World class interview! There is nobody better suited for rally interviews than Colin. This packed in so much great insight to the drivers and teams. Great content!
I love this channel. The insight is incredible and I can't wait for this one. Its hard to look past Rovenpera. But my bold prediction is Gus on the podium. Bit this is rallying, predictions are useless and that's why I adore it!
Remember Elfyns's dad on night road rallies in the early 1980s, Cilwendeg Rally etc.. You could hear dad Gwyndaf coming from miles away at 7,000 + rpm!!! 😳😁😎
@@peterad1529 of the current batch, he is the one that fits the description most. But the word Gods refers to the place and the heritage, not the drivers only.
Sordo makes a good point about them having a set of tyres just for the stadium Super special. Definitely would makes drivers push harder on that stage creating more of s spectacle
28:00 can't beat a bit of rear positive (negative? I forget, bottom sticking out I mean) camber on some cars. I use to swear by it on classic Minis - use the front wheels to pull the car around, back leaning so wheels and tyres are then anyway more vertical.
50:47 - up to past the old lead mines up the moors, Cwmystwyth in Ceredigion Cardiganshire, and the Tregaron to Abergwesyn road down and up the Devil's Staircase and it's three Irish bridges/fords next to it, Colin, yes! Future Wales Rally GB. 👍🏴😎
What a great question @ 36:15 I find it difficult to comprehend why in U.K we do not have a World Championship event running and its about time those in charge become more transparent and explain themselves clearly why this was ever aloud?
The Japan driver I remember the most is the eccentric Tak doing Pike's Peak International Hill Climb year after year, still does maybe, in Colorado USA. Amazing great character. 👍🙂🇯🇵
it still is tough, although not like the good old days, dont be surprised if you see plenty of punctures and collapsing suspensions during the weekend, this is Greece and it can bite, hard
Sounds like Adrian Fourmeaux might have been suffering from heat stroke on last day Belgium Ypres - classic signs he's describing. The mind goes, feeling sick, etc... It is hot in them helmets. Overheated brain. 👍😎🇨🇵
On hot rallies, after a day, go into a cold shower for half an hour if you are succeptable to heat stroke, and pour water over head during day between stages. It is funny it is, it happens very suddenly, that edge is very thin.
Drink little and often in hot weather, don't drink too much all at once, disturbs the blood electrolytes in blood. My armed forces training showing through, ready then for T. E. Lawrence Arabic deserts. 😎👍

EP is the coolest guy among all drivers!
Best wishes Kalle.
Lappi, I like his mojo, great fella talking. 👍👍🇫🇮🇫🇮
The Rally of the Gods!
Well Loeb is there 😉

In the 1970s, The Acropolis Rally, dear God, the huge rocks, on the tracks! Huge car wrecker it was then. All cars effed, scrap.

This weekend?
Thanks for the cylinder heads up.
Vroom! Zoom! Bish-bash-bosh...
Ott difficult morning - the morning after he went for a swim in a big pond in Mexico... 😳

Rally GB charges £100+ per spectator over the 3 days while most EU events are free to spectate. I don't understand why Rally GB not running.
Sad, I was expecting some comments from Jourdan Serderidis, the "local" star...
