That's why that loss to Tennessee at the end of the season hurt even more. Had they beaten Tennessee, they beat LSU in the SEC Championship game and meet up with Miami in the Rose Bowl. The Gators even won the Orange Bowl by 33 points against the 6th ranked team at the time.
