Dragon is on the opposite side of the world, what is he gonna do? It took kuma a bit more than a day to get from momoiro island to egghead. Dragon is still on momoiro island, he physically cannot get there unless he can teleport. Shanks is nearby yes, but Dorry and Broggy were on the same island with Shanks and shanks didn't come with them to Egghead, I doubt he's on his way either.

I personally support the theory that vegapunk wants the summoning of the 5 Elders. This is why he said 10 minutes to lure them onto the island to give them the possible illusion that they could stop the message. It wouldn't wonder me if the sending point of the message would be under water or separate of the island and he only let it seems like it is on egg head. I think that after the 10 minutes he will start a live stream of egghead and the fight of the gorosei. I want the world to see the sun God vs the 5 Stars of Darkness
The 10 min countdown is like a flip of how things typically go down. The villain usually have a doomsday device with a timer, and the hero has to stop it in that time. This time, it's the other way round, where the villain has to stop the "doomsday device" in time. Genius.

The giant sword from Wano actually belongs to the sleeping giant robot on Egghead (notice how the giant robot is missing a horn same as Onigashima). The skull belongs to a member of Oars's race which the robot fought in the past (kaiju battle same as holograms on Egghead). Which means the ancient kingdom built advanced weapons and tech to fight the demons but they lost and they took over the world.

So using that inconsistency this theory is still plausible, but probably unlikely cuz how would the giant/robot obtain the sword if onigashima is submerged (doubt the cover story will cover that).

Narratively it makes no sense for the SH to suffer a great defeat. Plus, we already know thanks to the narrator that in Egghead there will be a massive incident that will shock the world, which can only mean that Vegapunk at least partially will be able to spread his message.
Exactly. Plus remember Doflamingo's words at the end of Dressrosa "Tell the Celestial Dragons in Mariejois, that they will be dragged down." This is happening RIGHT NOW and people aren't seeing it. The Revolutionary Army destroyed Mariejois food storages and are blocking trade routes to Mariejois. The Celestial Dragons are currently complaining about lack of food. And now the 5 Elders have come down. Chaos is reigning among the Celestial Dragons rn. Idk if Imu falls here but I do beleive the Gorosei might actually fall here. Katarina Devon now can pose as Saturn, go to Mariejois, Imu will be deceived and then Blackbeard can usurp Imu's power and take the Throne.
The gorosei's priority right now should be shutting down the broadcast, not Luffy. Thats the whole reason for Saturn summoning the gorosei. So if Luffy gets taken out of the fight for whatever reason they would prioritize the broadcast over trying to hunt him down. I still think the iron giant is gonna show up and do something big for the strawhats he just needs time to cook

Theres a theory about why Vegapunk is giving people 10 minutes to get their visual Den Den Mushi's. Basically the theory is that while the main video is a pre-recorded message, it will cut to a video of the actual fight between Luffy and the Gorosei to let the world see what the Gorosei are really like. So the "I'll give you 10 minutes until I reveal everything" was bait to get the Gorosei down to him so he can just out the WG since it would be kinda difficult to convince anyone that the world leaders are demons by just telling them and not showing.

I’ve got the feeling, the eternal youth surgery is more than we expected. Assuming Imu and all Gorosei live since the void century, all of them had it performed on them. We know the awakening of the Ope Ope no Mi. With that in mind, the eternal life surgery has to be a special room, like an enternal/timeless room, where your body overcomes the aging process and the creation of that takes the whole lifespan of the Ope Ope user. So Saturn might be covered in this E Room and it prevents damage from Gear 5 advanced haki attacks. Imagine Law having to perform the surgery on Luffy to allow him to fight the Gorosei in the E room, sacrificing himself for the last big battle of the D clan vs their ancient enemies.
But if the surgery is a sort of room and the surgery is made on luffy, then luffy would be bound to a certain place, which wouldn't add up. I think the five elders are creations of Imu and not real individuals
omg, I had come up with a related theory regarding the gorosei. What if the gorosei are the original gods of their own fruits, and the way they have lived for long, is by having their fruit eaten in a controlled environment and then overpowering their hosts' willpower. It could also explain the utter detachment they show for human lives. It could also make for a wicked comeback when one of them is beaten in the future. Becoming pure will after death might be one of the keys to become a Zoan fruit. Which could entail being connected to the voice of all things, and that's how they communicate.

I have a theory on the vegapunk clones/androida, They are likely a robot form, with a part of vegapunks brain in them (essentially a cyborg if you will). Since that part of Vegapunk is alive he technically isn't dead. This is why Punk records didn't disappear. Like other DF abilities in event if death or KO. I think Vegapunk literally gamed the DF system to allow him immortality,, so long as one of the vegapunk 6 is alive, he will never die

Don't forget that whatever the message is, a visual component is very important. Vegapunk can't just TELL the world, he has to SHOW it. I like the idea brought up by GrandLineReview - that this whole thing is a trap for the Gorosei, and that Vegapunk is about to put the camera on them and let the entire world see just what's ruling them.
I admit to getting caught up in the ch1108 hype and forgetting, but ep1096 reminded me we have the sense that Vegapunk didn't actually know much more than what he learned from Ohara(outside of the technology side of course). It's probably not enough to make people take up arms and start the war that Whitebeard spoke of, and if so it'd only endanger whoever sees it. So the idea of it being some kind of feint or trap instead appeals to me. Another possibility is that he's baiting the marines into destroying all their comms equipment to prevent the broadcast, just as a way to help everyone escape.
despite how broken the five elders powers are we seem to forget when luffy awakened his devil fruit, luffys powers are broken as well. only inhibited by his imagination is something wild and i think oda is planning some crazy power with telepaty and teleportation introduced. or maybe incient haki powers

In terms of power scaling for story purposes, I don’t think it’d make too much sense if either Luffy or the Gorosei were to be soundly defeated here on Egghead. As we’ve seen, Gear 5 Luffy hasn’t been able to cause much of any lasting damage on Saturn, but Saturn in turn hasn’t really been able to hurt G5 Luffy. While having all 5 Gorosei jump Luffy would cause some issues, I believe they’re gonna have a hard time putting him down. This conflict going on at Egghead’s feels like it’s going to be one big game of ‘Protect the Stronghold’, very much unlike any other timed countdown we’ve seen thus far. The Strawhats have to fend off the Government till Vegapunk’s message can play, then get the hell outta dodge afterwards. Excited to see how things play out for the Egghead Island arc, and then if our crew’s finally gonna make their way to Elbaf.
The most obvious possibility for the gorosei not being damaged is hat they had someone with the ope-ope fruit perform the immortality thing on them. I mean they have slaves, it's not hard to believe that over the centuries that they have lived they got some slaves to eat that fruit and then have him kill himself to give them immortality.
one of the properties of luffy turning into rubber is that physical hits are absord and do less damage than otherwise. if in gear fifth luffy turns everything around him toonish and rubbery, even his opponents, then maybe he is making his enemies more resilient as well. everyone of his attacks although impressive are way less destructive than they would seem, thus making them less violent and more toonish/childfriendly. luffy's fight against kaido rather than who is more powerful, was was a youngster against an old person. probably the gear fifth is more about mental exaustion than sheer force. and it would mean that this superpowerful shonen hero is unable to kill anyone, not directly at least. also, the telepathic connection between the gorousei perhapps mirrors the connection between the vegapunks
what if instead of the gorosei succeeding in destroying punk records, imu decides to take drastic measures, and uses the mother flame on egghead. what if that’s a part of vegapunks plan… he told the world specifically to use video transponder snails, implying that there’s something he wants them to see. i think it’d be fitting if vegapunk(the current smartest human alive), planned on imu really not liking what he has to say, and therefore setup a countermeasure. there’s also a good chance that this is just a prerecorded message being streamed from another island entirely.
At the end of Sabaody, Kuma saved the crew by using his paw paw fruit. They weren’t necessarily defeated. I believe the same thing will happen this arc.
I said the same thing about the Gorosei being the actual devils within the devil fruits to someone yesterday, I think that would add a lot of reason to why Oda had Kaku say it back in Water 7/Enies Lobby
It seems that people missed out the part where Saturn is minister of Defense and Science. Which means, among the five elders, he is the most durable. He can take damages like it is nothing since he is mythical zoan user. A DF with beast form and Logia abilities. Marco first shown this to us during the Marineford war. I think the only way to defeat saturn is by breaking one part of his body or weapon. What if the soul is inside his scepter? The only way to find it, is by performing advance observation haki like GOD USSOPP's coloring haki. He can see the shape of soul from a long distance.
To think even now some people think that Kizaru might turn sides after doing what he did is unbelievable 😮😂. Seriously these people are showing more empathy for an Admiral than to Zoro and Sanji 😅
I am sure kizaru hasn’t gone all out this entire arc, due to being conflicted about his mission. You can see it in his face the two times luffy knocked him into the ground.

Because at the end of the day he did what he is ordered to do which is killing his friend. I don't think he can turn sides because of his very nature "the unclear justice". Kizaru said himself in the early chapters of this Egghead arc that he is just a government dog or slave I don't exactly remember the wording he put. What I think about him is, he would rather be a WB servent than to have his own opinion on something because of his very nature unlike Akainu and Kuzan who has clear idea of what they are doing and what they want to do. This is just my own opinion on these characters by how much I understand watching them. But obviously opinions differ for each individual since everyone sees and understand things different from one another. No offense.😊

It baffles me that people think VP did not plan this intentionally the moment he was marked for death by the WG. He will drop some info on how evil the WG is, show a live feed of the transformed Gorosei, explain someone rules the entire world as well. Then once the message is almost over, and everyone except the Gorosei are safely off and away from the island, VP is going to erase Egghead like the Ancient Kingdom and Lulusia was erased (Lulusia this arc) this time with 5 of the top WG on it: Vegapunk created the weapon the WG uses to erase Lulusia so he knows how to use it. He could use the same weapon or “invented” a second one. He also manufactures the mother flame required to make the weapon run. The Gorosei does not want egghead destroyed because that’s where they get the source of fuel for their weapon. The foreshadowing and parallels almost confirms this: Sabaody: Kuma “erases” (sends away) the SHs Egghead: VP erases Egghead and kills the Gorosei Beginning of arc the 5 Gorosei erase Lulusia to prevent Sabo from leaking info on the transponder snails to the RAs, soul purpose to kill Sabo which they fail to do because he got off the island. End of this arc Vegapunk is sending the info Sabo attempted to give the RA, but this time to the whole world, and then will destroy the 5 Gorosei members with this weapon and they can’t escape probably because the Ancient Robot keeps them busy and not able to teleport off the island.

The elders are coming to egghead to prevent it but it isn't being broadcast from egghead. "The Gorosei does not want egghead destroyed because that’s where they get the source of fuel for their weapon." You've got this backward, vegapunk is the one that wants to preserve egghead. Saturn wants to completely annihilate it. Either the SH's will defeat the marines and drive them away from egghead or egghead will be vaporized.

Saturns form is based off of a yokai(an evil spirit) so I think what he's doing is making himself intangible like a ghost. When you see Luffy hit him the visual makes it look like Luffy is phasing through him. This makes sense as if you're intangible you can't really take damage. Although I'm not sure if haki would bypass this ability or not. In hind sight that makes this fruit seem similar to special paramecia as it gives you an ability similar to a logia. Yet seemingly immune to even haki.

Kats devil fruit functions like a logia but unlike logia's he has to physically turn his body into mochi to have the attack go through him. Logia's don't have to do that as their physical body is the element they embody at all times, no on/off switch. This may be the same situation with Saturn, he might have to physically change his body to have attacks phase through him. It's just in that instance he didn't feel the need to because he viewed it as a wasted effort.

7:36 for this question there is a last possible explanation, and to me the most credible, that I take from one of your earlier videos: maybe each of the 5 elders received the "immortality operation" from the Ope Ope no Mi, and the constant regeneration is the manifestation of this 'immortality'.
The summoning reminded me of Hol Cake Island and one of the Candy generals. He was able to summon a Djinn because of his devil fruit. Maybe the elders have something similar to that but awakened.

This turn could be Sabaody 2.0. When you think about it from storywriting perspection. The enemy Straw Hats countered at Sabaody was to show them what the world really has to offer. They did not stand a chance against Pacifodta and Admiral. What's the next level after that? The Gorosei themselves. All 5 of them togethet will show Luffy, and the readers, what he's truly against to. Like Ohara said here, Straw Hats were on the wave at the momemt, thinking nothing can stop them. I'm not saying there's another timeskip coming, I'm saying that Straw Hats might face somekind of separation again here
Everyone takes for granted that the signal source is in the labostratum. Like Vegapunk would not think to put up contingencies and back ups if he truly wants the message to be heard. Or he wants the labostratum destroyed so it doesn't fall into WG hands
Dragon could easily get the RA to egghead if he does have a wind logia, with controlled wind blown at the sails they'll get there faster than we think or even if he can conjure a cyclone to move ships from A to B... I mean wind travels fast so for utility it can speed up travel times

The Gorosei seems untouchable like Kaido at the begenning, but they also have battle scars, so they can be damaged. But I have no clue what can damage the Gorosei Zoans, there are no new types/variations of haki to use
One of the 5 elders won't go back home alive. Or they'll pull a sound 4 move and seal Luffy up which leads us to a redemption/retrieving arc. Last but not least Kuma stays back and holds off the 5 elders while we escape
I think the message of vegapunk will be something related to the empty thrown, making the affiliated kingdoms to rebel, making a good opening for the revolutionary army to start moving and fighting the holy knights, I don’t see the straw hats fighting with the holy knights since Dragon is actually waiting for them to move. Would make more sense if the RA take down the holy knights
I haven't seen anybody mention the fact that we already saw telepathy in the story, when the seakings talked with each other. Which makes me think this is the gorosai using a form of the voice of all things.

Since the Gorosei seem to be impervious to damage I wonder if the barrier protecting the lab can stop them. Saturn doesn't seem to care about taking damage so there should be no reason he can't just go through it, other than Luffy stopping him, so I wonder if there's something else preventing him from just charging through the barrier. I personally support the theory that vegapunk wants the summoning of the 5 Elders. This is why he said 10 minutes to lure them onto the island to give them the possible illusion that they could stop the message. It wouldn't wonder me if the sending point of the message would be under water or separate of the island and he only let it seems like it is on egg head. I think that after the 10 minutes he will start a live stream of egghead and the fight of the gorosei. I want the world to see the sun God vs the 5 Stars of Darkness
dragon is the one broadcasting the message. that was what shaka was arranging with him at the beginning of this arc.
The 10 min countdown is like a flip of how things typically go down. The villain usually have a doomsday device with a timer, and the hero has to stop it in that time. This time, it's the other way round, where the villain has to stop the "doomsday device" in time. Genius.

The giant sword from Wano actually belongs to the sleeping giant robot on Egghead (notice how the giant robot is missing a horn same as Onigashima). The skull belongs to a member of Oars's race which the robot fought in the past (kaiju battle same as holograms on Egghead).
Which means the ancient kingdom built advanced weapons and tech to fight the demons but they lost and they took over the world.
The sleeping robot on Egghead is not nearly as big as the Wano Giant Katana, the sword is bigger than the Sunny.

The gorosei's priority right now should be shutting down the broadcast, not Luffy. Thats the whole reason for Saturn summoning the gorosei. Theres a theory about why Vegapunk is giving people 10 minutes to get their visual Den Den Mushi's. Basically the theory is that while the main video is a pre-recorded message, it will cut to a video of the actual fight between Luffy and the Gorosei to let the world see what the Gorosei are really like. So the "I'll give you 10 minutes until I reveal everything" was bait to get the Gorosei down to him so he can just out the WG since it would be kinda difficult to convince anyone that the world leaders are demons by just telling them and not showing.

I’ve got the feeling, the eternal youth surgery is more than we expected. Assuming Imu and all Gorosei live since the void century, all of them had it performed on them. We know the awakening of the Ope Ope no Mi. With that in mind, the eternal life surgery has to be a special room, like an enternal/timeless room, where your body overcomes the aging process and the creation of that takes the whole lifespan of the Ope Ope user. So Saturn might be covered in this E Room and it prevents damage from Gear 5 advanced haki attacks. Imagine Law having to perform the surgery on Luffy to allow him to fight the Gorosei in the E room, sacrificing himself for the last big battle of the D clan vs their ancient enemies.
But if the surgery is a sort of room and the surgery is made on luffy, then luffy would be bound to a certain place, which wouldn't add up. I think the five elders are creations of Imu and not real individuals
omg, I had come up with a related theory regarding the gorosei.
What if the gorosei are the original gods of their own fruits, and the way they have lived for long, is by having their fruit eaten in a controlled environment and then overpowering their hosts' willpower. It could also explain the utter detachment they show for human lives. It could also make for a wicked comeback when one of them is beaten in the future.
Becoming pure will after death might be one of the keys to become a Zoan fruit. Which could entail being connected to the voice of all things, and that's how they communicate.

I have a theory on the vegapunk clones/androida, They are likely a robot form, with a part of vegapunks brain in them (essentially a cyborg if you will). Since that part of Vegapunk is alive he technically isn't dead. This is why Punk records didn't disappear. Like other DF abilities in event if death or KO. I think Vegapunk literally gamed the DF system to allow him immortality,, so long as one of the vegapunk 6 is alive, he will never die

I admit to getting caught up in the ch1108 hype and forgetting, but ep1096 reminded me we have the sense that Vegapunk didn't actually know much more than what he learned from Ohara(outside of the technology side of course). It's probably not enough to make people take up arms and start the war that Whitebeard spoke of, and if so it'd only endanger whoever sees it. So the idea of it being some kind of feint or trap instead appeals to me.
Another possibility is that he's baiting the marines into destroying all their comms equipment to prevent the broadcast, just as a way to help everyone escape.

In terms of power scaling for story purposes, I don’t think it’d make too much sense if either Luffy or the Gorosei were to be soundly defeated here on Egghead.
As we’ve seen, Gear 5 Luffy hasn’t been able to cause much of any lasting damage on Saturn, but Saturn in turn hasn’t really been able to hurt G5 Luffy. While having all 5 Gorosei jump Luffy would cause some issues, I believe they’re gonna have a hard time putting him down.
This conflict going on at Egghead’s feels like it’s going to be one big game of ‘Protect the Stronghold’, very much unlike any other timed countdown we’ve seen thus far. The Strawhats have to fend off the Government till Vegapunk’s message can play, then get the hell outta dodge afterwards.
Excited to see how things play out for the Egghead Island arc, and then if our crew’s finally gonna make their way to Elbaf.

The most obvious possibility for the gorosei not being damaged is hat they had someone with the ope-ope fruit perform the immortality thing on them. I mean they have slaves, it's not hard to believe that over the centuries that they have lived they got some slaves to eat that fruit and then have him kill himself to give them immortality.

one of the properties of luffy turning into rubber is that physical hits are absord and do less damage than otherwise. if in gear fifth luffy turns everything around him toonish and rubbery, even his opponents, then maybe he is making his enemies more resilient as well. everyone of his attacks although impressive are way less destructive than they would seem, thus making them less violent and more toonish/childfriendly. luffy's fight against kaido rather than who is more powerful, was was a youngster against an old person. probably the gear fifth is more about mental exaustion than sheer force. and it would mean that this superpowerful shonen hero is unable to kill anyone, not directly at least.
also, the telepathic connection between the gorousei perhapps mirrors the connection between the vegapunks
what if instead of the gorosei succeeding in destroying punk records, imu decides to take drastic measures, and uses the mother flame on egghead. what if that’s a part of vegapunks plan… he told the world specifically to use video transponder snails, implying that there’s something he wants them to see. i think it’d be fitting if vegapunk(the current smartest human alive), planned on imu really not liking what he has to say, and therefore setup a countermeasure. there’s also a good chance that this is just a prerecorded message being streamed from another island entirely.

It seems that people missed out the part where Saturn is minister of Defense and Science. Which means, among the five elders, he is the most durable. He can take damages like it is nothing since he is mythical zoan user. A DF with beast form and Logia abilities. Marco first shown this to us during the Marineford war.
I think the only way to defeat saturn is by breaking one part of his body or weapon. What if the soul is inside his scepter? The only way to find it, is by performing advance observation haki like GOD USSOPP's coloring haki. He can see the shape of soul from a long distance.
To think even now some people think that Kizaru might turn sides after doing what he did is unbelievable 😮😂. Seriously these people are showing more empathy for an Admiral than to Zoro and Sanji 😅
I am sure kizaru hasn’t gone all out this entire arc, due to being conflicted about his mission. You can see it in his face the two times luffy knocked him into the ground.

Because at the end of the day he did what he is ordered to do which is killing his friend. I don't think he can turn sides because of his very nature "the unclear justice". Kizaru said himself in the early chapters of this Egghead arc that he is just a government dog or slave I don't exactly remember the wording he put. What I think about him is, he would rather be a WB servent than to have his own opinion on something because of his very nature unlike Akainu and Kuzan who has clear idea of what they are doing and what they want to do. This is just my own opinion on these characters by how much I understand watching them. But obviously opinions differ for each individual since everyone sees and understand things different from one another. No offense.😊

It baffles me that people think VP did not plan this intentionally the moment he was marked for death by the WG.
He will drop some info on how evil the WG is, show a live feed of the transformed Gorosei, explain someone rules the entire world as well.
Then once the message is almost over, and everyone except the Gorosei are safely off and away from the island, VP is going to erase Egghead like the Ancient Kingdom and Lulusia was erased (Lulusia this arc) this time with 5 of the top WG on it:
Vegapunk created the weapon the WG uses to erase Lulusia so he knows how to use it. He could use the same weapon or “invented” a second one.
He also manufactures the mother flame required to make the weapon run.
The Gorosei does not want egghead destroyed because that’s where they get the source of fuel for their weapon.
The foreshadowing and parallels almost confirms this:
Sabaody: Kuma “erases” (sends away) the SHs
Egghead: VP erases Egghead and kills the Gorosei
Beginning of arc the 5 Gorosei erase Lulusia to prevent Sabo from leaking info on the transponder snails to the RAs, soul purpose to kill Sabo which they fail to do because he got off the island.
End of this arc Vegapunk is sending the info Sabo attempted to give the RA, but this time to the whole world, and then will destroy the 5 Gorosei members with this weapon and they can’t escape probably because the Ancient Robot keeps them busy and not able to teleport off the island.

I think when shaka was talking to dragon, that's when he arranged for dragon to broadcast his message if his heart stopped beating. The elders are coming to egghead to prevent it but it isn't being broadcast from egghead.

Saturns form is based off of a yokai(an evil spirit) so I think what he's doing is making himself intangible like a ghost. When you see Luffy hit him the visual makes it look like Luffy is phasing through him. This makes sense as if you're intangible you can't really take damage. Although I'm not sure if haki would bypass this ability or not. In hind sight that makes this fruit seem similar to special paramecia as it gives you an ability similar to a logia. Yet seemingly immune to even haki.

Kats devil fruit functions like a logia but unlike logia's he has to physically turn his body into mochi to have the attack go through him. Logia's don't have to do that as their physical body is the element they embody at all times, no on/off switch. This may be the same situation with Saturn, he might have to physically change his body to have attacks phase through him. I think the gorosei had a 2nd awekening that brings out the will of the devil fruit like the first awekening affects the environment so the 2nd must be the affecting of the actual users or the devil fruit it self
Since the Gorosei seem to be impervious to damage I wonder if the barrier protecting the lab can stop them. Saturn doesn't seem to care about taking damage so there should be no reason he can't just go through it, other than Luffy stopping him, so I wonder if there's something else preventing him from just charging through the barrier. Since its based on Kizaru's power's maybe they have a weakness to light?
