- I made a restoration my friend’s leather jacket made in Germany around 1970’s. It needs a total care; cleaning, sewing, the ripped parts, renewing the buttons and a total dyeing. At the end I will apply Kinikgoods wax to keep to waterproof. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the video! (:
Did you make the black dye yourself, if so, what are the proportions (alcohol/water/..) ?
Is this restoration good for lambskin?
Thanks. I made it myself using alcohol and pigment. I will prepare a video about leather dying in the coming days.
thx for the vid!
are you willing to share the diy dye recipe?
is it vinegaroon?
🙏
alcohol with pigment recipe
Perdon que le ingredientes le puso a la olla que luego le agrego sal? Con eso se genero la tintura? Gracias!!❤
hoLa. I made pumpkin dessert in a pot. 🤗 You can use a normal leather dye.
Hey great video. Where did you buy your leather dye from?
Thanks 🙏 Unfortunately, I do not sell the dye

رائع🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤

How do you clean and get the mold smell out of a leather motorcycle jacket that has been left in the forest wet for a couple of months?
Dry the coat thoroughly in sunny weather, check its smell, this may take a while. Then, you can follow the cleaning steps in the video, dry it thoroughly and apply a suitable polish. I hope it gets fixed.
How do you clean the inner part?
First a soapy cloth and then a moistly fabric
@@kinikgoods Thank you!!!
I could be wrong but I always thought the patina on a leather jacket was more desirable and asthetically pleasing. Isn't that why people like to buy vintage and distressed leathers? Don't get me wrong, the end result looks amazing and you breathed new life into that jacket, but if it were mine I don't think I would want it redyed. Maybe it's just individual preference.
I feel the same but is handy having it restored for smarter occasions like work.
Oh, also the distressed leather really absorbed water if it rains so if you want something to protect you more from the weather best to polish it
What product would you use for a dark brown stain
If you did not want your own?
@@redlady935Yeah but does dying really add more protection from rain? I don't think there's anything in dye that helps repel the rain...I could be wrong. I would think just adding a good conditioner and protectant on a regular basis would do the job.
Nice. We are manufacturer and suppliers of Fashion Leather Jackets.
Now i'm wondering about the end of the pumpkin dessert :(
😍
Why castor oil? There are so many leather conditioners.
because of homemade formula you can use other conditioners:)
@kinikgoods I was just wondering if there was a something that would make castor oil more beneficial. This is an outstanding video!
What about coconuts oil
Baby oil?
I've never tried :)
tbh i liked it better before the restoration
😂
I agree. The vintage patina was much better. Why dye it? Took away the character.
@@13ranzz Most of the times I did it without dyeing, this time I wanted to dye it.
