As a traditional Diné(Navajo), I'm a story teller, but many Diné who had many experiences with Skinwalkers, were actually Diné who were chosen by a "Coven"of these witches, they will choose a smart young child, they will groom these kids to become what are known as Skinwalkers. We Navajo have many stories and the Skinwalkers are our own greed/sickness manifested, they are between worlds, between here and "there".
Skinwalker, for sure. I only say this cuz I used to work housekeeping at a midgrade hotel. And let me tell you, NO MATTER HOW NICE YOU THINK A HOTEL/MOTEL IS, ALLWAYS CHECK FOR BEDBUGS!!!🤢🤮
The cratching outside my window at night, just imagining it gives me goosebumps. And it's interesting to know that traditional Navajo rituals, like fumigation and amulets, play a role in protecting the family
I didn't hear anything like this on the reservation back in 2002. Normally these sorts of things are kept to ones and shared with family members. I'm sure if Skinwalkers were seen like you describe then we would have at least heard of it in the Navajo times. I do have a few stories if anyone is interested in hearing.
Can’t believe I’m saying this…but I definitely have to vote BED BUGS over…you know whats…100%. Omg what a question ! Both choices are horrible but guess I'll deal with the skinwalker cuz them nasty bedbugs never go away!!! Thanks for the creepy crawlies DP ❤😊
So, im 1/16th Cherokee and a buddy of mine is part Navajo. Not sure by how much but, one night i was training him on a security job and we legit came across two of them, with a pack of coyotes nearby, on a rural golf course in the middle of a forest... Dont think I've moved faster before in my life. The orange eyes was what gave it away for us. We didnt talk until the Sun rose that morning....
hmm. if i know skinwalker, that they dont enter my home. i pick a female skinwalker (i got to choose). now, my problem would be how to go home before sundown. or going to a graveyard shift.
Since I found you in 2019, you are my ear while I sleep! If it's silent I can not sleep! Marine Corps Vet and crazy dreamest.. .I can't explain, need the light on, so I survive! Lol!❤❤❤
sadly i have had bedbugs once and nothing compares to the mental torture they cause. in saying that, i don't even need to think it over when i say i'd rather deal with a SW, i don't wanna test fate and say its name out loud, lol.

We moved into a rental home that had bedbugs. When we discovered the problem we had to get rid of all of our furniture n I had to wash all of our clothes n store them in totes in the shed until we found a new rental home. We received living room furniture plus a microwave cabinet from my SIL n had to go buy a brand new bedroom set. Our new place didn’t have a stove so we had to buy that too. It was well over a year before we were able to afford a dining set along with everything else we lost. We eventually had to replace the secondhand living room set because the furniture was decades old so the fabric started falling apart from use which made me sad since it had originally belonged to his grandparents. 😔 Trust me, you would not ever want bedbugs. 😂 In the end it cost us well over $10K to replace everything.
@JeneenRose-Osborne had em... My daughter brought the bastards home from a friend's one summer when she was 8... Took us 6 months and a bunch of treatments we threw out my daughters bed set and some other sh*t. Those things suck!!
I have a story so I went to a campground with my brother and parents in 2024 summer I lived in a big city in Missouri and went to a cabin surrounded by woods miles long on the first night my dad woke up to go out side and walk around and look for something and that day he was acting really weird then the second night I saw it I went to go to the bathroom and I saw it through the window a big dark figure it looked 7 feet tall had yellow bright eyes it looked at me and stared at me I took a step back it stepped forward I ran to hide I ended up hiding in the bathroom my dad heard me slam the door I heard a scream that made my ears bleed it stopped I heard it scratching on the door my dad grabbed the gun and shot it several we went home immediately and we hit it and screamed loudly we folded the truck I still will always remember that 2 days.
I'd definitely rather deal with a skinwalker. At least he/she is one of my relatives, and I know how to pray and deal with them. I don't literally mean a cousin or uncle... I mean a fellow native.
That's tuff because they are both are to get rid of . But at least you can move and you could be done with the bed bug . But the skin walker would never stop. So my and is bed bugs 😂😅

First story; didn't finish it. Parents are dumb. I don't care how it ends. Navajo. Love that they kept their name given by the Spanish. How can you be proud of your culture when you go by the name given by your enslavers...
@bfangs did you read and listen to the first part of the story? Navajo is a huge part of it and the title is navajo vs skinwalkers. And these stories claim to be true so whomever wrote them are supposed to be from that culture and they called themselves Navajo. In other words I am not doing anything. I'm going with what the video is telling me.
The story is BS anyway. Skinwalker is the name non-Diné folks call Yannis. Yannis aren't creatures. They are witches who can shapeshift. People who practice dark arts. The story suggests they are creatures. Also speaks as if they aren't Diné, even though their mother is Diné. Our tribal police and rangers have been dealing with reports for decades, nothing new. There are some things stated that sound fake and stuff that sounds kinda legit, but someone did a little bit of research, I'm sure. Most of the "Navajo Skinwalker" stories online indicate they are made up and the writer isn't a genuine tribal member.
@@wytchqueen ingot something called nahuatl in Mexico. I don't know but skinwalker stories always sound fake. They add some type of fantasy to them. I lived with his family and spent many years hearing REAL accounts of skinwalkers. This story did not match a true skin walker. The other accounts were far from Navajo land and really weren't about skin walkers.

I looked it up, because I wasn't sure myself. Sneaked is the standard accepted word, while snuck is the non-standard accepted word. Both are valid, just a matter of choice.
The Navajos Nation refuses to talk about these things and you shouldn't either. I still love your videos and I'm still subscribed, but I'll have to pass on this one. I promised some Real NAVAJOS, who told me NEVER SAY THAT WORD.
