Dear DJDiscoCat, I am just typical Asian guys in mid 30 from South Korea. I started to listen to black music around 14 years old and ever since I never stopped listening these from different era. My love for black music led to discover your channel a few years back and it is now my go-to channel whenever I want to listen to music. I just want to thank you to put old-school rock & black music from different eras along with detailed explanation on the artist! If you have pod-cast or radio-channel I would listen to it all day!
My first year out of high school when this came out. "Dream Weaver" captured the imagination of everyone but I rank "Love Is Alive" above it, my favourite Gary Wright song by far. Rich, lush production, layers of keyboards, fabulous lyrics: "I have lived only half of what I am / It's all clear to me now..." You've given this classic the Midas touch that you have with everything you mix. Thanks for giving the song new, exciting life.

Now All these years later I'm inspired to learn how to roller skate all over again just so I can feel the ground roll away under my wheels as I move and glide to this groove still as cool as it ever was. I was only 7 years old when this was released. I grew up with my parents tastes in music. This takes me back to my hometown’s first FM station and listening to hear this song and other magical songs from the 70s. I consider myself and my generation lucky. We grew up with the great, already made music from the 1950s & 1960s. We then had the 1970s & 1980s (now classic) music for us to hear when it was new. Thanks DJ for another awesome remix that does the classic song justice. You’re the best on UA-cam at extension remixes. I sincerely believe that the 1980s was the last decade for good music. Shout out to DJ Disco cat!!! LOVE every minute of this music!!!!! Our family had to skate in a tournament in Canada. We called our Co-Champion teammates the Roller Masters. I also told my other teammates Chin Li, Patty Proctor, Carol Levine, and her sister. The Roller Masters came to Maine and stayed with us. We all went over many songs and routines to be sure we were ready to use anything we needed to. my sister Eva and I decide to use something different and chose this song as the one we would use. My sisters Eva and Caroline went to work on a routine. Then they brought it to everyone else and we LOVED what they did!!!! I wanted to put a little more intensity and spice it up slightly, so I got Eva and Caroline involved and help me give our routine a punch. they loved what I came up with. Then we went to my mother and my aunt Rose for their OK to use our routine. They added a few more touches and we were ready to use it at the tournament. My sister Eva, Caroline, and I taught everyone else the routine!!! We hired a charter bus and went to Canada. The rink that hosted the tournament was very beautiful!! There were many teams besides us and they were all top-notch pro-skaters!!! The prize package included $20,000.00 cash New skates, New skate equipment, custom rink jackets, and a beautiful trophy. There were also STRICT rules!!! There was to be NO TAUNTING and other unruly conduct!!! Any team violating those rules would be disqualified and ejected from the rink!!! There were other teams that recognized us from prior tournaments The captains of those teams came up and talked with my mother and aunt Rose. My mother told them that we were here to compete as well!! My mother told the other team captains, " May the Best Team Win!!!! Then the tournament was underway. My mother gave out the segment and team assignments. Then we competed. The Roller Masters competed and wowed the other teams. Then my mother took my sisters Nancy, Caroline, Chin Li, Patty Proctor, and my aunt Rose and put on a skate clinic. We also watched the other teams and they were unsurpassed in their routines. One of the teams did a phenomenal routine and led in points!! Then my mother sent my sister Eva, Me, my girlfriend Debbie, Carol Levine, and her sister and we danced to OH, MY, MY, by Ringo Starr and Just brought the house down!! Even the other teams cheered us!!!!!!! The team competition was next and everyone showed their best routines. When it was our turn, we were tied for first place!! All of us were very excited!!! My mother and my aunt Rose hugged us and told us to put our hearts and souls into our routine!!! We all went on the skate floor with love and determination in our hearts. I was so excited because I knew what we were going to do. This song started and my energy went NUCLEAR and everyone else felt it. We did our routine but my mother, my aunt Rose, Eva, Nancy, Caroline, Debbie, Patty, Carol, and her sister really shined and stole the comp petition because of their heart and the way they skated!!! The Roller Masters were even impressed at what was going on!!!! Patty was holding Caroline's hand and she had tears coming out. I skated up and kissed both of them. Debbie was feeling MAGNUM ENERGY from me which made her skating go to the next level!! We got done and won the competition. We all hugged and kissed each other. Two of the other team captains came up and congratulated us on winning the tournament and asked how we did it. My mother told them, " We didn't win with the routine but with DETERMINATION and energy that came from my son which in turn made us all skate at a much HIGHER LEVEL"!!!! He is the ENERGY and DRIVING FORCE of this team!!! I was listening to this and CRIED my eyes OUT!!! My mother hugged me and told me in front of everyone. " Your ENERGY and DETERMINATION is what won this tournament for us!!!! We took the prize package and got Carol and her sister new Pro-Roller skates, they got a custom rink jacket, and we gave them a jacket and shirt with our team the "SUPERBIRDS" printed on it!! Carol and her sister were so thrilled for not only getting new skates but also being part of a team that were skating champions!!! We even got to skate with some of the other teams
