tahu ekonomi amerika akan mula melemah sebaik brics ambil alih ekonomi dunia menjelang 2040 dan negara G7 akan alami kesusahan besar

    The fact that Japan pegs its trade to a collapsing USA, instead of China or the rest of Asia is the biggest foreign policy and economic mistake.

      After today's election result, I think that a weak yen is a good thing for Japan.
      Trump is going to raise tarrifs on Chinese goods to the point Americans don't buy them, and they will be buying Japanese goods instead (assuming congress lets him)
      If a war between China and Taiwan breaks out, there might be an all out ban in Chinese goods, and that might turn Japan into America's full time factory

    6:02 ia jelas menunjukkan pada kita bahawa negara barat mengalami penurunan kekayaan dan ekonominya mula menguncup macam negara kaya yang lain sedang alami ,dan kebangkitan china menengelamkan banyak pasaran tradisional macam negara jirannya jepun korea amerika dan eropah semuanya mula berubah sebaik china memulakan kerancakan ekonomi dan banyak negara bergantung pada barangan china yang jauh lebih murah dan juga bagus

      Even China couldn't be the savior for world trade bcus they consume only little. At 40% of GDP compared to US at 60% of GDP. Make matter worse China protect their own companies and make life hard for foreign companies. I mean you can't have your cake and eat it too. Japanese yen value is weaker than USD rn but still valued higher than yuan or rupee. To be honest China is more greedy than the west. China try to sell everything at low price just to kill the competition. With less competition everything is at the mercy of China if they successful control the market. West is greedy on individual stand point but China is greedy on system wide level.

      Sok tahu saja afizi ini. Lihat laporan ekonomi dan pelajari dengan baik data2nya, jangan berdasarkan opini propaganda cctv China saja. China penurunan ekonominya sangat tajam yang disebabkan oleh sektor properti. Justru saat ini negara barat terutama usa menunjukkan penguatan pada mata uang dan sektor ekonominya.
