Unfortunately, the mainstream music labels nowadays refuse to promote artists who still write music in the 80s, 90s genre, because they tell them it is old-fashioned music, even if those artists tries to stay up-to-date in the matter of arrangements, effects and sounds. I know this because I am also a musician (I am a singer, songwriter, composer, lyricist, arranger, producer and instrumentalist) and I wrote pop and rock music. The only way for you to discover new artists in your favourite genre, and for us, the artists, to be discovered by you, the one who aprreciate this kind of music, is on the internet. I really hope that you will try to search for my band and give it a try. Maybe you will like it. We are a romanian band but we released one album in two versions and one of those versions is in English. For example, try to search "Taylor-A storm within our souls" and you will find one of our songs.
