A lot people put a lot of demands on Kalles time over the weekend but he handled it well. He’s a class act both in and out of the car. Brilliant to see him going through Molls Gap. Bring on WRC Ireland 🏁🇮🇪🇫🇮
Fantastic driving from two humble superstars. I cant imagine how nerve wracking that was for Jonne...new car, new stages, in atrocious (Irish) weather. Good for the sport, good for the spectators, and great fun for the duo too. I bet the local drivers enjoyed comparing their stage times too. Love to see them back next year, and future WRC event maybe!
Love this video format. It's not that often us rally fans get to see the rally scenes during the event. Seeing all of those beautiful cars been put to proper use is awesome.
We are the ones to thank for the entertainment and excitement you always deliver, regardless of motorsport or other craziness you indulge in. Thanks Kalle & Jonne and DirtFish.
Brilliant to see the level for fun these guys had and the exposer of the Irish hospitality. Well done to Jason & Garrett for there generosity for putting the car in the hands of a WRC champ and let him just go at it. The Smiles sed it all😉😊
What a treat to see someone at the top of their game obviously enjoying it and showing so much respect for appreciative fans. So different to other sports with far better paid hissy fit specialists!
What a wonderful rally! I love that they enjoyed Ireland, had a great time on the stages and with the fans. Hopefully they'll return and bring some friends along in the future! Go raibh maith agat! ☘
That's how ya drive a 2.5 starlet what a man to be able go that hard when it's your first time in that car and on Irish tarmac in typical Irish weather. Fastest over the gap too. Absolute legend 👏
one of the greatest talents in motor racing, amazing his drives in Porsche cup, also would like see him against Top GT3 drivers, Rally he has nothing to prove anymore...incredible car control! All the best
What a pleasure to see WRC superstars Kalle and Jonne driving the Starlet like hell and happy like kids on a carousel. Thank you everybody (driver, co-driver, team, crew, Dirtfish, etc.) from Milan. Pier 😁🤩💥
Kiedy patrzę z kamerki Twojej jazdy , to jakbym był w jakimś matrixsie ! Jesteś artystą Kalle ... artystą którego nie do końca rozumie . Nie jestem pojąć tego fenomenu ! ...dzięki !👍
The Kid was on fire , for a Finn he was smiling a lot, nice to see a WRC Champion among normal people always with a smile on his face talking pictures with is fans , a truly champion, thanks Kalle
Great video and story to the rally overall. You can tell that Kalle had such a great time, just dong his thing and really enjoying it, no pressure. It would be good to see more of the top boys come over and do this rally each year. Give them all the same car and see what happens.
Looks like a lot of fun. Know one is supposed to visit Ireland in the summer. But, this looks like a lot of fun. Be great to arrange a car over there to enter into the rally.
He seams a genuine nice guy..love how they spent so much time for autographs aswell..hope this happens again at some point..if it does then a will defo be coming over for it..absolutely brilliant video..🚗🔥❤️
rally onboards are always wild but wow that looked absolutely terrifying, you know it's crazy when even Jonne was shitting his pants despite what his job is 🤣
What an awesome video. No clue what engine was used in this, but if it was from 80's I have a feeling that moisture went to distrubutor and that killed it. Had an rwd starlet decades ago. Gearbox must have been zf. But just a tiny amount of water or moisture in the distributor kills the engine. Although I think that todays teams don't have that kind of problems often, but even the condencation can do it. I used to cover mine with plastic bag and zip ties as a young lad and sandpaper the connecting points :). Cheers from Finland everyone!
You gotta take your hat off to them both for doing this, it can't be easy driving at that pace in those conditions in someone else's car. What great ambassadors they are for rallying with so much enthusiasm. If that hasn't helped Irelands position in getting the WRC in Ireland then nothing will. Only sad thing is, with the new 27 regs it may well not be Rally 1 cars. Wouldn't it be good to get a few more WRC drivers do this kind of thing!
What a fantastic young fella, I remember watching his dad drive, must be so proud of his son’s character as well as driving ability. Great to see no aires & graces, in the garage eating ‘rally food’
Its amazing to look at those roads nowadays ... Molls Gap is on the main tourist route around keery so always well kept, but Ballaghbeama back in the 80s was a a mess of gravel and potholes! My favourite riads to drive in a rally car, they deserve to be in a WRC round!
@garyrowe58 Agree, in many ways. Killarney is more like a sprint or hill climb, many guys watch loads of in car and have completed the same stages year after year on road which have excellent surface. The rally bit is sort of not there......needs some completely new stages brought into the mix
Amazing how sports, hobbies and interests bring the world together…. Unlike governments, politicians and banks . Some great footage reminiscent of the good old Lombard RAC days where crowds true followers.
I just realised he's driving a right handed car here and he normally drives left handed on WRC. And he PULLS left steering wheel paddle to shift UP! For normal paddle shift cars (like Ferrari 458) that's shift down. Jeez that's so confusing for my brain I can't believe he drives so flawlessly.
It was wonderful to see this, and it's clear that they both had a good time. I would love to know the specs on that Starlet. :) Hearing it sing makes me want to buy another one.
As much as i fear he's gonna ruin/dominate the WRC for a fair few years to come you cant help but love the kid, seems to have a genuine love of the sport both past and present and is a breath of fresh air for the WRC
That's a KP Starlet he is driving but there was definitely a Talbot or two in that rally. A definite favourite in Ireland. Rare as hens teeth all the same.
Great video 👍👍👍👍 I always think just how good are they if they drove a car that’s not factory supported. Well now we know 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 Say no more 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

100%
Driver and Co-driver are a credit to the sport - what smashing people! As are the organisers and the person who loaned the car .Well done all !
Best rally video from 2024!
Congrats Kalle and Jonne for the great spirit!
Fantastic driving from two humble superstars.

Brilliant video. I think I had a smile the whole way through! Kalle showed his class here, both on the tarmac, and personally! Great to see!
Absolutely brilliant, what a crowd & rally. Fair play to all involved.
Just lovely, great vibes, rally at heart.
Love this video format. It's not that often us rally fans get to see the rally scenes during the event. Seeing all of those beautiful cars been put to proper use is awesome.
We need IRE on the WRC calendar. I'm 100% getting the ferry over for a few rounds of the Irish championship in future. Slainte!
There was talk of it but the government "couldn't afford it" and it was shelved
We are the ones to thank for the entertainment and excitement you always deliver, regardless of motorsport or other craziness you indulge in. Thanks Kalle & Jonne and DirtFish.

Great footage guys! It was a pleasure to meet and interview kalle! What a great weekend they had!
The most enjoyable and detailed motorsport video of the whole year !
What a treat to see someone at the top of their game obviously enjoying it and showing so much respect for appreciative fans. So different to other sports with far better paid hissy fit specialists!
Brilliant video ! Well done to the lads from BMV .
Fantastic to see the craic being had
I had a massive smile on my face all the way through that 😁
Super awesome footage guys. Going to have to Visit Ireland now. Such a great atmosphere . Happy Holidays Rally fans 🫡
What a wonderful rally! I love that they enjoyed Ireland, had a great time on the stages and with the fans. Hopefully they'll return and bring some friends along in the future! Go raibh maith agat! ☘
Magic 👏 thank you also Dirtfish🍻
Super cool cars, super cool guys, and an weather. That's a 10/10 event in my book
That's how ya drive a 2.5 starlet what a man to be able go that hard when it's your first time in that car and on Irish tarmac in typical Irish weather. Fastest over the gap too. Absolute legend 👏
Fastest over the gap on the second loop. Duggans time from the first loop was still the fastest on the day.
He started his driving with a Starlet back in the day, so must have felt comfortable behind the wheel.
Full of friendly and helpful people, what country is it? Of course Ireland! Stunning scenery, great rally. Thank you Ireland ❤

Great vidéo Thank you, this crew is such good news for rallye fans

Kalle & Jonne are the best pairing ever.
Always smiling & taking time for the fans.
I really wish them a 3rd championship next year 👏

Great video, and fair play to everyone who was out in that weather.
Great, thx a lot for sharing! 😎👍
Good to see Austin McHale, what a man in his day for Opel, Toyota and Ford.....multiple Irish Tarmac Champion
Great video and story to the rally overall.
You can tell that Kalle had such a great time, just dong his thing and really enjoying it, no pressure.

Great video the irish always class act in rallying ,kalle and his co driver spot on lads too

FRのトヨタ スターレットカッコいいですね!!
Kalle meeting Austin MacHale, class
Kalle needs to come do the Otago Rally for 2025 as a guest driver in the famous Escort that Meeke drove earlier this year.
I'd be heading down to the octagon for the Dunedin start that is for sure!
1:00 Did Kalle just sign a baby 😂
1:06 That lil sideways look and slight smile... Ya think in a "few" years that baby might be overtaking you? 😂
I just realised he's driving a right handed car here and he normally drives left handed on WRC. And he PULLS left steering wheel paddle to shift UP! For normal paddle shift cars (like Ferrari 458) that's shift down.

This kid is so fun to watch! rac in the escort was mega too.
Serious pilot 👆🏻👊🏻
He didn't come to mess about.
Niiiiiice
Ireland 🤝Finland - two of the best rallying countries!
I don't think that starlet gets such punishment ever again. :D
Circuit of Ireland is a great event. Nearly 100% tarmac and tight roads so super quick
Kalle is doing the job that WRC should do. Just for fans & adventure. Just like a young man should live his live at maximum. I do like it.
Please WRC, bring the World Rally Championship back to Ireland.
Excellent stuff! So am I right in thinking that without the first morning electrical issue, Kalle would have been up there, fighting for the win?
It was wonderful to see this, and it's clear that they both had a good time.
I would love to know the specs on that Starlet. :) Hearing it sing makes me want to buy another one.
Great
Great video 👌what pro’s the guys are to drive like that in a RHD car
always questioned the starlet GT ..askin myself why is the stock gt soo good... now i know why!
Would be amazing to see some of the top drivers do Jersey Rally
Brilliant the lads got him going. Other lads not slowing much for the yellow!!!.
As much as i fear he's gonna ruin/dominate the WRC for a fair few years to come you cant help but love the kid, seems to have a genuine love of the sport both past and present and is a breath of fresh air for the WRC

So it is a Starlet with Sadev gearbox. Looks very cool. Hopefully some day I get a chance to test drive this kind of rallycar.

Yeah he had his own rallye Starlet at age 11 already doing youtube teasers 😎

what gearbox is in that hing? shifts are seamless...

Props to Kalle for participating, but this makes me miss Craig Breen. Hopefully he's somewhere out there enjoying this event.

もう、日本で見る事が殆ど無理なKPが、元気にチャンプのドライブで走ってる姿は、最高だね🎉
Can we get the molls gap onboard?
I think it’s on UA-cam
Great video, good to see them enjoying it so much.
As a viewer also great to have a video without Colin clark
I enjoyed that , thanks. Roll on May 2025.
Don't mind the more powerfull engines and the better and upgraded modern safety measures and devices. But I do think they should be driving a manual stick shifted gearbox as they did back in the day.
Rallying went wrong when rally cars stopped going sideways on tarmac.
