This is rather a small piece of cinematic history you captured. I do not see why anybody would thumbs down this very unique video catch. Maybe they did not like the motion picture. I think you were in a very unique position when you got this on video. Good job.
Do you remember the locomotive in the movie, one is in the transport museum and the other was converted as NS, CSXT, Ferromex, Ferrosur, KCS, CP, currently it is CPKC, CN and UP after finishing filming the movie the railway icon It is CPKC 9782 The original Triple Seven Unstoppable Heritage is now in the museum.
i love railfaning CP, and 2 times while i was railfaning i have caught CP 9777 leading a grain train (CP 301) and i have also caught CP 9782 leading a mixed freight train (CP 400 Extra)!
It was so that they could film the train travelling either direction, saving set up time. Notice that the car consist was also similar in both directions.
@alexsekora The AWVR units were part of the revenue. They were running and tied in. Why they were in between the NS units is unknown. Unless perhaps the trailing NS units were being dropped somewhere also. The consist was not a big one. Three engines could have done the job no problem.
if you watch close in the one scene in "Brewster Yard" which is Brewster, Ohio W&LE's yard all the Black and Orange trains are W&LE as you see in my pic
Would've been really awesome if train 1206 was played by the CSX 8888 locomotive. Would've been a really cool Easter egg for rail fans. Great movie nonetheless.
Ben Moak that would have been really cool indeed but it would have made no sence xD cause a train that went runaway in real chases a runaway train and CSX 8888 was the INSPIRATION for 777 so the inspiration chases what he brought to life i dont understand myself anymore xD
That don't make sense. 1206 and 8888 were both SD40-2's. After posting this I discovered that 1206 was played by three different engines, one of which was taken apart for cab shots. 8888 couldn't have played 1206 for the whole movie, but it could've made a cameo in one scene. Would've been cool.
@Theandrewstitanic the train actually comes to a stop and The one who was supposed to be in the cab of the train loses his job and is now working in a fast food industry
people driving the norfolk southern train is like cool❤️❤️ i love NS don’t make the NS train to be unstoppable go ahead to give me a large french fry from McD❤️nald's
I'm a ho scale model railroader it be cool if cp rail work a deal out with the movie company and release exclusive paint scheme of this loco to run on our lay outs or hell even give us the entire set with the pixon tankers
there is was a video called unstoppable train blasting through tyrone witch at first you only see the front plus and trying to reskin a msts dash 9 to look like 777 its on my channel if you want to see it.
yes I know 777 is a acc4400 locomotive and the reason I chose the dash 9 that came with msts because it (to me at lest) looks like AWVR 777 and I don,t like to reskin trains that people who don,t want there work reskined .

I honestly think that CP should keep one of the units in the AWVR paint scheme as a tribute to the movie "Unstoppable."
I❤️UNSTOPPABLE it’s a great movie
I agree
bkriegel95 Mybe 1 sets of train
Jay Dirt Bag
Your comments are just as shitty as the movie, loser! Lol

they shouldn´t repaint them.
it would be cool if cp just patched them and left them in the paint scheme
I thought the same thing
For Those Of You Who Didn’t Know Where 1206 Went, It Went Back To The W&LE Railroad & It Was Back To It’s Number, 6353
sounds beautiful, pure power
Holy CRAP, this movie was the BEST movie I have EVER watched, AMAZING thriller!
i love railfaning CP, and 2 times while i was railfaning i have caught CP 9777 leading a grain train (CP 301) and i have also caught CP 9782 leading a mixed freight train (CP 400 Extra)!
Yeah I remember seeing those all over Hampton Roads, esp. Norfolk at traffic hour in the afternoon rolling through Wards Corner from/ to NIT.
Its different that they had engines in the front of the set and the back of the set on, you wouldnt think they would need to do that
It was so that they could film the train travelling either direction, saving set up time. Notice that the car consist was also similar in both directions.
Not only that but at the same time you just witnessed the ultimately Rare 9 Engine lead. :P
so locomotives CAN be actors. interesting; I thought the locomotives were not in service for an actual railway.
CP should make HUs
Like a repainted AWVR 777
And 767!
That wouldn't be a heritage unit...
technically wouldas the unit did exis for a few months of filmingand they still have the same plows
Henry Lombard-Hughes They kinda would. Showing their heritage in movies, I guess?
Samuel T would be kinda cool lol. And I stand corrected. CP now has heritage units
@@myeyeisnotblue well it can now in 2021 as this happened 11 years ago-
Nice horn and one heck of a consist even if those weren't movie locos!
So, these are actually Canadian Pacific locomotives? good to know
@CuseRecorder We (CP) kept the pilots
Sooo... Canadian Pacific has a movie on it? Cool!
@alexsekora The AWVR units were part of the revenue. They were running and tied in. Why they were in between the NS units is unknown. Unless perhaps the trailing NS units were being dropped somewhere also. The consist was not a big one. Three engines could have done the job no problem.
Lol, I think it's hilarious how similar every train is, yet an extra inch here and there could mean a COMPLETELY different model.
Canadian Pacific said; "No, we shouldn't repaint it before we take it back, let's just spraypaint it!
They Are AC4400CW's, An ES44AC has a longer radiator section in the back and the door and vent placements are different...
@CSXManG21 The SD units were leased from W&LE. My guess it that they are back at the W&LE. It would nice if they didn't get repainted.
Cimarron Westfolk yes you are correct W&LE still has them I'm grey paint job and blue paint job
awesome video !
ive caught 2 outta the 4 GE's that were in the movie. 9758 & 9777.
i have 9751 in HO scale.
There is a company called the AVR but the AWVR is completely fictional...
Wow a Norfolk southern hi-hood more rare than those wave units lol
It would be nice if the unstoppable movie was made in Alabama
the SD40-2 was repainted to W&LE company paint and the real engine number is 6353
if you watch close in the one scene in "Brewster Yard" which is Brewster, Ohio W&LE's yard all the Black and Orange trains are W&LE as you see in my pic
The grey Sd40s were either ex seaboard or CSX YN1 schemes.
Michael Stillwagner non of those
what we all wish would happen with Justin Bieber
Tivis7 Hell yeah
@shadowhunter388 depending, Could indicate that train/units are about to move. Or could be from track work, crossings, all sorts of things.
@imaghostbuster36 Yes, I have another video showing these four units after being repainted.
pretty awesome

***** they couldnt use real engine numbers i think so thats why they changed the numbers ;)
That would've been so cool! Sadly 8888 Was scrapped and is now a SD40-3
WoW!
What ever happened to AWVR 1206
It went to the Wheeling and Lake Erie in Ohio, that's where 7375 and 7346 went aswell.
CP stands for Canadian Pacific
+Trainmaster Everyone should know that, well everyone who lives in canada.
No shit sherlock.
awsome
Cool trains of avwr
Well they were linked up with the other locomoitves at the point.
Went back to W&LE
@Theandrewstitanic the train actually comes to a stop and The one who was supposed to be in the cab of the train loses his job and is now working in a fast food industry
people driving the norfolk southern train is like cool❤️❤️ i love NS don’t make the NS train to be unstoppable go ahead to give me a large french fry from McD❤️nald's
The number plates on both 777 and 767 have changed
They should've just painted two BNSF diesels. They're very similarly colored.
cp 9777 has the AWVR plow
Some CSX Locomotives right?
What are the current CP numbers
777 is 9382 and 767 9751
2nd set of 777 Is 9777
OK i know it's late but the numbers from the first set is 9782 and 9751
Why is Norfolk southern taking AWVR 777
Wasent the number sign on top the cab of the first loco now why is it down?
That wasn’t filmed at East cook rd was it.
1:26 CP 9782 is the real 777
NS SD40-2 and CP AWVR AC4400CW
What did the SD40-2 loco's belong too?
Wheeling & Lake Erie
Gosto de ver trens sao maquinas fantasticas e poderosas 😊😊 paulo
Why do train drivers ring the bell? What does that mean? Reversing or departing?
That's what has seven seven six seven that's right with the black one has 776 and 767
Just letting you know that they aren't but I understand. ;)
I'm a ho scale model railroader it be cool if cp rail work a deal out with the movie company and release exclusive paint scheme of this loco to run on our lay outs or hell even give us the entire set with the pixon tankers
and they got to repaint them cos wat ever company owns them thts not ther coulors so the got paint them back to company coulors if u know wat i mean
Am I the only one that noticed the paint scheme looks like Santa Fe warbonnet?
No your not the only one that noticed that. At first I thought they where Santa Fe trains
i can see how you can say that from the front, but there is no actual bonnet...so..no
there is was a video called unstoppable train blasting through tyrone witch at first you only see the front plus and trying to reskin a msts dash 9 to look like 777 its on my channel if you want to see it.

All the AWVR units were D.I.C. why weren't they under power?!
Is AWVR even a real train company?
What does AWVR stand for?
Allegheny & West Virginia Railroad
I get it now!
What happened to the one they crashed?
@CimarronWestfolk yeah it would of been cool.
one of 777 is 9777
What happened to the SD40-2?
I’m sad now it’s not fictional it’s real I’m a 100% sure it’s real
Was this the newest one with Denzel Washington?
What happened to 1206??
Why did they have 2 of the same thing??!!
To make diffrent shots and stuff most movies have multiple of the same stuff
Just saying, but those look more like ES44AC's to me.
Why is there 2 777’s and 767’s?
One set for early production and one set for late production
was 777 an r.c.l?
1:44 767
@sexyboy2448 There is no such thing as a railroad company such as AWVR.
Why freight on the same train??
why not? Still real locos
Think it would be a difficult to deliver engines go all the way back then deliver the freight
First deliver engines
Then transport cargo
Simple
they basically treat the engines as freight. its rolls, has a pick up point and a destination, just like all the other freight on that train
The lead Loco was "Manned" right? Jk lol
what happed to 1206?
+crwa train fan Nein now the creator of the video did not say anything about 1206 being there now did they
+crwa train fan Nein 1206 locomotives belonged to a different company
it was there. pause the video and you can see the 2nd/3rd blue engine is 1206
@@CircleofLifeStudios ...
VVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYY slow why didnt they just drive the ES44AC's?
