Apostolis Antimos from SBB used it in 1978 - 1980 (since '79 as main guitar) and absolutely love clear and overdriven rock and jazz tones from simply this guitar and Fender Twin Reverb Amp.
You forgot to mention how heavy they are! But it’s worth it for the sound. Another Bean player was Greg Lake of ELP, I know this because I have his Bean 😉
They're only 9 pounds. They're lighter than most Les Pauls. I guess if all you've ever played is Strats, then that could seem heavy. I grew up playing 14 pound Peaveys, so Travis Beans are on the light end to me.
First time I hear a cover of a Shellac song, loved it! I did once tribute Shellac with a cocktail named after another song from At Action Park ua-cam.com/video/0GaKYXjpR00/v-deo.html
Sad that the drummer doesn't like the Grateful Dead. You can tell how he just blasts through the solo with absolutely no accounting for the rise and fall of the guitar solo. So many opportunities for dynamics wasted....
Thumbs up for the Bertha cover! That was beautiful!
The tones in this video are absolutely unreal
Great job guys
Thank you!! 🤘🤘
So great you opened the video with Shellac! ❤️
Shellac AND The Jesus Lizard?
Favorite demo of all time
Thanks for letting me sit in on the jam!! Such a blast.
"Don't get me wrong, he's nice guy, I like him just fine...but he's a mouth breather."
The best line in all of rock. 😊
Without this video i wouldnt know what the band shellac was so thank you for introducing me and others to shellac.
I love the live performances of John Haughm from Agalloch with this guitar is amazing!
Shellac Of North America 🤘

Ty Segall uses two of them. cool guitar
Slash had a few of these. He even had one as a teenager in 1983.
Rory Gallagher's Travis Bean is being sold at auction tomorrow at Bonhams in London!
Whoa! That’s awesome!
Nice Bertha cover
Dominic Aitchison from Mogwai plays a lot of Travis Bean basses
The riff from 2:04 is killer!
It's Mouthbreather by The Jesus Lizard :)
@@doogdoogdoogdoogdoogdoog been listening to Goat quite a bit since watching this video!
Love my descendant Kramers (79 DMZ-4001 and 81 Stagemaster Custom) basses. Travis Bean should have stayed in it.

Nathaniel could make a broom sound like a vintage Gibson!

Dead covers are a sure way to get more eyes on it.
Tell the folks back home you played an Al You Many yum not a steel guitar.

Opening song was just terrible. Sorry. The rest of the video was great. I’ve always wanted a Travis Bean 6-string
